🌸 Week 4 Flower Report: Growth, Challenges & Big Changes! 🌸 Hey, Grow Diaries Fam! ✨ We’re here at Week 4 of Flower, and what a week it’s been—packed with challenges, adjustments, and exciting progress! Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! Thanks once again to RQS for sending me this girl. She's not the most fruity smoke, but more of a pine with a unique tropical/banana peel to it. A nice strain for the cannasseur, and one I'm really enjoying, especially for my back. Thank you to everyone who follows, likes, comments and supports in any way. Because I have 4 seperate plants/strains in one tent, under one light, I've had to calculate these by dividing the conditions by 4 (4 plants in total sharing same conditions). This is the fairest and only way to work it out on average as a full tent. Happy growing! 🐺

Starting out the fourth week of flower well. All plants are forming resin on their sugar leaves and starting to smell fruity. Upped nutrient dosage to 1400 ppm truncheon. Still watering 2l daily. Might need another round of defoliation before the end of flower, they recovered very well from the last time.. Almost too well..

Thick root system. Currently she is competeing for grow space against the larger Bermuda Gold

One pheno already reeks of overripe banana and the other two bushes are slowly coming along with the same type of sweetness/muskiness!

Trichomes are developing well, still mostly clear at the moment. The plant has finished stretching and is now focusing on bulking. I slightly increased her feed and hope she’ll put on more weight soon.

Attached is a timelapse of this past week! GSC in the foreground. This week has seen some of the most dramatic changes. She's in flower! Its a beautiful sight to see the bud sites develop so quickly. When I realized this plant is in flower, I've focused more of the grow light on her, sacrificing some of the blueberry's light. This is because the light absorbed during flower will be directly put towards the buds. Another change is I've lowered the light to about 12 inches, providing stronger light during flower. I've noticed that to maintain an even canopy, I have to tie down this plant every day. My priority is to maintain and even canopy, allowing each bud site to receive ample light. I am constantly focusing attention towards the main stem of the plant because I don't want the plant to favor it over the other bud sites. After tying down the plant, I take the time to adjust near by leaves to cover any significant gaps I've created in the canopy. I do this to ensure light is not wasted. At the end of the week, my pH dropped considerably to around 5. Early signs of calcium deficiency are showing. Should be under control after nute change. My nutrients this week were balanced for the transition between veg and flower. In the coming weeks I will provide more flowering nutrients.

Hello. This is the end of week 10 of flowering... and it's harvest time. Just shot some quick video's to show what they look like after flushing. Should take around 4 or 5 days to harvest all 13 plants. With the weighing of the raw branches before wet trimming them and writing down the weight, And the taking of the photo's, making them look good, it takes a little longer to harvest doing a diary. Things went as normal this week. I didn't water or feed the girls since i have been sick lately, all I did was push them back under their net. Sometimes their stems pop/snap but i don't worry anymore, the next day they recover nicely. (its more like an internal pop i hear) The weather isn't as sunny as I would like yet, but i can't do much about that. With all the foliage bug hunting has been reel tough, although I found a baby cutworm witch i quickly eliminated. slow and steady the girls keep climbing I just manage the light space 4 them. I only go in on the weekends 4 their training and that seems to be good enough. The girls in the back are just exploding, compared to the others. I dont know if maybe some good soil back there or just some magic beans. Maybe because they are closest to their nightlight?

