Little bit of a delay. Wanted to get climate perfect before the flip. Upgraded ventilation and have the tent dialed in well at 74 degrees and 60% humidity during day and 70deg/ 55% at night. Started a second scrog on Day 42. Nervous about the stretch but hopefully I can maintain it (I wish T5 lights could flower...) Did extensive trimming underneath clearing pretty much anything that will never reach the ceiling of green above it. Day 45 marks last day of Veg Day 46 marks first day of flower AND. HERE. WE. GO.

trimmed and netted the plants last night, 12/30, and the energy pushed the plants to stretch another 1/2 inch+ this will be the last week of vegetation as I prep this light leaking tent for flower, not a fan of mars hydro at all right now. their poles are the weakest I've encountered yet, too many light leaks and this is the first grow with it. My high cfm fan , which is only a 4", is pulling the fabric too much and causing the leaks to grow a bit. This is not new, its been happening with indoor tents for a while now but I thought a grow company such as MH would have a decent, respectable tent. My solution is Blackout Curtains draped over the sides. However, I am hesitant to do this with the MH tent as the poles for the tent are too weak as it is, tsk tsk tsk mars hydro. will continue to increase the watts the next 6 days HAPPY NEW YEAR a combination of light and fresh soil has made the plants stretch so I will finish tightening up the MH tent today and ill start flower tomorrow, day 62. while adjusting the height I must have nudged the dial for the dimmer and sent it to 184w. this would have been a big jump but manageable but I lowered the light 7" and the plants took a bit of a hit. I adjusted the light back down to 160w and I'll let the plants recover before anymore adjustments.

GOING ON VERY WELL...

Don't have a lot of time these days to take pics so I'll sum things up. CO2 got outta control and the plants took tf off literally. The video is around middle of week 3, I had to flip at week 4 BC I literally ran out of room and I had to constantly defoliate.

Day 33-40 (May 24th-May 31st) (Day 34) I just found a herm branch on the tight blueberry pheno. It looks like a random pollen sack opened right above a lower branch. I removed the sack but I saw a small amount of dust fall onto one of the lower branches. I’m going to leave it to see if it will pollinate that small branch at all. I spent a good 5 minutes looking closely for bananas or claws but couldn’t find anymore. The main bud is clearly unaffected so I will just leave it unless it is visibly seeding itself. Too bad because I’m really excited for this plant. (Day 36) Not a lot has happened since I flushed them. Growth actually looks healthy and I don’t see any deficiencies on anything yet. (Day 37) Both of these badazz cheese phenos are picture perfect and easily hold up against Canadian and California quad grade. I might try to reveg them at the end and take some clones. They have this unique pungent, grassy, sour milk smell that is just wonderful. The density and bud structure is looking great too. This whole plant will probably take 3 minutes to trim if that. (Day 38) Just found a banana on the shitty blueberry pheno. This pheno is trash and I would honestly throw it away if it didn’t mess up the 3 perfect rows. It has almost no frost, no smell, is airy and has bad structure. I’ve actually never seen a plant with such little frost. Even outdoors. (Day 39) I think most of this tent will be done by day 60 but I will probably ride it out until day 70+. I don’t think the blueberries or the jacks will fill out very much either way but taking it too day 70 will ensure maximum production from each plant.

As you can see from the third picture on day 29 she is looking a little ugly and unkept. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or something I need to take action on. Advice would be great. So day 30 rolling around. Decided I had to try LST again. She felt more receptive to being bent over today as well. I mainly had to attempt it for space reasons. With the current covid panic all the markets where I buy my buckets from are closed and I can't procure a new one to increase my height for probably a couple of weeks at this rate so LST was my only option. She seems to have taken well to it and I will upload a finished picture of her shortly. Day 32, watered and fed her. 500ml of water plus .3ml each of fox farm trio. Hoping to see her perk up a bit. Concerned about the large brown spot on one of her leaves which made me think she was having a deficiency? Probably a bit early to worry about buds fattening up also but I am worried they are looking a bit airy at the moment on the non main cola sites. I'm not sure if my LST was effective at tricking her into trying to have more than one top cola? Day 33. No noticeable gains today, at least to my eyes. I can spot a little nute burn perhaps but hopefully nothing too serious. Looks like a cola that isn't the original top is starting to fill out just as much, if not more, than the original top though. Hoping they all catch up at a similar pace to each other and reduce the pop corn nug potential! Day 35. She has shown a few more bud sites since last post. I am worried that she is going to produce a fair bit of larf/popcorn bud and wanted to know how to get rid of that? I am not confident to remove any growth without knowing for sure it has a beneficial impact on the overall health of the plant and the final results. Any advise is appreciated. She also seemed a bit thirsty to me. The leaves were feeling a bit thin and dry so I gave her 1L of water with .7ml each of fox farm trio. Hopefully she responds well. I will check her in an hour or so to see if the leaves are starting to point back up - fingers crossed.

