September 2, Day 43. I removed the trellis because it was annoying and I realized the spaces were too large and that's why it felt clumsy... Kabob sticks are doing the trick so far. As I was clipping some leaves to prepare for flowering, I noticed roots growing through the bottom of the pot. I hate transplanting plants so I sat the current pot in another pot that was filled 30% with additional coco coir that had been prebuffered with seedlings strength nutrients to avoid shock. I am confident the roots will continue their journey through the first pot and into the additional space below. Now to observe for a few days, aiming to switch to flowering next week. I have removed at least 30 leaves throughout the last week and she is still looking so bushy and healthy... Thanks Recharge. I clipped a branch and planted it in a prebuffered with seedling strength nutrients rockwool pellet... I baptized her Kaboom Baby.... And. She. Survived!!! Ahhhhh!!! So freaking happy! I am going to start a second grow under this diary called Kaboom Baby, La Reinita Africana. Update, Day 46, September 5, 11am. Fed and watered with all nutrients except Recharge. Love testing out genetics thank you so much , next round incoming ! 🚀 So this grow clearly a very neat grow, kept right on top of things with VPD, always in the optimal ranges even if i had to manually tinker with the mister , the exhaust, the fans, the lights. Speaking of the lights i applied a "pumping technique" meaning moving the lights up a down : down going into flower, then up then down again towards the end of flower to trigger rippening. The smart proteins were used through out the grow meaning the veg went nuts, started smelling loud right out of seedling stage, then at flower stretch i think it does help give it a kick, mid flower though it makes the trichomes rippen quicker than the plant can put on biomass, meaning you get strong , ripe colas that come out a bit thin. Cut and harvested at 30% amber believe it or not, to me that's late but i couldnt believe it when i noticed the plant was ripe at 10 weeks so i let it go on a bit longer. wet trimmed and dried over 10 days, Jarred and cured for 2 months.

Lowered the nutes -- didn't feed every 3 days like I previously did, just watered today. Overall looking good. I'm gonna have to move some of the plants to the tub because the bigger auto is getting so bushy. Let me know what you think in the comments, please!

Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. Hi Growmies, My apologies for the delayed update, but work life balance got a bit out of wack recently. Anyways, water was changed on time and general maintenance took place. Continued with very light defoliation to really guarantee that all the shoots get equal light exposure. She is turning out to be a real beauty and literally no Scr.O.G was necessary due to her natural structure. Buds are already forming very compact and dense to touch, something that’s always a good sign ;) Since this is my first proper DWC grow I am actually quite impressed by the root growth and the resulting nutrient uptake, as well as vigor in plant growth. Is it btw just me or is this website getting slower, buggier and laggier by the day? Videos won’t upload, weeks don’t reflect, diaries won’t update….

2024-08-31 They may have stopped to stretch, iam not sure, but i think so, you can see how the buds are forming, and they are already purple, thats fun leaves are changing color thats the tribute to the last 2 days where it was very hot and sunny, and tehy needed lots drinks and the big growth costed some leaves too. but anyways, not a Problem at all the Girl in the garden has more yellow leaves. BREEDER INFORMATION The cross of Frisian Dew with DucksFoot created Frisian Duck. It has such name due its characteristic leaf shape that looks like a duck's traces. The plant has a good growth in greenhouses and outdoors and also indoors. The strain is easy to grow and suit for begginers. It is harvested at the start of October outdoor and after 8 weeks of flowering indoor. The plant reaches 1.5 m indoor or 2.5 m in height outdoor. It demonstrates purple colors during a blooming and looks like a christmas tree. Frisian Duck develops compact buds. The strain has spicy aromas and tastes of pine, citrus and fresh wood.

Decidi arrumar as plantas utilizando arame rígido para espaçar melhor os Buds e garantir circulação de ar e luz para todas as flores. Produção de resina começou a aumentar essa semana, se tornando visível a olho nu a quantidade de resina nas flores. Percebi que as pontas das folhas estavam queimadas, o que é sinal de nutrientes em excesso. Decidi então utilizar água sem cloro para lavar a terra das plantas. Utilizei 5 litros por planta. Como está chegando ao fim da floração, não pode ter tantos nutrientes na terra.
