Week 8: Flower - Tale of Two Phenotypes & Lessons Learned 🌿💜 Currently bumping: Payroll Giovanni - 580 Benz 🎵💰 The Phenotype Reality Check: Same strain, same environment, same nutrients—COMPLETELY different expressions. This is one of the most fascinating (and sometimes frustrating) parts of growing cannabis. Let's break down what's happening in the tent. Lemon Cherry (Left) - The Speed Runner 🏃‍♀️ She's moving FAST! While her purple sister takes her time, this phenotype is racing toward the finish line. Current Status: Bulking nicely with solid density Getting frosty - trichome production is strong Trichomes almost mature - surprisingly ahead of schedule! Harvest window: ~2 weeks out The Lollipopping Regret: Real talk—I lollipopped her early in flower, and now I'm second-guessing that decision. Looking at her sister with almost double the bud sites, it's clear I may have been too aggressive with the lower growth removal. Lesson Learned: Lollipopping can improve airflow and focus energy on top colas BUT removing too much means losing potential yield With autoflowers especially, sometimes it's better to let them do their thing Every bud site is potential weight—be conservative with removal The Silver Lining: The buds she DOES have are dense and frosty. Quality over quantity? We'll see at harvest! Lemon Cherry (Right) - The Purple Princess Takes Her Time 💜👑 She's SUPER purple and absolutely stunning, but she's on her own schedule—no rush, just vibes. Current Status: Progressing at a great rate (just not as fast as her sister) Color expression is PEAK - the purple is deep and vibrant Way more bud sites than Left (thanks to minimal pruning) Harvest window: Likely 3-4 weeks out The Phenotype Difference: This is a textbook example of phenotype variation: Left pheno: Fast-finishing, green, fewer but denser colas Right pheno: Slower maturation, purple expression, more bud sites Same genetics, different expressions. It's like siblings—same parents, totally different personalities. Bag Appeal Winner: The purple coloration combined with frost and more bud sites means this girl is going to be STUNNING in the final product. Worth the wait! Apple Fritter - The Dark Green Giant 🍏 She's doing well overall, though showing some signs of nitrogen excess from the organic feeding program. Current Status: Lower leaves super dark green - classic sign of excess nitrogen Not affecting bud development (thankfully!) Progressing well through flower Harvest window: ~2 weeks out (same timeline as Lemon Cherry Left) The Nitrogen Situation: Dark green, almost waxy-looking lower leaves indicate she got a bit heavy on the N during feedings. Why it's (mostly) okay: It's NOT causing nutrient lockout or deficiencies Buds are still developing normally Just a cosmetic issue at this point Common with organic amendments that release nitrogen over time What I'd do differently: Lighter on the Gaia All Purpose early flower, heavier on the bloom-specific amendments. Live and learn! Key Observations & Growing Wisdom Phenotype variation is REAL and unpredictable: Even from the same seed pack, you can get wildly different plants. This is why breeders hunt through hundreds of seeds to find "the one." Both Lemon Cherry phenotypes are good—just different. Lollipopping: Less can be more (sometimes): Seeing the bud site difference between the two Lemon Cherries is a powerful reminder that aggressive pruning isn't always the answer, especially with autoflowers. They have a limited vegetative phase—every growth site matters. Nitrogen in flower: Easy to overdo with organics: Organic amendments like Gaia All Purpose can release nitrogen longer than expected. During flower, less is more. Focus on P and K, dial back the N. Different finish times = staggered harvests: Having plants ready 2-4 weeks apart actually works out well: Manageable trimming workload (not all at once) Continuous supply of fresh flower More time to dial in drying/curing process Speed ≠ Quality: Lemon Cherry Left finishing faster doesn't make her better. Lemon Cherry Right taking her time might result in bigger yield and better bag appeal. Patience pays. The Growing Lesson Summary Phenotype hunting is real - expect variation even within the same strain Conservative pruning - especially with autos, let them keep bud sites Watch nitrogen in flower - dark green leaves mean dial it back Each plant teaches you something - these "mistakes" are actually valuable data Next Week's Plan Lemon Cherry Left & Apple Fritter (2 weeks out): Start monitoring trichomes closely Begin thinking about flush timing (if flushing) Watch for final swell and fade Prep trimming/drying station Lemon Cherry Right (3-4 weeks out): Continue current feeding program Let her take her time—she'll finish when she's ready Enjoy watching that purple get deeper More time = more weight and resin Post-Harvest Planning: Two harvests coming soon (Left + Apple Fritter) One more to follow (Right) Drying space ready Cure jars prepped Already thinking about the NEXT grow 🌱 Payroll Giovanni voice: "Different phenos, same hustle, purple flowers and that muscle..." 🎵💸 Week 8 wisdom: Every mistake is a lesson. Every difference is data. Every plant is a teacher. Keep the music playing and the garden growing! 📚🌿 Same strain, different personalities. That's the beauty (and chaos) of growing cannabis. Roll with it and learn! 💚✨

