Let’s dive into the details! Environmental Updates: A Chill in the Air 🌬️ This week, temperatures in the grow room dipped to around 21-22°C, with relative humidity (RH) holding steady at 65%. While not drastic, this slight chill is enough to slow down growth a bit as the plants adapt. Cooler temps can encourage tighter node spacing, but they can also delay development slightly. Here’s how we’re addressing it: Proactive Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on temperature and RH trends to ensure they remain within optimal ranges. Gradual Adjustments: Slowly warming the environment with indirect heat sources if necessary, without shocking the plants. Remember, plants are incredibly resilient—and this slight delay will only make the Croco girls’ eventual growth even more rewarding. Feeding Updates: All in One Pellets & Organic Boost 🌾 This week marked a significant milestone: I introduced Aptus Holland’s All in One Pellets to the soil mix. Here’s how it went down: Preparation: Added a generous dose of the pellets to each pot. Soil Enrichment: Topped the pots with Pro Mix soil, bringing the total soil volume to 1 liter per plant. Feeding Transition: While I did one last watering with All in One Liquid, I’ll now rely primarily on: Regulator (0.15ml/L): To support stress resistance and strengthen cell walls. CalMag Boost (0.25ml/L): For calcium and magnesium supplementation, essential for strong stems and vibrant growth. Start Booster (0.25ml/L): To continue promoting robust root development. The combination of organic pellets and the Aptus liquid lineup ensures the girls have everything they need for a slow, steady nutrient release while maintaining microbial activity in the soil. Watering Technique: Bottom-Up Hydration 💧 This week, I switched to bottom-watering, a game-changer in preventing fungus gnats and promoting healthier root development. How It Works: Water is added to the tray, allowing the soil to wick moisture upwards through capillary action. Advantages: Reduces surface moisture, deterring gnats from laying eggs. Encourages roots to grow deeper as they seek water, resulting in a stronger root system. To further combat gnats, I’ve also placed yellow sticky traps around the pots. This dual strategy—bottom-watering and sticky traps—is already showing promising results. Mutant Marvels: The Funky Leaf Phenomenon 🍃 Each Croco girl is a masterpiece of mutation, with unique leaf shapes and growth patterns. No two plants are alike, and that individuality is part of what makes this grow so exciting. I’m patiently waiting for them to grow large enough to identify their sex. Here’s the plan moving forward: Option 1: Flip to 12/12 Temporarily: A one-week light flip to identify sex, then returning to veg. Pros: Fast and straightforward. Cons: Slight delay in veg growth. Option 2: Clone & Flip: Take cuttings from each plant, root them, and flip the clones to flower. Pros: Preserves the main plants in veg. Cons: Requires additional space and time for cloning. I’ll decide based on how the girls progress over the next week or two. Either way, I’m excited to unlock their potential. Photography: Capturing the Magic 📸 This week, I focused on showcasing the Croco girls’ beauty through a mix of macro photography and behind-the-scenes shots. Using both my Sony and Nikon cameras, I’ve been able to capture intricate details—from water droplet reflections to the delicate veining in their leaves. Why Use a DSLR/Mirrorless Camera? Greater sensor size allows for higher-quality images compared to even the latest smartphones. The ability to swap lenses provides flexibility for macro shots, wide angles, and close-ups. Depth of field and manual focus control ensure every shot is intentional and artistic. Lens Choices: Macro lenses (e.g., 90mm) for close-ups of leaf textures and water droplets. Standard lenses (e.g., 50mm) for portrait-style plant shots. While phone cameras like the latest iPhone can take great photos, they can’t quite match the level of detail, depth, and creative control a dedicated camera offers. 🇺🇸Week 3🇺🇸 – Growth Explosion & First Training Back again for this week’s update! The Mother Gorilla is going crazy—she’s growing at an insane pace, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The plant is super strong, and the leaves are just massive. Some are reaching up to 21 cm long, which is wild. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. And honestly, I have to say—I’m seriously impressed by Formulex from Growth Technology. I’ve been using the same nutrient solution since the start, and the results are just insane. It’s such a simple product, but what it’s delivering so far is absolutely incredible. I’ll be switching to growth fertilizers soon (they’re on the way), but for now, I’m sticking with Formulex, and it’s honestly blowing my mind. Environmental Conditions Not much has changed on that front. The environment is still dialed in: • Temperature: ~22-23°C during the day, 18°C at night. • Nutrient solution temp: Holding steady at 17-18°C. • pH levels: Hovering around 5.8-6.0—had to adjust it slightly during the week, but nothing major. It’s stable overall. • VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit): Still around 0.6, which seems to be working well. As long as it stays below 0.8, I think we’re in the sweet spot. • Humidity: Holding at 70%. Everything’s been pretty stable, and it looks like the plant is loving it. Major Work This Week – Defoliation & Topping This week was huge in terms of plant training. The foliage was getting super dense, so I went in for a heavy defoliation, removing all the big fan leaves. On top of that, I topped the plant—cut the main shoot to redirect energy towards the secondary branches. The goal is to push those side branches so they can take full advantage of the SCROG I just set up! Now, it’s all about recovery. Hopefully, she bounces back strong, and we can really start working that SCROG. Alright, that’s it for this week! Let’s keep an eye on things and see how she responds. La Mother Gorilla part en vrille, elle pousse à une vitesse folle et franchement, je suis super content. La plante est ultra vigoureuse, et les feuilles sont juste énormes. Certaines atteignent 21 cm de longueur, c’est complètement dingue. Je crois que je n’ai jamais vu ça avant. Et franchement, je dois le dire—je suis vraiment impressionné par le Formulex de chez Growth Technology. J’utilise exactement la même solution nutritive depuis le début, et les résultats sont juste dingues. C’est un produit hyper simple, mais ce que ça donne pour l’instant, c’est vraiment incroyable. Je vais bientôt passer sur les engrais de croissance (ils sont en commande), mais en attendant, je continue avec Formulex, et ça me bluffe complètement. Conditions Environnementales Pas de gros changements de ce côté-là, tout est toujours bien calé : • Température : ~22-23°C en journée, 18°C la nuit. • Température de la solution nutritive : Toujours 17-18°C. • pH : Entre 5.8 et 6.0—j’ai dû l’ajuster un peu dans la semaine, mais rien de bien méchant. J’ai aussi topé la plante—j’ai coupé l’apex principal pour rediriger l’énergie vers les branches secondaires. L’idée, c’est de booster les secondaires pour qu’elles profitent à fond du SCROG que je viens d’installer ! Maintenant, elle doit récupérer. J’espère qu’elle va repartir de plus belle et qu’on va vraiment pouvoir bosser ce SCROG. Voilà pour cette semaine ! On garde un œil sur tout ça et on voit comment elle évolue. The grow is going on well,doubled the bloom nuts , plants have a different but nice smell of skunk and wild berries. The tall one is growing crazy in the cell, i want to harvest first the highest one branches, to let the lowest grow round the cell for a higher yield. I had to train a lot the plant, because the autoflower was getting too tall about 120cm, so i tied it up around the cell doing scrog a like.

