hey guys so here is f.b.t 5 so far so good all are a little behind number 2 but still coming along alll same .temps outside here are soaring so my Aircon unit is running at full power and have started running my Aircon water through my r/o setup and adding 5ml of calcuim and magnesium supplements to each 3 gallon bucket water i produce . So far so good til next week . 😀

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. I went to vacation and my roommate didnt water them at all… they were near dead when i came home… probably lost like a week of growth.

The plant looks super healthy and strong, I'm gonna start giving this lady a low bushy shape from now on, she was getting really tall and she's in a balcony so can't take the risk.

So far so good just suck the weather getting colder out . Praying it stay warm for just a few more weeks

She’s so close! I am crazy excited for harvest. This is my first grow of anything, I’ve never harvested the fruits of my tedious labor. What an adventure this has been! The trim is what I’m really looking forward to, well all of it really. She’s not near as thirsty anymore I watered her four or five days ago (I work nights I don’t know what day it is lol) and she’s still heavy. So close! Peace friends

Everything looking good still with the Cherry Strudel. Not getting any strong cherry terps yet. I've started supplementing 40ppm of magnesium from MgSo4 to try and see if it helps with the slight fading out, i was suspecting it was from the intensity of the LED, although only 300w i was getting a DLI of around 50 which is way too high. I've raised the LED slightly and applied a light top dress of the Ecothrive Soil Food Bloom. I've added a small clip fan to circulate air around the upper canopy and I've got a 5 inch RVK fan circulating air underneath the canopy.

Have Big Gas Puff on my Behalf! 👽 Declaring on September the First, Im Setting officialy the photopheriod as 20/04 hours resting too, they start in midnight as they will help to provide an ideal temperature at night, and thats the reason why stick with covering most of the day yet respecting some time off the grid, as for both mary jane plant processes like foliar feeding or the transplant depicted below and electronics used requires a bit of resting as lifespam testing and recomendations tend to stick on ‘calm your tits homie’ even on autoflowering scenarios, last consideration is the electricity bill as can become bothersome in some countries too. Moving on plant growth , I personally consider up to this date , a healthy growth even when i changed the substrate it has quite a possitive impact and that’s on having a number of survivors above the mínimum of plants i want to be spread each on 11 lt of ’ Organic Life Light Mix’ for the most oustanding Killer Kush FV, by using the growth vigor & not stressed AF criteria , as it’s always good to do backups in case i had a strong damping-off or like a bad germination scenario. Notice the quirk of ‘Pot on Pot’ made the transplant a bit easier, and how can make some small upgrades if added in your grow , if its on your market and fits your style as well. Regarding to feeding, new transplant soil was watered with Hesi boost, Top candy and BAC Calmag’s 2.0 (I chose this Brand specifically as it present other useful micronutrients on its composition ), as they first ones show to have quite a stimulant and refreshing effect on the babies, considering the size of more than decent root samples took before being moved on their final containers. This experience also introduced me the carencies i must attend usually on these type of soils, who also i do consider that being this deal of too light substrate, is a deal of a trade off too , like, im saying this this Organic Life Light Mix it’s not a bad product at all but consider is way more needy unlike traditional soils or even fuck, this shit is more airy than other light soils compositions hhahah, so, final words here, like at the same time the speed gained plus not a total damping off on germination phase & good interaction with fertilizers i use as plant interaction shows quite a good evolution, specially being keen on carencies and disbalances are faster to present and faster to attend , it requires more handling specially on feeding like all shit that is making this grow go at super fast speed , as i took some pics of root mass and it’s development shows it’s quite advanced yet on the optimal point to transplant. PS: I will stay with the non finalists , the more pansy Killer Kush aren’t totally discarded as the point of having backups to have a better coverage regarding to uncertainity of germination and the fact that still fuck up things and shit my pants in the near future, as usual, im a shitty grower if not noticed ! 😂😂😂. To be clear I flush with plain water for two days and use nutes on the 3rd. At this point the doses are tailored to each plant but the general count is correct. Added the lava lamp for root warmth and the good vibes; thanks Dave and Busters !

Pistols everywhere now, I was getting low key worried lol I've done a bit of trimming here and there in the last week. Pretty much all set for their final run into flowering. I might trim off a few more of the tiny branches on the bottom. They will need to be pinned down a bit here and there. I really need to get on that. Reservoir topping off has started now, they make it roughly five days before I need to add a bit of water.

Settimana fantastica, i fiori si stanno gonfiando ad una velocità incredibile, ci sono tricomi ovunque e i pistilli posso dire che mi sembrano decisamente più lunghi delle altre volte, credo dipenda dall'idroponica. Sto notando che va tutto molto più in fretta, avrei potuto tranquillamente tagliare una settimana di vegetativa e avrei avuto gli stessi apicali ma semplicemente più bassi, la prossima volta le giro in fioritura prima da tenerle più basse, ho rischiato la bruciatura da led sugli apicali più alti. Però sono veramente soddisfatto, gli advanced nutrients mi stanno regalando grandi soddisfazioni, le premesse sono di un raccolto assai abbondante, non vedo l'ora! Manca un mese scarso!

Been topping a lot of the highest nodes, trying to keep it a little shorter before moving to bloom tent. They grow so fast with hydroponics. Basically repeated last weeks nutrients, there was no issues and didn’t do anything but top to keep em shorter, didn’t even top up water for 7 days straight...