Hey Cannafam Happy Monday, My Apricot gal has had another good week overall, mainly to a continuation of consistant lovely weather 😊 Although not as hot as last week its been Sunny everyday apart from a little rain Friday morning, its been really consistant with daytime temps of 21c -23c Tuesday - Sunday and today its crept up to 25c, nights have been an average of 14c. Humidity has remained high in the range of 70-90% and Daylight hours are currently at 16 hrs 14 minutes. Growth wise shes loving life, i was happy with her shape in last weeks update, but her main cola had stretched quite a bit further upwards this week and needed further pinning down, and all branches have also had good growth and been trained out further to the sides of the pot. Fyi the the height logged is the length of her main stem as if vertical. Flowers are slowly kickin in with new pistils and her smell is now also starting to develop, and when close shes giving off a slightly sweet aroma but very delicate at this stage. I've also done a bit further defoliation on the bottom of the plant so as she goes further into flower any breeze can blow freely underneath through helping keep humidity down between colas. Feed wise shes only had 1 helping this week but will be getting another at the end of today, i've not changed quantity as she looks really happy with no sign of deficiency or excess. On the pest front the ale i used last week is too dark to see through, but there are some foamy looking lumps in there, so something has definitely gone in! When it evaporates a bit further(or they drink it) il have a slug count with pics clean and refill. I dont really like pouring away ale or any alcohol, but i spose its worth it! 😅 All in all shes coming along nicely, thanks for stopping by and hope you have a nice chilled week ✌️💚

Weekly Update: Highs, Lows, and Care Bears Sep 28: Not much work needed on the solution today except for dialling back the pH from 6.1 down to 5.5. I also cranked the Lumatek up to 50% power. To avoid scorching the tops, I adjusted the light height accordingly, bringing the intensity right up to 500 µmol/m²/s PPFD. Sep 29: I flew a little too close to the sun today. Working with only one functional hand makes delicate training tricky at the best of times. While low-stress training (LST) the branches for the mainlining setup, I got a bit too heavy-handed with the tie-downs without realizing it right away. Sep 30: Well, disaster struck. I opened the tent to find one of the main shoots completely wilted and dangling. In my rush to fix and support it, my clumsy attempt ended up snapping the opposing shoot on the main stem as well! You can see in the photos just how brutal those deep stem tears look right at the node. I managed to secure and tape both shoots back together, but this severe structural damage has set their development back significantly. Time will tell how much recovery is possible over the coming week. Oct 01: Topped up the reservoirs today with roughly 1.5 liters of fresh nutrient solution per bucket. Parameters are sitting rock solid at EC 1.5 mS/cm and pH 5.5. Oct 02: Curiosity got the better of me. I wanted to check on how the damaged shoots were healing and ended up making things worse while trying to "fix" them again. The left side branch seems to be toughing it out, but the right side branch is noticeably stunted now. Other than that, just a tiny pH tweak. Oct 03: Did a light defoliation today, just like the previous two days. Nothing major, just selectively clearing a few fan leaves to expose light to the shaded inner shoots. I’m considering cutting my losses, chopping off the severely stunted branch, and running Plant #1 as a 3-main setup instead. I’ve decided to sleep on it until next week. If it doesn't bounce back, I’ll rotate Plant #1 and push it closer to the tent wall to give Plant #2 the stage because Plant #2 is absolute madness right now, growing exponentially day by day. Oct 04: Continued training and shaping the mains today. On Plant #2, I was already able to top the first two side shoots to establish the target 8 main colas for the mainline. Things remain intense, especially watching how Plant #1 copes with its trauma. I’ve officially placed two Care Bears in the net pot pumice because Plant #1 genuinely needs all the care it can get right now (and I seriously need to stop over-fiddling with it!).

Notes :Les paramètres ont été optimisés cette semaine avec une augmentation de la lumière (PPFD) et un réglage précis du VPD. Aucune intervention stressante, les plantes répondent bien aux conditions. On garde toujours les même rythme de marré pendant le stretch pour stimuler une croissance végétatif, semaine prochaine je vais commencer a réduire progressivement la durée des marée et augmenter progressivement le temps entre 2 marée pour commencer a stimuler une croissance générative pour la floraison Objectif pour la semaine prochaine :Maintenir les mêmes paramètres : PPFD à 800( on commencera une augmentation progressive a 900) , VPD autour de 1,0-1,1 kPa, température et humidité stables, sans stress supplémentaire.