I just dropped it in water and rootjuice for 2hrs and then direct in peat pellet and after about 50hrs she was saying hello ✋ I'm very exited to start this experience whit exotic seed can't wait to grow this strains 😵

4 week of cultivation, everything is going well so far. we had a little deficiency in call mag but it was already added to the feed. The plant that I saw as weaker at the beginning started its flowering process with 2 apparent stems.

Day 49. Starting to frost up on the upper buds.

Ein herzliches Hallo an alle! Wir beschreiben die Vorblüte bzw. Blüte Woche 1 Sie hat ordentlich an Masse und Höhe zugelegt. Das Blätterdach entwickelt sich schön. Sie wächst sehr gut! Aufgrund des Wetterumschwungs musste ich die Düngemengen wie auch das Gießverhalten erhöhen. Das Düngen alle zwei Tage sagt ihr sehr zu, an den anderen Tagen verwende ich PH-angepasstes Wasser. So this week the little gelatocake is on week 8 and is really starting to eat herself now, full of trichomes and smells like tutti fruity chewie sweets. Last week of nutes for her then mollases only. Week 7 for the othere gelatocake and shes starting to fatten up now as well as fade also. Babys have got big since re potting I will.bend them over later. Sherbert mimosa are still taking there time I think they are starting to get bigger 🤔🤣 I Will keep you updated lol. Happy growing guys 👌💪💚

Day 88. Day 39 from switch. Temp is still higher than I'd like but has cooled by a couple of degrees. Trichome production is increasing and the girls are really starting to smell now. Hoping any day they will really start to pack on the weight! They have a lot of leaves, and could have done with a lot more training, but I'm happy with them so far considering.

These girls grew up really fast. My order of Recharge came in and I introduced that on day 10. I think I did a gram of Recharge mixed into 1L of PH'd water and then that was split between the two plants. On day 12 I decided that because the FCxFS was already starting to lean to one side I would go ahead and just LST it over. I'd never done LST before and ended up using way too much wire and probably did more damage than good. On day 13 I removed the hack job I did and instead used the wire for supporting the main stem. This is what I should have done from the start. Lesson learned.

The Blackberry Moon Rocks are looking promising. One of them is growing into this beautiful little bush, and I think it's almost ready to harvest. The other plant is stacking up buds, but I'm thinking it's still a couple of weeks away. The past few weeks have been so beautiful, watching the plants grow and change. It's amazing how something so small and fragile can turn into something so strong and vibrant. Now that they're getting ready to bloom, it feels a little bittersweet. I'm so excited to see the finished product, but I'll definitely miss having them around while they're growing.

Beginning of week.. I lost count of the days.. Stupid rookie move.. I know lol.. She is doing great tho.. Roots have made it to the bottom of the cup.. I love these plants.. Cant wait to see what Ethos is all about! Even tho I'm not expecting an amaxing yield since I'm doing 12/12 from seed. Mid week.. She is beginning to sprout branches.. They are still pretty tiny but should be spittin out any day now.. Its crazy how every strain can have different leaves.. Differences in the serrated part.. Skinny.. Fat.. Long.. Short.. This girl here is pretty different than others I have grown.. I feel like Ethos is NOT going to let me down!.. End of week.. I see the branches have came out a little more.. Still kinda small still.. Looking a little asymmetrical as well.. Ugh.. But I think I read somewhere that sometimes great genetics do stupid shit like that lol.. Oh well.. The end product is what matters.. Just trying to keep her happy and healthy for now and so far so good.. Some weird discoloration on one of the leaves but thats looking more like a mutation more than anything wrong with her growing.. Can't wait to see what beauty she blossoms into!
