D53 - It's been a few days since my last entry, but I had the opportunity to spend a long weekend in Amsterdam, and who can say no to that? It's a mission to hook up the automatic drip irrigation for only a few days of travel, so I watered the girls thoroughly before leaving. Sure, they were thirsty when I came back but weren't drooping. The trichomes still show a bunch of clear, so chop day is still a bit off. The girls STINK! Or rather, they smell amazing but smell A LOT. It's that bad that I'm replacing the old carbon filter tomorrow. I was initially planning on replacing the filter after this grow, but my girlfriend starts to grumble a bit, so I better get to it... D56 - We're at the end of the eighth week of flower, and it is all a waiting game. I still see many clear trichomes, so that it will be another week or two before the chop. I'm a bit concerned, though, as we have had a lot of rain lately, and the general humidity is relatively high. This increases the humidity in the tent as well, and it is currently in the low 60s even though I have a small dehumidifier running. That is high this late in flower, and I'm worried about botrytis.

Day 15 I added a second trellis netting for scrogging purposes but mildly mostly it was for support as the buds start to thicken up. It looks like things are coming along very well no deficiencies no pests and everything looks relatively healthy. I'm still toying around with the idea of having a continuous drip of water into the pot so that never dries out I'll just have to tweak it when I decide to go that way cuz that are not over-watering and causing root rot

The transition is officially happening—the plant has now fully entered the flowering phase!🌱 The stretch is kicking in, and it’s growing rapidly, really taking off this week. It looks incredibly healthy, with vibrant green leaves and strong development. Thanks to the LST, it has spread out beautifully, allowing for even light distribution and great bud site exposure. I’m really happy with how things are progressing and excited to see how the buds start forming in the coming weeks! This one is looking very promising.💪😎

I've started lollipopping and removing the smallest skinniest branches. I'll do this throughout the week and stop on day 21. I've picked off a few top fan leaves for light penetration too. It's awesome to see this many pistils going into week 3. I'll be posting a midweek update as well. 6/20 Not too much to update, I've plucked off all the small short stems that I don't want, added a 7" oscillating fan, and started working koolbloom powder into my nute regimen. My clone tent has a pretty bad fungus gnat infestation, so I treated that tent and this one with neem oil. Happy growing!

Flowering day 24. I hope the White Widow doesn’t stretch any further because I don’t have much vertical space left. Next time I grow hydroponically, I’ll make two identical clones since these have different nutrient appetites. I switched to flowering nutrients on day 21

The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. Day 49..moved the plants last week so they have more room. Stretch is slowing down and starting to bush out with loads of bud sites. No signs of any deficiencies yet, even though only feeding organic spirulina for last month.

Finally moving on to the next stage where i expect to keep the conditions more stable and plan on moving the vpd up slowly as well as move the temperature down to around 21 degrees by the last week of flower. The lighting schedule will start at 12 hours of dark and increase by half an hour weekly until we get down to 10 hrs light and 14 hours of dark for the last two weeks (last week plus flush).

La semaine 5 s'est plutôt bien déroulée, même si les autres plants ont connu un léger excès d'azote. Heureusement, mes plantes n'en ont pas souffert. J'ai pris la décision de les nourrir exclusivement avec des éléments favorables à la floraison. En parallèle, je commence à défolier délicatement une à deux feuilles par jour. It’s been a good week of bud growth. I started turning up the dial to 400watts over night when the temps start to lower. I did add an hps to add color and wattage to the grow and not break the bank. So far it’s paying off. With allot of heat I’m keeping my eye on the water levels. Refilling as needed.

Day 31 and she’s looking gorgeous and smelling danker everyday. Loving the number of tops she has going on, and her size is incredible. Definitely one I will remember. Drinking about 3 gallons per day with res changes twice a week. Was defoliated once to help with light penetration.

3x3 Tent (Variety of Clones) - Day 42 incredibly strong smells coming from tent, so checked tricomes for first time and found 90% cloudy, 15-20% amber, so decided to harvest the four plants. Black Cherry Gas could have waited another week or so before Harvest, but decided to pull along with the joining four b/c tent is doubling for drying (space issue). 2x4 Tent - Heading into week five of flower. Noticed the French Macaron had a taco effect on leaves. Decided to adjust LED lighting down to 60% to see if that helps. Ph still coming in at between 6.5 and 7. For soil this is an acceptable range, IMO. Continuing to Ph water along with weekly soil program regimen. French Macaron seem to respond to lower PPFD readings. Later in week adjusted LED from 60 to about 70% intensity. PPFD readings between 500-700. 2x2 Tent - Defoliated the one Afgooey Auto plant in the 2x2 tent with Ph/soil program watering. Applied small amount of soil program watering to clones, since they're slightly moist from previous watering. Clones continue to reveg and are showing positive signs of growth.

They are growing big... Drinking 5 liters a day each... 😃

This week we haven't really experience anything too crazy, plant C had a little underwatering issue she got thirsty started to look pretty weak the 1st day of week 6 (for her only) she had recovered by the end of day 1 before going into the dark cycle. As the week progresses we should see some more tricome production and some more development of the bud sites. I'm hoping the underwatering that happened won't stunt or hurt the end yield too bad, that was a bad moment of laziness... whoops. Overall I haven't had any problems yet with pests there's been a lot of gnats and spiders on the outside of the tent but nothing on the inside. For a cheap tent it's working awesome. It does have some light leakaround the zippers but this isn't a problem for me as I'm growing in a darker area already. But if this were in a bright room all the time this tent would be a bad choice. Now as week 7 progresses we'll start seeing more rapid Bud development and see some increased tricome production. To think this girl (plant A) is just barely over halfway done is crazy. I have ended up removing the entire bottom 1/3 of the plant in the form of defoliation of the yellowed and dying leaves. People say don't defoliate Autos for shock reasons I hope it doesn't really matter.
