Hey guys, I'm finally back with the true smoke report of this Skywalker OG Gelato Auto! This has been a wonderful experience growing this cultivar from Ganja Farmer Seeds. She's rocking a beautiful hard to describe aroma. Saying that she smells like sweet flowery berrys with earthy backtones won't describe how wonderful she smells and tastes. After a long 14 day dry and 30 plus day cure, she is leaving some sweet earthy tastes on the palette. Also, she formed some pretty dense buds that are pretty caked and I'm really happy with the end result. Thank you Ganja Farmer for hitting us with some really good genetics 👊😁💨

Classic indica growth pattern, stout and shorter with nice leaves. Showing very good health and coming on very well. Little slower than most but I guess that's the indica genetics.

Beginning of week.. I am beginning the flush today.. I ran some FloraKleen thru the medium.. Then just watwr tomorrow.. Then FloraKleen once more the next day.. Then just water till harvest! Not even going to pH the water and I want to see if it brings up the runoff pH any.. Just for shits and giggles, I suppose. Look at those colas! Man, they are gonna be delicious! Mid week.. Wow.. These girls are maturing quick! I think I could harvest in the next couple days.. But 1 more week should do wonders! They are both neck and neck with eachother it seems.. A few ambers starting to pop up all over the top colas.. I think by next week they should be perfecto!!! So excited! I did a super late defoliation.. I know that is not ideal to do this so late.. But the humidity is getting crazy out of control at times.. It doesn't sit there very long.. But my dehumidifier is much needed. The fans should be helping combat any mold.. I hope 🤞🤞🤞 should be fine.. These are some super sense nugs! Even the lower nugs are pretty dense! So so SO excited!!! End of week... Posted a video this update.. Plants are looking great! The Mandarin Cookies is flopping all over the place lol.. I COULD harvest now.. But I'm going to wait 1 more week.. They should be perfect! That will be 10 weeks from 12/12.. As of today.. The mediums of both plants should be good and flushed by now.. I've been using unpH'd rainwater to flush (30 - 40 PPM at 7.0 pH).. And some FloraKleen (2x for both plants) and now the runoff is reading about 80 PPM at 6.8 pH for the ETHOS Cookies and about 100 PPM at 6.3 pH for the Mandarin Cookies.. Very excited for this run to be over.. Kinda wanna try a 1 plant ScrOG'd in this 2'x4' tent under the Optic Slim 320H before I swap out tents and start bustin out the autoflowers till it's cool again 😎 but I am ready to start smokin these ladies! Anyways... On to the LAST week!!!...

This week they have grown super, but unfortunately they are getting lighter. 3 days ago I added another 1 g per liter of GHSC Powder Feeding Bio Grow substrate, as they still remain a bit in the veggie. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to release the nutrients. Whatever the reason, that still not all trips are elemened 🤬. I've only seen some before, and treated directly with neem oil so that it finally has a rest ☺️. This is a cross I am testing. I am using a "hempy bucket" style grow. It is a drain to waste system that uses 80% perlite and 20% vermiculite as the grow medium. I will use these solo cups for the first couple weeks and up pot from there. I like to keep my growing simple and fairly inexpensive, I will use General Hydroponics for the entire grow except for the cal-mag. My intentions are to use the 10 week standard feed schedule made for these nutrients unless I run into some major issues.

The first plant I harvested on 23/09/22 day 72, she faded out in lovely reds, purples and almost black fan leaves. She was coated in glistening frost all over and smelt like petrol/fuel with a subtle grapey fruit after twang. I dried her at 60%RH - 18*c for around 9/10 days before putting into a jar. I’ve been burping her for a week now and she smells fantastic. I’ll post some bud pics when both plants are dry. Plant two I harvested on 09/10/22, she was 88 days old and her buds were firm, but not solid. Forgot to take some pre harvest photos so instead I took a quick video of the main cola. Her buds leave a layer of sticky grease all over your fingers, and the smell is to die for. She’s currently drying in the same conditions as the previous plant. Both plants were grown in less than adequate pots as testers, but grew easily and appeared to thrive throughout. Neither got any sort of training as I wanted to see what kind of natural structure would occur. Il do an update with pictures of both plants once they are cured. I highly recommend giving these seeds a go if you’ve got the space! If you haven’t tried Mephisto Genetics yet I recommend you give them a go, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 🌱💚

This was my first ever grow and I am very pleased. The plant seemed easy to read, and although I still made lots of mistakes with the nutrients, it still seemed to thrive. The smell was strong during the grow, but it was a weird musty smell. I thought it could be mildew, but I had 5 fans in a very small grow space so I think that is unlikely. I kept the humidity around 45-55 during veg and targeted 40 during flower. The buds didn’t have enough time to grow as fat as they probably could have, and the nutrients during flower may have been low on some of the important budding nutrients. I also think there may have been borderline nitrogen toxicity during mid-flower. I dried her at 55% RH and around 70 degrees. After trimming and jarring, the true smell finally came out. I believe this is one of the best smelling strains I have had after also having the same strain from a medical dispensary. It smells wonderful! Going to cure for 2 weeks and then give it a taste. The total weight was 3.2 ounces of dry herb and 2.2 ounces of good looking shake.

August 14, day 104 (37f), the Red Mandarine is getting chunkier bit by bit. The canopy is pretty dense, but I have plenty of airflow so it should be alright. It just needs to ripen a bit more in the coming weeks and gain a little density and it should be good to harvest. August 17, day 107 (day 40f), the buds are really putting on weight at the end! The smell is also increasing, along with the lovely red tones. Switched to dry koolbloom for the last week or so, then a short flush and harvest. The Mars Hydro SP-3000 is powering through the flowering stage. I have been blown away every at step with this plant, my first grow! I've grown before but not like this and that is why I refer to myself as a newbie or this being the first time. Dutch Passion was an obvious choice for me as they were the only legit seeds I ever had experience with many many years ago. Watching the Auto Orange develop "daily" and the scent getting more and more focused was a joy and even with a window on the tent I found myself opening it enough to get my head in and get a good back of the nose full creamy citrusy assault.
