Week 9 Flower Report: The Countdown to Harvest Begins! 🌼✨ As the ninth week of flower unfolds, the room is a symphony of colors and frosty brilliance—a true gardener’s dream! But as we approach the final stretch, it’s a delicate dance of vigilance and care to ensure a clean and bountiful harvest. Here’s a deep dive into this exciting and educational week: The “Flush” in Full Swing The flush continues as we prepare the ladies for their final days. While we’re a week or so away from harvest, the plants are responding beautifully, showcasing stunning fades that highlight their unique genetics. This fading process is a critical part of the journey, helping the plants naturally finish their cycle while preserving those complex terpene profiles we all love. The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Trichomes are piling up like snow, giving the entire garden a magical wintery appearance. I genuinely believe the ThinkGrow LEDs and TrolMaster spectrum control deserve a shoutout here. Running deep red, far red, and UV at 100%, combined with whites at 50%, is delivering incredible results. The ability to fine-tune the spectrum is a game-changer for resin production and terpene enhancement. Environmental Mastery Here’s a peek into the environmental stats keeping the ladies thriving: • Room Temperature: 26°C • Relative Humidity (RH): 53.2% • VPD: 1.57 kPa • CO2: 1067 ppm • PPFD: 690 µmol/m²/s This balance creates the perfect conditions for fattening buds and maximizing quality in the final weeks. Nutrient & Soil Rundown On the nutrient side, the solution measures: • pH: 6.67 • TDS (Reservoir): 65 ppm • Solution Temp: 18.3°C Soil stats show a TDS of 695 ppm, indicating there’s still some nutrient reserve left in the medium—a perfect transition into the flush phase. It’s all about ensuring the plants have enough to finish strong without compromising flavor or smoothness. A Garden of Many Colors The fades across the room are a sight to behold. Each strain is showcasing its unique hues, with the Green Papaya leading the frost parade, and the Punch Pie taking the crown for bud size. Meanwhile, the Gorilla Melon is dazzling with red reflections, and the Papaya Zoap keeps turning heads with its white crystalline canopy. Videos with TM+ Pro This week, I’m also sharing videos straight from the TM+ Pro app. This tool has been a joy to use, offering precise control and insights into my grow environment. It’s simple for beginners and robust for advanced growers, proving once again that the TrolMaster ecosystem is a must-have in any grow room. P.S. Ecosystem Excellence I can’t emphasize enough how incredible the TrolMaster ecosystem is for growers of all levels. From intuitive configuration to seamless integration, it’s a system that simplifies growing while delivering professional results. Whether you’re just starting out or refining your craft, TrolMaster has your back. Thank Yous & Shoutouts As always, my heartfelt thanks to my sponsors: TrolMaster, ThinkGrow LEDs, Aptus Holland, Pro Mix Soil, Cannakan, and the amazing seed banks for their genetics. Huge love to the community—followers, haters, and everyone in between. And, of course, a special nod to Grow Diaries for being a platform where we can all share and learn together. Not too much to report this week. Smell is picking up a bit and trichromes are developing nicely. Plenty of growth all around. No problems—everything looks happy.

Week 7 update 🌱 – the journey continues! Last week, the first signs of nitrogen deficiency started to show. I tried to compensate, but I might have slightly overdone it with the chemical nutrients. To correct things, I flushed the roots the day before yesterday, but it seems to have caused even more stress 😅. This is my first time working with hydro, so it’s all a learning process. I’m hoping everything will bounce back, and to avoid further stress, I’ll now only use potassium hydroxide to balance the pH 💧🌿. Fingers crossed that this brings the system back on track! At the end of the day, it’s all about experimenting and improving. I’m staying positive and keeping an eye on the ladies – they’re tough, and I’m sure they’ll pull through 💪🍃. Follow along for updates, and let’s see how this journey ends! Thanks for the support and good vibes 🌺✨.

