The Red Hot Cookies are looking beautiful. Very nice looking buds with fantastic colors. Very promising in terms of bag appeal :) The pheno 1 shares many traits with the GSC. The effect is amazing despite of the quite boring terpene profile which is unidimensional (very sweet base notes along with creamy peach head notes that reminds me of the peach flavored campino hard candys). The high has the soothing and calming effect of the GSC while being more uplifting and energizing. The pheno 2 is more on the Tangie side for both the effects and the terp profile. The high is energetic but a little bit racy. The limonene content seems far higher than the myrcene, and it translates itself in both the taste and the effect. I will be looking for a Tangie-dom pheno that is richer in myrcene, in hope of getting more of the tangerine taste/aroma and the relaxing effect that we can find in the Tangie and Tangerine Dream strains. As for the Amherst Sour D, they all share the same woody and tropical aromas with subtle specific nuances (pepper, fuel, skunk/sulfur, lavender). The effects go from slightly sedating to highly energizing and euphoric. A great afterwork hard hitting sativa that tastes awesome, without being the terp bomb of the year. The Dinamed CBD plus is a very short, bushy and stalky plant. The Pheno 1 smells like straight pine/fir on sweet and fruity base notes. The structure is nice with lots of lateral branching and the buds are looking very good too. I could have got a way better yield be giving her an extra 10 days of veg. The pheno 2 is more one the fruity/fuely/tart side. Definitely not the best pheno. Very slow growth...

D15 - 9.27 - Cruising along, just watering them once a day D16 - 9.28 - I planted carrots and transplanted the rest of the seedlings. They are all in the same space. That one LA Sunset never really started to thrive, but I'll keep it for now. D18 - 9.30 - I topped my first plant for mainlining. I picked the strongest FWW with the most growth tip at the 3rd node and just went for it. She may be a little young, so I left her fan leaves for support. I've decided to do 3 groups of two for this grow, in an attempt to experience how these different strains respond to different techniques - Pair 1 will be mainlined with 8 mains, Pair 2 will be mainlined with 4 mains and Par 3 will not be mainlined but traditionally topped to 4 mains. D19 - 10.1 - Topped the first Black Sugar for mainlining. Her growth tips are really nice looking. D20 - 10.2 - Have them all topped 👌

End of Week 7 CO2 is definitely increasing growth rates but also changes the game with controlling your environment now that it has to be sealed in order to not waste CO2 unnecessarily. You change one thing and it adds many other variables to keep everything in check. I am learning everyday and that's why I grow. The trellis net is doing its job and the canopy is looking nice and even. I also added a soil top-up and top dress of some BioBloom and Mycorhizae so it can start breaking down before I flip to flower next week (Slow release dry organic amendments). And the ladies are using up nutrients in the soil much faster because of the added CO2 (another variable to take into consideration - faster growth = faster nutrient consumption) In detail: -Carefully removed trellis netting -Ammended each plant individually with my soil mixture and nutrients -Placed them back in the tent -Reinstalled trellis netting and trained the ladies to shape Pest Report: Thrips VS Ladybugs... I decided to fight fire with fire - I purchased Swirski-Mites from Koppert (They are beneficial insects that feed on the eggs and larvae of thrips and other unwanted pests). As for the adult thrips - I got very lucky and found about 10 Ladybugs in my garden and decided to introduce them into my grow room as they will feed on adult thrips and any other unwanted pests. I did not spray any insecticide this week and it really seems like the ladies are happy with my new method of bio-warfare and are wilting less and less often

Day 28 flower, things are doing well, humidity and heat are stable, plucking off leafs as I go along now anything blocking bud sites. I'm on week 7 of the biobizz feed schedule full dose, these girls not showing any nute burn or stress so far either I could probably push them more. Day 33 from flip. Heat and humidity are under control. Sitting at 27°c and 40-47% humidity with lights on. And 20°c and 47% humidity lights off. Ph levels on feeds and watering is 6.5, there really loving the biobizz range and the marshydro tsl2000 combo. So today the plants are getting fatter and nice and dense. Its super sticky and stacking on trichomes. These 3 beans came from The same pack, and each one smells diffrent. Closest pheno is a really lemon citrus smell and its strong. Middle pheno is like a sherberty smell and really tickles the 👃. Pheno 3 at the back is like a lemon skunk, really pungent and its got the fattest buds so far too. Day 34 flower, Feeding molasses today in 6.5ph water, I will start the next week tomorrow and will be starting on week 8 of the bio bizz nutes schedule. Thanks for all your support so far. Keep on growing

Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Shoutout and cheers to @blendmedmedman. Hoping to have something back to ya in short order. For full details on this alluring hybrid option check my buddies link at seedfinder - https://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Holy_Surfer/Smiling_Tiger/ Northern Lights - this came from a particularly interesting batch of seeds that have shown a very dependable variegation trait. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Week 9 Started this week flushing with plain water 4 times my pot size then followed directly with a 1ml per litre mix of Cal Mag and 75% recommended nutrient mix pH to correct value in order to treat deficiencies showed last weeks! I assume it was a PH issue... even so, i increased also the distance from my lights! The buds of pot1 seems to have fatten a lot and looking at overall progress of this girl i might harvest the top buds in a few days and leave the rest of plant to mature. Slower development on pot2, this one have huge space betwin internodes and i´m dissapointed with the small size of her buds so far ! The smell are delicious (subjective i know but i love it 😅) and it´s getting very strong 💪!

Week 5 and she’s going hard! Noticing calyxes and branches growing, in not doing any training as I’d like to see it’s natural form! About to start feeding blooming nutes soon! I use the Lotus Nutrients Bloom and Boost nutes for flowering plants. She’s now taking about a liter or more of r.o water! I won’t update until I see more mentionable growth. See ya!

The plant more than doubled its size this week. I thought that might be the case but was not sure how multiple 100f degree days would affect her, but she did just fine, and even seemed to thrive. I watered the night before hot weather started with my compost tea. Two mornings later got watered deep with cal-mag water in the morning, and has been doig well without water since and I held off a day to water to wait and see if it rains. Also gpt a little top sress of BSF frass and a touch of neem seed meal to help with pests and also helped the microbes in the tea.

Peace.

This will be the ladies last week of Veg, they will be flipped to flower at the end of the week. I have been increasing the nutrients steadily, and rotating between heavy, light and low nutrient mixes. They have been steadily getting taller and bushier. Temps have remained steady in the high 70’s and low 80’s while RH has come down a bit to between 55 and 60%. I won’t be doing much training for these girls, and I won’t be running a SCROG this time around. I’ll need to make another custome size for my tent now that I have a much larger setup. Happy Gardening 😊👊❤️
