Hey everyone, I meant to post this update yesterday, but I was really busy. Anyway, here she is! She's doing great, although still a bit darker than I'd like, which might just be her genetics. Overall, I'm really happy with how things are going for my first grow. There are definitely some things I could have done to improve this run. The top buds aren't as fat as I hoped, probably because there are so many tops and bud sites under the canopy that aren't getting enough PPFD. This seems to be causing the plant to direct quite a lot of energy to the lower buds, leaving the top colas not getting 100% of the energy they need. But hey, we learn as we go, and this first run has taught me a lot. I'm aiming for at least 4 ounces, but honestly, she doesn't look like she's producing that much weight at the moment. Fingers crossed these buds juice up and double in size within these last two weeks! Thanks for following along and for all the support! 🌱✨

Day 23 of flower

****** Week 8 Vegetation - Sept 5 to 11/20 They were transplanted from solo cups into 1 gal pots on day 15, topped on day 37 and then into 5 gal fabric on day 50 (C472 into 3 gal two days later) C471 transplanted finally into her final home of a 5 gal pot on September 6. Mixed with roughly 20% Perlite and 80% Coco Coir. She has been the more aggressive grower so I gave her the 5 gal pot. Will put the slightly slower grower C472 into the 3 gal fabric pot. Hope this will balance out things with the size of the root mass in an equal amount of time. C472 not tranpsplanted until Sept 8, once I finally got a 3 gal fabric pot.......was sure that 5 gal looked like a 3 gal🤪🤪🤪 Anyway.....she spent and extra two days in the 1 gal pot👍 So they are finally done with transplants. Now its time to stay focussed on filling in the canopy with bud sites. Need to let these girls grow a little more vertically to keep up with the Gorilla Girls, which are growing so hard already💪👍 Suspect this might be an ongoing issue in this run.......the indica in this strain may keep her a fair bit shorter in height. The photo tent has basically been turned into the Sweet Seeds tent for the next couple of months😃😃 Once in flower will be cooling these girls off at night to bring out their potential colour changes in late bloom. They are growing leaves nice and large and plentiful. Node space is staying pretty tight still. Just need those branches to take off vertically so Silica will be introduced soon. Still working out a bit how I need the branches to bend around to fill in the canopy. Once I start increasing the silica as an additive on its own, its tougher to bend around her branches but she will certainly grow stronger. I want to put a SCROG in but I am actually a little concerned about SCROGing two potentially pretty different strains........lots of Sativa in Gorilla Girl and those phenos are pushing out more branch than leaf🙁 A little more detail..... Sept 5/20 - watering in the morning simply to get ready for transplanting in PM: - 500ml - CalMag, B52 @ 1.5ml - 385ppm and 5.7pH - transplanted with Mycorrhizae - watering in the PM after transplanting: - 1.5L - Velokelp, Vitathrive, Microbes @ 2ml - 110ppm and 5.2pH - missed the damn pH again but running with it. Sept 8/20 - 2L - CalMag @ 2ml/L, Vitathrive @ 1.5ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml/L - 775ppm and 5.8pH - C472 transplanted today. Really not looking for these girls to take off just yet so been keeping the feedings light. Noticing some possible issues forming though with light leaf colours and some dark areas in the roots. Time to bump up the feeding ppm and more ml’s to get more runoff water from the coco at feedings. CalMag might be a little light as well but start with more water. Been keeping it a little light and that is likely causing some of these issues. That wraps up this week and feel better about how the tent is looking now. The plan is to fill in for another week and then flip next weekend.......see how the week goes🤞

Week 7 Although the Gelato is the smallest of the bunch it's definitely the fastest flowering. Also I'm trying out a little experiment if the results are positive I might share more about it in the future..

Day36, 37, 38: Seems to be growing a set of leaves per day now. Super growth! Stretching to the top. Day39: I had a hiccup with the camera. For some reason it stopped responding at 04:30 in the morning. I only realized it much later. I still don't really know why, but reseating the data ribbon fixed the issue. Day40: After fixing the camera, I decided to take this view again. The Lady is starting to show some nice growth and this view will show it best. If you look carefully, you'll see that her branches are not green, but rather reddish. Definitely related to genetics :) Everything else is within limits. Plus, the leaves look super healthy. Day41: Here you can see the stem colour better.

Didn’t get too many pictures this time but they’re really starting to pack on resin now. They smell so good. Everything is going smoothly. Just gave them a flush with some SLF and Herculean Harvest. Runoff is already pretty significantly low. They’ll be getting the same flush again in a few days and then plain PH balanced water until they get chopped down. Planning on them fading super hard from this point on. All the buds are super dense. Can’t wait to try some sooner than later.