Day 1- watered Day 2- 😴 Day 3- 😴 Day 4- I need to feed tent 1 tomorrow. Gonna up the nutes from last week since they dont seem to be getting caught up. Can see 1st signs of flowering so I'm gonna experiment a bit with additives and see if I can see a noticeable winner or possibly no difference at all. Day 5- Fed tent#1 14ml advanced trio, 1ml floralicous +, .6ml mammoth p. 1/8tsp flower fuel per/gal. Tent#2 got 2.5ml armor si, 5ml tiger bloom, .6ml mammoth p/gal. Pulled each plant out and cleaned up the bottoms and middles, washed trays and gave a very light dusting diatomaceous earth on underside of leaves. Hoping that will keep any spider mites that think fucking with me again this year will be fun, dead as shit and disappointed. Got a bunch of cuts for clones now too. That's gonna be tomorrow me's problem though lol. Day 6- 🚫 Day 7- well I'll be a son of a bitch...guess what I found? Spider mites. Got to try out my new eradication method I thought up months ago using diatomaceous earth and an air compressor. (Almost a week later and I cant find a mite anywhere 😁) STEP 1- Turn off your carbon filter so u dont plug it up then dust the hell out of everything with diatomaceous earth. I wanted it to look like a thick fog and let the fans blow it all around. I'd go fog it back up every 10-15 minutes for an hr or so. STEP 2- Starting with the worst, pull each plant out of the tent and blow off with 60psi (4bar) compressed air(see video) STEP 3- Inspect the plant and blow off any mites u find with the air gun. I used a LED flashlight to make it easy to see them. STEP 4- After the plant appears mite free give another dusting of diatomaceous earth.(see video) STEP 5- clean tent. Vacuum up all the DE and blow dust out of lights. STEP 6- Put plants back in the tent and start your carbon filter if u have 1. In theory this should take care of current mites and any eggs that hatch. Check daily and repeat steps 2-4 as necessary.

Solid week of growth and development. Temperature, humidity were solid and dialed all week. Both plants were defoliated and trained towards the beginning of the week. They bounced back quickly and started to pack on weight which led me to look into trellis. I don’t like that you can’t move the plants once the trellis is set and that it’s stupid pieces of plastic. We’ll see how many times I can re-use the trellis before it’s trashed 🙄. That said, I can already see the benefits. It really helped me even out the canopy and lower a few stubborn colas as well as open the lower levels to more light. Nice. I’ll be investing in some biodegradable trellis in the future if I like the results. I started using Fish Shit! between feedings to condition the soil. So far, so good. As for the clones, I used hardware store rooting hormone instead of a high quality gel or powder rooting hormone. You get what you pay for . . . I also think I’ve kept my growing medium too moist. I’ve had one clone root and transferred. I’ve been trying to dry the medium out a touch. Hopefully I get at least two more rooted within the next few days. This upcoming week I’ll continue the nutrient regiment and begin the pk boost for weeks 4, 5, and 6.

I have finally realised that this experiment is horribly going side ways at the moment, however I wonder if it is due to the Winter season, growing outside or in my makeshift greenhouse, (when I say makeshift I mean, recycled plastic sheets, pallets, etc, I think all that aside, my forth cycle is going to memorable… currently I lack grow lights and fans, luckily I made my greenhouse self ventilate, though I am waiting for August(AwwDust) the windiest time in South Africa, if it remains standing and still self ventilating, I would consider it a victor.) growth would be slower than the warm seasons. To make conditions even harder, I do not have grow lights currently however an obstacle that I’ll correct, going for solar lights and solar fans, electricity tariffs are booming, luckily I use rain water stored in a 1000lt tank, no one is complaining water consumption, I feel like people don’t stress the cost of growing, if you don’t pay the bills and you want to become a grower, look for cheaper methods of growing, like for now… I am going to use the sun as my main light source, will get fans to induce positive stress.

Are the hairs on the top of the buds a result of the bananas i pulled out? I'm not sure what stage i'm at, should I start flushing now or should I wait one more week? If Super Lemon Haze takes 11 weeks to flower properly should I wait the extra week?

Hey everyone, Just chillin and letting them grow. Gave them some microbe life and watering them when dry. Not much else going on, keeping things smooth as possible for flowering.
