This week went well for the Durban Nights. Not much to report, she hit day 14 today and is working on her 3rd node, I will transplant her in 48 hours, then hopefully top her in about a week or less. I will wait for her to grow at least 7 nodes so I am sure her roots are solid before the topping, but she will absolutely explode after transplanted into coco coir so that shouldnt be a problem. I will also complete the first two sets of toppings at the 3rd node, so that should shave a little time off as well as I previously completed the 2nd and 3rd toppings at the 5th and 3rd node to further spread out the plant. Super excited for this strain as it is a cross of Durban Thai and Jack Herer which are two of my favorite Sative Strains. I hope everyone has a safe weekend. When the tropic is part there is to be afraid. She knows she's fast and she grows rapid, maybe I made her fade a little but now we'll take it right away. Tropicanna is a baby that i redo soon.

So fat banana finally got the chop. Started off well then had an influx of heat around mid flower, not a major problem as I dealt with it, just could have gone smoother. She flew through veg with no problems or complaints whatsoever. She was resilient and would grow her again. She smells so loud, covered in frost.. I have a few more pictures of the chop to upload but will do it in a little while. Such a unique scent from her, definitely tropical and banana peel type of aroma and taste(from test smoke). I got a double scrog setup and I'm gonna let it grow into it. This is my first grow and I'm excited. General Hydroponics nutes (Flora series). Kingbrite QB 288 v3 from alibaba. I'm just gonna let her do her thing until about week 3.

This update is after 70 days of flowering. I switched off the light and left the girls for 2 more days in the dark tent. The remaining fan leaves i cutted already some days before and it looks like that the buds will be easy to trim.

7.07.2025. Day 39. Within the last 2 weeks I lefted her unchecked within the grow tent with 4 other plant. She was over crowded as other plants were bigger. She has now stretched quite significantly competing with the other for light. We'll see how she come along.

Compost tea turned out well and if your curious about the microscopy, check the comments on my GMP grow. No signs of senescence yet so no feed needed, they are in a second run of the same soil so there should be plenty in there from before. Not very resinous or smelly, with weird wide stumpy buds. Definitely my least fav pheno of any plant I've grown so far, but it's the end product we're after so she may yet surprise.
