Vanilla Latte from Huboldt Seed Company seems to be very stron strain! others still going very well...

Ending week 1 today! I am satisfied with how the girls are growing. Quick summary by days: note: amount of water is on ALL plants, not just 1 13/9 6.5 PH Water Misting (0,2L) 14/9 6.5 PH Water Misting (0,2L) 15/9 6.5 PH Water Misting (0,3L) 16/9 Since I didn't water my soil when I was planting the seeds, I grabbed some more soil, put it on top just to help with stretching, and then I decided to do a full watering just to get the soil wet. I grabbed my pressure pump, put in 1,5L of 6.5PH water, voodoo juice + piranha 2ml/L and watered all 9 of them with 1.5L (misting with the pressure pump - I think I will continue to do the waterings like this because it's so easy!) 17/9 6.5 PH Water Misting (0,2L) I've seen a fungus gnat, so I put up more yellow sticky traps. 18/9 6.5 PH Water Misting (0,2L) 19/9 6.5 PH Water Misting (0,2L) Caught 4 fungus gnats for now, I hope the bastards didn't lay their eggs. Keeping the vents on. Temperature this weeks was 24-27, moisture 50-70, average 60. Mimosa #2 a bit yellowish, keeping an eye on her, hope it's nothing serious. Everything else is fine, going into week 2! I still won't give them any NPK, just voodoo + piranha + b52 in week 2. Maybe i put carboload or bud candy just to feed the bacteria and the fungus in piranha and voodoo juice, any thoughts on that? I think I will introduce Micro+Grow+Bloom 0,5ml/L in the third week. Also, there are some white spots on the leaves. I think it could be chlorine? Im watering with tap water, letting it sit for around 12 hours before adjusting PH and watering. had some left over fish shit tea brew from the veg run, so I gave it to the flowering girls right now, due to the brewing there are only low levels of N and lots of microbes. Worry about the microbes and the plants will uptake what they need, this philosophy seems to be working very well.

-SOAKING SEEDS STARTED AT 4:15PM on 4/2/22 All of them sank by the next day with a little stirring of the water - most of them were floating before I stirred the water then they sank & stayed underwater. -PLANTING SEEDS STARTED AT 6PM on 4/3/22 Seedling Starter Soil: 1 Coco Coir Block (hydrated with 12cups aquarium water) About 5 cups Vermiculite 4Tbsp Down To Earth Starter Nutrients Mycorrhizal Fungi Spring Water - watering the hole with mycorrhizal before planting seed & then again after planted. -AFTER THE FIRST SPROUT ON 4/5/22 Turned on seedling clip light to blue only, dimmest setting @ 20%. Keeping light on for 18/6 6am-12pm - 4/6/22 INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 50% It seems like they were slightly stretching for light **watch for light burn on cotyledon leaves** -4/7/22 MORNING INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 100% The plants are stretching even more I increased light to full 100%, it'll have to keep an eye on them & make sure they don't get light burnt or topple over from reaching -4/7/22 AFTERNOON SWITCHED LIGHT TO GIIXER The two tallest plant cotyledon started to droop to the side so I didn't want to take a risk continuing to try the clip light only on blue @ 100%. I have the Gixxer on only veg at a distance of 10" away from the tops of the cotyledon leaves. I also cracked the lid & put an oscillating fan on low just to give them a tiny bit of movement to strengthen their stems because they'll be tall and weaker with stretching. *I tried using a new seedling light & it was a failure - they are now stretching due to that light. I switched back to my trusted seedling light & hoping they'll be back on track.*

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. The excellent mycorrhizal powder PRO-MIX Connect to support the roots certainly works very well. All the girls have been very strong and stable from an early age 💚🌿🌲 Training: This week I had to do LST and defoliation 2x. This is usually the case during this period. And like her sister, I made the first defoliation bigger, the second one milder 🍃

Here we go its been long time since ive popped some fast buds but hey better late than never 👊👊