2024-07-06 we are in the FInals ( the indoor Plant) and shes very hungry and Thristy. i give her moderate amounts of feedings and around 2l of water every Day, and shes still a bit limegreen. But in the end, we are halfway through the Flowering she showsa super structure, and the Flowers are building shape- i lowered the Humidity to 50 percent. The Outdoor Girls looks nearly like nothing happened. outddor temperatures are cold and it tends to be rainy- so shes very well conservated, and di not get too big, for taking her indoor later. i still have not decided we will see. BREEDER INFO Tangerine Snow F1 Fast Feminised is a 75% sativa, four-way cross of (Boost x Tangelo) with (Lavender x Power Plant). This Fast F1 hybrid is bred from Cali genetics and boasts great citrus terps, high resin production for extracts, high levels of THC, very good yields and excellent mould resistance. Tangerine Snow F1 Fast can be grown indoors as well as outdoors. Indoor flowering times are between 8 - 10 weeks while harvest time in northern latitudes is during September while in the southern hemisphere growers will be harvesting during March. Recommended climate regions are hot, dry, humid and warm. These are tall, semi-branched plants that grow in excess of 200cm and display a high degree of vigour with very good uniformity. In common with many other heavily sativa-dominant strains, Tangerine Snow F1 Fast offers excellent resistance to mould as well as to plant pests and diseases. The combination of citrus terps and plenty of resin makes thi a very good extract strain with the 'washing' method delivering very good yields of hash. The citrus terpene profile is reminiscent of mandarins and tangerines and also has sweet candy notes. THC production has been lab-verified at a strong 24% while CBD is low. The effect is uplifting and energising, perfect for use during the day and early evening.

Aug 3: woohoo week two of flowering. Plant is definitely flowering and looks to be on its way to a strong finish. Very excited for this one and it looks very promising. Group pic is Cheese in front, Gelato, Gorilla Cookies, and Bruce Banner. Last two are 16 cola manifolds, and the front two are 8 colas. Aug 5: video shows use of 730 nm far red light as a bloom booster. A few seconds at dusk is all it takes. I use Civil Twilight as listed on timeanddate.com for my latitude each night. Currently getting 2 minutes earlier each night. The far red light at dusk, at the same point in the light cycle each night, causes the plant to go into dark mode about two hours faster. It’s like getting an extra two hours of darkness in a 26 h day. Works indoors and on autos too. Moves up flowering by about 3-4 weeks here. Don’t miss a night and keep it at the same relative time each night. This is sometimes called phyto-forcing. Easier than moving the plants into the garage each night. Aug 6: foliar spray of potassium silicate and Extreme Blend done in early evening. Plants drink a lot when it is hot and they’re this big and have been watering twice a day lately. Aug 7: did another round of compost tea this morning. Aug 9: defoliated the understory to improve airflow and remove shaded bits. Mostly fan leaves and popcorn bud sites with a few small branches that were growing in towards the centre.