We back with some buckets! Time to fire up the pumps and get this show on the road. If you haven't seen sugar cane then you need to crawl out from under the rock you're hiding in. Soaked this beautiful little gem of a bean in some water until it cracked then threw it into the bucket with 100% perlite. Started them on a low dose of maxigro on day 3. Doing these diy Dutch Bucket style as always. Going to be running 8 in house genetics strains on the system with constant 24 hour a day irrigation. Not much exciting going on yet, but with a little luck that may change pretty soon.

Día 2: La plantula ha salido y hemos transplantado al armario y a su maceta final. Una maceta de 7L con una mezcla de sustrato de Top CropComplete Mix y Biobizz Light Mix en una proporción de 70/30. Todas las maceta tienen 3mg de Micro Vita para protegerla de las plagas. Hemos regado con 1L de agua con 1ml de Deep Underground de Top Crop (enrraizador) para que empiece a crear el sistema radicular lo mas fuerte posible. La temperatura en el armario es de 30°C con una HR de 60%. El armario tiene incorporado un humificador 🔥 Día 3: Estoy usando una bombilla de sodio de 400W en un armario 1x1x2 con lo cual emite bastante calor y las plantas se secan bastante rapido. Estoy intentando subir la HR al maximo con ayuda de un humidificador y con agua pulverizada para mantener el entorno en un punto optimo pero es una tarea difícil. Hemos vuelto a regar las plantas con agua 💧 pH6 a 30ºC con 200 PPM. Día 4: Sigo trabajando en mantener la temperatura y humedad en unos parametros optimos, por el momento tenemos: •Día 30°C y 50-60% HR •Noche: 26°C y 50-60% HR

🌸 Flowering Week 5 🌸 The transition into mid-flowering is well underway, and the plants are responding beautifully. Bud sites are stacking across the canopy, while resin production continues to increase day by day. Trichomes are now clearly covering the flowers and surrounding sugar leaves, giving the plants a frosty appearance much earlier than expected. White pistils remain dominant, showing that flower development is still actively progressing. The structure remains healthy and vigorous, with excellent color, strong branching, and consistent growth throughout the canopy. Environmental conditions have remained stable, allowing the plants to focus their energy on flower formation and resin production. Aroma intensity is increasing steadily, bringing more complexity and character to the garden each day. The next few weeks will be focused on bud swelling, terpene development, and maximizing flower density as we move closer to the final stages of bloom. Hi growmies, unfortunately I skipped a day checking on the reservoir and the plant must have consumed a lot more water than expected, probably due to the heat we are experiencing where I live, since I realized tip burn getting worse everywhere I checked the ec, which was close to 3 😳, topped up with RO water right away and this seems to have stopped it. Other than that I don’t think it bothered the plant too much either, as she keeps on swelling bigger and bigger. A&B fertilizer was reduced already and once, either next week or the one after I’ll start flushing, depending on the stage of ripening.

Pretty sure suffered some root rot .nice bright white roots thick coming from baskets hopefully 1 more week of veg and can switch to flower cycle

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Day 8 Another day, another cm of vertical growth. The Blumat Digitals showed that the soil moisture was still in an ok range (115-131 mbar) but the topsoil was a bit dry so I sprayed each plant with 1 liter of water (pH 6.3). Day 9 The leaves are getting wider with no additional vertical growth. The right plant is noticeably larger but both look healthy. Day 10 Plants are a bit wider but all in all pretty uneventful. Day 11 Another day of the plants are getting wider but no vertical growth. The cover crop on the other hand has been growing quite a bit so I trimmed it down a bit. Day 12 The Blumat Digitals showed that the soil moisture was in the 114-162 mbar range so I gave each plant around 1.3 liters of water. Dumb as I am I forgot to pH the water though so I guess it was around 8.0 as that is where my water normally is. Oh well, gotta remember it next time. I also removed the humidity domes as the leaves of both plants started to touch the side of the domes. Day 13 The right plant is clearly larger than the left plant, being both 25% taller and 40% wider. Let's see how it progresses from here, maybe one plant is simply slower or maybe it's a different phenotype. Day 14 Not much to report except that the right plant is still growing at a fast rate while the left plant is creeping along. My girlfriend was transplanting our tomato plants today so I put a few in the tent as there was some extra space. I sure hope though I didn't bring in any silly bugs into the tent. Oh well, let's see... We keep the rest of the tomatoes and chilies under a ViparSpectra light in our front room until the weather finally gets good enough to move all the peppers and tomatoes outside.

The plants look a bit damaged and need some care as I was on holiday for a couple of weeks. They were watered every 2-3 days but not looked after any further, yet they have grown quite a bit. The smaller Fractal has already started to flower. They have lost a bit of colour, I hope to be able to fix that. Fractal 1 120 cm Fractal 2 100 cm

Started a little training, cut down the older fan leaves and topped up. I’m adding a tiny bit of root stimulator cause changed the pot size last week so it will to promote a faster growth. Gotta keep this lady low cause the box is quite small. So excited 😆
