Week 7: Preparing for Flowering At the beginning of the week, we installed the net, marking the final stretch before flipping to flower. The plant is growing beautifully, and I’m genuinely impressed by its vitality. All the training seems to have had no negative impact—she’s handling everything like a champ! 💪🌿 By the end of the week, it’s finally time to switch to flower—wish me luck! 🍀 Challenges this week: Temperature: ~26°C Humidity: ~35% VPD: A whopping 2.4! Not exactly ideal, but thanks to the large fabric pot, she had enough water to keep going strong while I was on vacation. 🌱💦 We’re still seeing light-colored tips, and she’s putting on a final growth spurt before I flip the switch! 🌸🚀

Well today I am exactly 2 weeks from germination I know they seem abit small compared to other people's. But up to now all good. repoted to solo cups will probably stay in them for 2 more weeks then repot again.

Today we turned the Scorpion up to full power and raised it to 38 1/2 inches above pots and getting a reading of 520 - 530 par ! gonna let the babies grow into the light now over the next few weeks till they hit into flower an keep a steady eye on it Incase I got to raise the light higher or lower !! Air temp an humidity has been great , stayin from 70-75 degrees through the day an humidity is staying around 58% ! So far so good Let’s grow lil Babies let’s grow!!! Parece que ha terminado de estirar. Practico una defoliación intensa para airear los futuros cogollos y dejar mas espacio en el cuarto de cultivo. Agrupo de nuevo las macetas en su lugar optimo para asi rellenar por completo la carpa @marshydro. Me quedé algo corto de nutrientes pero estoy muy contento con los resultados, cada vez le voy encontrando mas su punto optimo. Siempre es mejor quedarse corto que pasarse.

Another good run and another home run on this strain. Just everything about it is amazing. The smell, the look, the taste the high, all amazing. The scrog came out nicely and produced a fair amount of bud. One thing I would like to mention is I only flushed for one day. The dry time in the tent was 15 days as it was quite humid here but a nice slow dry is alright with me!!! This harvest report is after 2 weeks of daily burping. So about a month, maybe little more from harvest. I can say I definately agree with the old timers that the flsuh is not important its the dry and cure. She is super smooth and tastes great already with little cure. The ash is also nice and white!! skip the flush but slow down drying is my thoughts for the future. after 2 weeks of burping in the big jar I move them to 20ish gram jars for the remainder of their curing time. As far as weight goes, I was a little off on my guess, I think I guessed 122 but 92 isnt all that bad. The tent harvest was mid 500's but a couple of the other strains from a different breeder really slacked on the weight so overall I'm happy. More and most imortant is all the flower in the tent is top notch thats for sure. Thanks for following peeps, on to the next run!!!! PS. Barneys genetics is damn amazing! 😈

Hey guy and gals, So, I was going to prune the girls tomorrow, but a mate dropped a half over, got stoned and decide, Bugger It!, so we hooked in today. I did take some after shots. Should have done 'before and after, but, I was STONED !' The girls look happier, more sprightly, less 'HEAVY'. Saved the biggest and best fan leaf for a mate. He is amazed at the leaf size. Then earlier today, when he dropped in ;-) , he had a look and near dropped. Big Bud has so many nodes, he was shocked. The FIMing/Topping, whichever I did has done amazing things. On a side note, I haven't grown heaps before, so this grow is amazing me. Previous grows got small buds, small amount, only just covering the cost of my setup (Hydro at the time and tent). I now have a BIGGER tent, am using SOIL and they are thriving. Personally, I think the water is the major factor, but also my 'dedication'. I check the girls 2-3, maybe 5 times a day (viewing port). Regular PH, moisture and such checks. I even put a sticky fly strip in there, as a bloody fly got in. This grow, besides the constant checking, I have Fim'd/Top'd, I have pruned them to promote growth. Basically, I have learned heaps, both from here and videos. I have re-read pretty much everything I read previously, tweaked a little and it seems to be working. Northern Lights is still a week or a bit more away from a prune, I think, then we will give them a couple more weeks and turn them to flower. I am aiming for a Late May/Mid June harvest, then a month in jars to cure. All going well, I will have a heap of and great choice, for my birthday in July :-D So, feel free to let me know how they look. Shoot through any advice. Jack's one of the tallest plants out of all of them right now. I topped and defoliated every plant. I'm trying to form them into canna-bushes. Hopefully I'm doing the correct training procedures to make them all grow that way both indoors and out.

Day 50 Flowering: Hi growmies. A great week again with these gems. They are all now in their final stage of flowering and I expect them to swell a little more and also to begin the ripening of the trichromes to all cloudy with a few amber ones. They are all doing really well and look to be fed as they need and also no signs of any deficiency. I do kot flush as I am in Living organic soil/coco and also do not use salt based nutes throughout the grow to need to wash from the medium. I also do not believe that flushing has any benefit besides error correction or to reset the medium again. With a slow dry , they use all the harsh chlorophyll that is mistaken for nutrient traces often in quicker drying methods. Herz Og by her standard growing cycle , should be finishing now but I think she can be easily pushed another week or so. Her smell is really sweet now up close with a nice tacky feel to her too. She isnt a big plant but is really well laid out for those pollen transporters to sand the wind to get through . Strawberry Colais am absolute trichrome monster. She is really packing the trichs onto her budstacks and sugar leaves tonwjere they don't look real close up. The camera focuses and tries again to refocus when I take pics of her .lol Certainly knew of the heaviest trichrome producers I have grown to date... I can see hownthe cola name is relevant too with how "fizzy" they appear . She smells candy sweet and very nice . Monster Mash looks alone and like the lanky girl at school who tries to look smaller. lol Her buds are fairly spaced out on the long stems and look more clumpy than joined up. I had to bend the main one over to allow the lights to be kept even for the other plants but she is getting more light to the lower portion now. Her buds are not very fat or chunky yet but i am hoping this week and the shogun Dragon force will help change that. Smell wise shebjas a fuel/sweet aroma to her which is familiar. lets see how she finishes now. So it seems that this last few weeks will sort the wheat from the chaff with a yield report soon. These strains have been very simple and easy to grow and manage with very little effort on my part. If your up for a grow with an auto , definitely consider these genetics from Exotic seeds , my experience so far has been all positive and their end results are top shelf buds and taste.