Baked Bomb is doing okay. She is not the strongest plant, but she is showing she is tapped into the stinger nutrition. She should be alright since the coco never dries out. She could easily explode in growth in next week. I seen many of my autos do this. So all is well. Thank you Bomb Seeds. 💣 🤜🏻🤛🏻🌱🌱🌱 Thank you grow diaries community for the 👇likes👇, follows, comments, and subscriptions on my YouTube channel👇. ❄️🌱🍻 Happy Growing 🌱🌱🌱 https://youtube.com/channel/UCAhN7yRzWLpcaRHhMIQ7X4g

What a week for this girl! After seeing both of my Sweet Seed autos take a hit from my lack of watering with runoff, I decided to take preventative matters with this Gelato plant and flushed her clean with 8 gallons of plain pHed water, and then a final gallon of a light feeding mix. Since doing that 4 days ago, definitely have seen some further discolouration, but as far as I can tell, It's stopped spreading to the new growth, so I'm 'hoping' to be in the clear but you really never know. I got the soil pH up from 5.4 to 6.5, and the ppm down from 1100ish to just under 400 (which is typical ppm for a flushed plant). Going to keep a close eye, but damn do I feel like she went through some serious shock. Bud development has pretty much slowed down, so hoping she bounces back and start stacking, but I also don't know if this is from the shock of the flush, or the low temps I've been faced with this week. Anyway, definitely learned my lesson on this run! Organic growing here I come 😁

December 2nd: Week 6 has started, hopefully last week of veg, defoliating, started feeding Sweet Candy, reducing humidity... more to come Tuesday night and it's end of week 6 or day 42, they are doing well, about 16 inches tall and bushy but I feel like another week of veg wouldn't hurt, hoping to get them all around 18 inches tall before I flip Comments and likes appreciated, stay high

29 days since my seed sprouted a little girl🌱 The fourth week of growing my Space Cookies Auto 🌠🍪🚀 Nutrients:Nutrients - transition to flower: Plagron Alga Bloom is an organic flower fertilizer for growing in soil. The fertilizer is algae-based and contains amino acids, proteins and a balanced ratio of phosphorus and potassium 🌺 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Plagron Green Sensation is a flower booster. Green Sensation is a 4-in-1 product, so you don't need to add additional fertilizers. Suitable for all types of substrates and systems 💚💜💚 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bud Candy is a carbohydrate supplement from Advanced Nutrients that maximizes the growth and aroma of flowers. It supports strong root activity by providing food for beneficial microorganisms. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BioBizz Calmag is a 100% organic, but also vegan fertilizer with BIO certification. Biobizz Calmag was designed for professional growers and home growers who need an extra dose of calcium and magnesium. It contains added humic acid 💩☘️- I only apply it once a week.--------------------------------------------- Biobizz Bio pH-/ Biobizz Bio pH+ is a 100% natural and vegan pH regulator. Suitable for all types of substrates and crops. For use in growth and flowering. 💩🍋🌱 ---------------------------------------------------- PRO-MIX CONNECT MYCORRHIZAL POWDER - for substrate Generally: Space Cookies Auto 🌠🍪🚀 is the only one that grows in the PRO-MIX HP Mycorhize+Bacillus substrate, where I also add coconut fiber and perlite ☘️🌱 The girl is already fully blooming 🌺🏵️, it is a plant with many branches, it grows more broadly, like a bush than like a Christmas tree. That is why it is quite demanding to train, the branches are not very strong, so I have to handle it carefully. I have to do LST and defoliation very often - the plant breathes much better then 🍃🍃 I use the new pH and EC meter Aqua Master Tools P110 PRO, the measurement is fast and accurate 👌 So far I have managed to keep the pH and EC as they should be. Although my EC has jumped a little more now, I diluted the watering so that the EC drops. I use Biobizz Bio +/- to correct it. The excellent mycorrhizal powder PRO-MIX Connect to support the roots certainly works very well. All the girls are very strong and stable from an early age 💚🌿🌲 Training: As I mentioned above, this week I had to do LST and defoliation 2 times. The branches are delicate, but there are really a lot of them. I made the first defoliation bigger, the second one more gentle 🍃