Beginning of week.. These girls are not looking too bad.. I believe the leaves are not spreading much of those issues anymore.. The medium is still spittin out acidic runoff tho.. The only thing I can think of is the roots from previous runs weren't completely removed.. The decomposing roots inside the medium may make the medium acidic af... But I still don't know 100%.. I read that in 1 forum but again.. Idk 100%.. *sigh.. I really hope I can complete this run with no major issues or hurting yields too much. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will somehow just fix itself lol.. Ugh.. But I am not giving up! I WILL fill this 2x4 tent with MASSIVE ETHOS COLAS! Gonna be topping soon.. As soon as the main stem is long enough to cut and still be able to leave some stem so that the top 2 branches don't spit. These 2 plants have very different branch sizes.. I believe its because of the light not being able to penetrate as much of the branches on the ETHOS Cookies due to the fan leaves being on such short stems. The Mandarin Cookies may take over more than half of the tent.. But that shouldn't be a major issue.. As long as both are getting great light penetration, I'll be happy.. Still not sure if I am gonna LST and ScrOG or just LST.. I really wanna ScrOG and try ir out. I just hope I do it right.. I think I may have it figured out.. Need a little more research! But the girls are doing good.. Temps are getting kinda high here and there.. But they don't seem to mind too much. I will be upping the FloraGro and keeping the Hydroguard in the mix, also.. If it can help with root issues in hydro, maybe it can help my issue too... It says it can turn decaying matter into food for the plants.. So I guess we shall see!... Later that night... So I fed late today and checked the runoff, as I always do.. It had been 3 days since I last watered/fed (flushed actually.. Then added 1L of nutes so she wouldn't be hungry)... *going in (each): - 3L @ 1000 PPM 6.4 pH *runoff: - Mandarin Cookies: 150 PPM 6.0 pH - ETHOS Cookies: 200 PPM 6.0 pH ... So the pH is possibly starting to balance back out! The runoff still did not contain this feeding or the last feeding when it comes to TDS in the runoff.. Unless these girls are drinking/eating it up like that! The roots at the drain holes are looking massive and healthy as can be! I can't imagine they are doing bad in there.. And they are growing quite well.. But I can't wait to get these girls going!!!.. Oh yeah.. I went ahead and topped them both.. Both have 6 nodes.. That is all.. Going to let these girls just start branching out and going to try and not mess with them much (if anything just tie some bramches down to help them all kinda even out.. A.k.a... LST lol) till it is time to lollipop and get ready for flower! Just feeding/watering and tucking leaves when I can so the new colas can start doing their magic! So excited!!! Next day... I found some Coca-Cola crates.. I'm gonna use them to raise the pot and saucers off the ground.. The saucer has been holding moisture underneath and creating a bit of a mildew-ey smell.. So now, I make sure I rinse the entire saucer.. Top and bottom.. With all the airflow in the tent, theybwill dry in 60 seconds no problem!.. But now the tops are 12 inches from the light.. The power is still at 25%.. And now the girls are getting around 300 - 350 μmols/m2/s or whatever it is lol.. Mid week.. Went ahead and fed her again today. I added the Kushie Kush (bloom booster) because it contains the most Potassium.. That is what most of these marks on the leaves are from, I believe.. The runoff pH came out at 5.8 and 5.7 today.. *sigh... I really need this to clear up.. Hmm.. Maybe FloraKleen??? I guess that's all I have left to try.. Flushing multiple gallons every day for 3 or 4 days wasn't enough.. It helped.. But damn, I think I need to pull out ths big guns to clear this up.. Gonna see what happens next watering (2 or 3 days) and see what the runoff is then.. May set it to go in at 6.5 or something.. Idk... Ugh.. I really wanna just try hydro lol.. I bet one plant in a 5 gallon bucket would do awesome in this tent with a ScrOG! Hmmmmm.. Lol... End of week.. Went ahead and lollipopped a little. Both plants.. Also tied some of the longer branches down some.. Once the higher up branches are a little longer, I can then get them all tied down and begin figuring out if I should ScroG.. All depends how this ETHOS Cookies does in the next week or so.. On to the next!...

Week 3 💚 8th - 15th of February 2021

Transitioning to LED this week, going to ease into it. Topped at 21 days. Growing Lost Pearl and Critical Kush (which I plan to push into flower early.

Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering. It's been very cold for around here this week. -10 c and it going down to -21 c with the wind chill. This week we will be going back to normal temps. The weather broke all sorts of freezing records for around here. I worked to keep the hummingbird feeders from freezing, (they need sugar water) and checked them hourly. This is the last week of food for these beautiful girls. I will flush with water with a bit of Hydrogen Peroxide in it. When the pots leach out their nutrients the reservoir water still has some ppm in it. The first week it will round off at 600 ppm. And the second week it will round off at around 300. So the plants will still get a bit of nutrients. But not what they are use to so they start bringing in the nutrients they have in the fan leaves and the leaves turn yellow. Have Fun. Chuck.