A little bit of defoliation in order for the side branches to reach better light. I usually don't go in to a heavy deforestation I just occasionally remove some of the big fan leaves in order to have better light penetration. So far the roots are going great not even a slight sign of bacteria or problems in the root zone. We have nice white roots and so far is all going great. Ill probably move them in a separate buckets in week 4. I'm not sure that I'll even have 4 weeks of vegetation becose some of them are starting to show the gender signs, so probably it will be like 3 weeks veg at maximum. I have heard that Athena usually are thirsty for CaMg so basically you have to add more. Plus I lower the pH to 5.8 and now the game is ON. I'll see in a couple of days but if I'm not satisfied probably I'll raise the EC to 600 with a little bit of higher CaMg for base. In fact im not going to experiment with cold light anymore full spectrum is the deal. So far I'm not touching the EC I'm waiting for the week to pass and to jump on even higher. Somehow and in my opinion Athena needs a little bit more EC Dan the recommend dose in the manual. So far that's the first fertilizer I see that needs more dan the recommendation on the label 🤣🤣🤣 Interesting fact is that now I can clearly see the reproductive organs of the plant. It's female but it's still in week two VEG. It turned out that my clip fan was blowing the humidifier mist toward my flowers. I notisec that only two of the plants have this types of burbs and those are the once right next to the fan. I have changed the fan position and the dehumidifier positions and now I hope all will be fine. I have defoliated a little bit of big fan leaves and I hope in the end of the next week I'll have time to move the RDWC buckets becose I'm a little bit busy does days. I have lower the PPFD becose it seems that this is a bit to much for the flowers.

Bit of nute burn appeared on just one of these phenos overnight. I think this is as this plant flowers longer than my nute charts so did a bit of experimenting. Wil dial it back a bit at this stage next grow to avoid this and have dialled back a bit now, moving forwards. It's not too bad and still seems localised to certain parts of just one plant so not gonna stress about it.

Not an overly impressive strain and I would say she was not that hard to grow. If I even grew this one again I would let it go naturally with some LST. Wanted more grape flavours but they don't really come through in the smoke. There's a bit of a sharp fruity smell that's sort of piney with a hint of fuel at the end. The smoke is not too flavourful in my opinion but that just means I didn't grow it well. Super tight nugs so be careful with humidity as stated above. Also she's a bit of a light feeder so be careful with your nutes. As you can see I burnt her tips and over fed her a lot. Not a bad yield though! I've only really smoked the lowers on this one so far so that gave me a bit of a racey high, just slightly racey. I would accredit that to the lowers not being mature enough at chop. The plant is super dense and since I mainlined it the lowers didn't receive enough light. I tried to let the lowers mature more but the plant stopped maturing when I chopped the tops, this caused stress and the plant just shut down basically. Not sure if I would grow Blimburn's GDP again until I grow the real GDP.

Today its exactly 84 days from seed. This week i start Flush for maximum 7 days And i will cut them down 😀

End of day 27 flower. Did a full defoliation on her today to open her up for a better light penetration. Also did a bud pinching technique about 5 days ago on two main branches so I will see how it compares to the ones that were left alone. Overall the buds are swelling up pretty good and there’s only 20-25 days left before harvest. Thanks for taking the time to check her out. Peace out ✌️

At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation.
