I harvested when go began to see some amber trichomes, the plant grew very well, the maturation of trichomes was quite slow. The buds are nice and full bodied and the scent is very sweet and pleasant, reminiscent of gesolmino and strawberry bubblegum.

The camera picks up far more light than there is during the night cycle, camera is showing bright pink violet collages but my eyes barely see a thing, about 0.25ppfd in that tent overnight. PAR is 400-700nm, Overnight UVA in the tent is all 365nm and 385nm, so the meter only picks up a fraction of the light curve that makes it photosynthetically active past 400nm. Growing crops with insufficient light (i.e., below “optimal,” as defined here) limits the yield potential, which in turn wastes the other production inputs including labour, water, nutrients and electricity. As lighting fixture is one of the most expensive investment of the production, what is the relationship between light intensity and yield? Potter and Duncombe (2012) grew cannabis plants with varying canopy-level PPFDs during the flowering stage and found that increasing PPFD from 400 to 900 μmol·m−2·s−1 increased yield an average of 1.3 times higher, across seven cultivars, with no light intensity treatment effects on floral cannabinoid concentrations. "Less than one half of one foot-candle of light (0.1ppfd) from sunlight will prevent cannabis from flow­ering. That is a little more light than is reflected by a full moon on a clear night. Well-bred indica-dominant plants will revert within three days. Sativa-dominant plants take four to five days to revert to vegetative growth. Overall this girl was an amazing grow. I screwed up with her early on and she looked like she was on deaths bed. The soil was too packed and I didn’t put enough perlite in the soil mix so she was re-potted twice within a couple days and once I got the soil broke up a bit, she bounced back like nothing ever happened to her. Definitely looking forward to growing this strain again.

Week 7: Well after accidentally super cropping the White Widow, splitting a branch then taping up on the Blueberry Big Devil and then mass defoliation, the ladies have coped well. I feel like I have watering dialed in now with a combination of using a soil moisture meter and picking up the pots, I have faith I am close to right with timing. The last feeding in week 6 I used full strength nutrients. This resulted in some nutrient burn with some tips of leaves changing colors. I feed just water the next go around and yesterday feed again with 1/2 strength nutrients. I will stick with that until flush. I am going to switch to dry amendments for my next grow and try that out. Temperatures are coming down into 60s at night and topping out in low 80s. Humidity has been hovering between 45-50 without any need for equipment to run. I did some lollipoping and cut lose all the secondary popcorn buds that weren't seeing the light of day. I can't think of anything I could have done physically to stress them beyond this point than I have, so from this point on out I am just going to water and feed. No more LST, adjustments, etc.. I have already been way too active in flower from my understand of autos anyway.

So it has begun... I've had to start utilizing string to hold up branches by tying them to the ceiling rods and surrounding equipment. These plants are healthier and happier than my first grow, so I wasn't quite expecting them to blow up like they did, therefore my single-layer screen was not enough to support the branches. Not to mention the net used was store-bought and kind of sucks. I prefer my double-layer from the first harvest. The Mimosa is packing on some major frost, followed closely by the Glookies. American Pie trichomes seem to appear and ripen much closer to the ending stages of flower.

It's mid-eighth week from the nut plant. About 7-10 days ago, I switched to 12/12 (end of week 6). Sour Blues is very compact, 27 cm tall. A paradise for engravers with compact spaces. In the week since switching, the 12/12 has grown in size, but hasn't tripled in height. I had a mamba plant nearby, and it's grown significantly - 48 cm. Both plants are in the same box from the nut plant; it's interesting to see and compare. At first, I thought it was the small bag (2 liters), but another experiment disproved that assumption. The thing is, I simultaneously planted another IZI seed in a plastic basket with 1.5 liters of coconut for hydroponics on HESI compote. I'm also comparing it with the same variety, but on DWC. The height is the same - 27 cm. But the width: the DWC took up almost the entire 40 x 40 cm box. The sprout in the bag is a 20 x 20 cm square. Both plants are in separate boxes, under the same 40W LED lamp. It looks like I'll be returning to the DWC soon. Now, on the DWC, it drinks exactly one liter per day at 15 liters. The clones have taken root and are now growing without a greenhouse. The fastest one took root within a week, and the others took two or three weeks to take root.

The bud-ignitor is doing what it's supposed to do, Buds are already forming on the cherry's @ day 8. Switching to Canna terra flores next week and stop using the bud-ignitor, also i gonna introduce Budfactor X @ the end of the week. 16/5/22: Week 3: VD15 for both. AN stands a little taller. But she comes of enzymes and TP goes on them this week, following their guidelines as far as when to give them the nutrients but I'm far of giving their recommend dose. 15.5 CM for AN GROW & 14cm for TP GROW. Both have been put into the 150x150x220 homebox and I have my 70x70x160 inside my big tent, this will allow me to keep the RH high in that tent while the photos veg and autos will be in full bloom. 17/5/22 both girls were topped above the 5th node. 18/5/22 Figuring out how VPD works. You could read for hours about this stuff and still not dial it in for years. But here's the basics. VPD 0.4-0.8 kpa for early seedling. So under or around 23c and around 50-60 RH. atm my VPD is 1.05kpa and for most of my plants the optimal range is .8-1.1 kpa. Temp is 80 F 25C and RH is 70%. To find the perfect VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit)check out optimal ranges of VPD for growing stages, also your strain should have the optimal VPD. I don't have an infrared temp to check the LVPD (Leaf Vapor Pressure Deficit) that's a whole other ball game. Im not going to get too boged down at the moment with VPD&kpa. As I said that's in a whole other league. Im going to run a basic VPD environment though. In heavy flower my temp will defo be in the 26-28 range as I'll have the 20L dehuimifier in my 5x5x7. 22/5/22 Solid growth coming from these 2 ladies. 15+ cm growth in a week is great. Hopefully I'll get another 4-7 days of growth before they start flowering.

Two girls one cup week 2.. thanks for stopping by and checking out my experiment :) no need to rotate them.. they're doing it all on their own 🤣. hit the girls a little hard with the light last week when i turned it up to warm things up in there. kinda blasted em with 22 DLI and the light may have caused the curling on the Godzilla Cookies. all is well, and theyre moving right along. light currently 18in up, and hitting them with 14 DLI. running the 1/2 strength GHE light feed week 2 since last sundays RES change. will prob keep this RES until this sunday. just top off and PH adjust 8am/8pm daily. kinda excited to see the explosion of growth throughout this week. 3rd true set popping out of both GC and WG, and started LST them their separate ways as early as possible. contemplating topping after 5th or 6th node. havent made up my mind as to when yet. we shall see. roots poking their way through the drainage holes in the bottom of the upper growing chamber. Will have to add a stone to the RES here in a few days time. GHE light feed 1/2 strength week 2 (measurements are per 2gal on 500 scale): Total nitrogen - 47.5 ppm PPM range - 200-275 ppm Spring Water/Tap mix - 220 ppm (calmag and hydroguard already added) Micro 3.6mL - 144 ppm Grow 3.4mL - 77 ppm Bloom 2.6mL - 41 ppm Total = 482 ppm GHE is pretty damn accurate on that ppm range huh? *so far they seem to be loving life.. sooner or later this light won't be able to keep up with their needs.
