Purple Kush is een pure indica-soort, ontstaan uit een kruising tussen Hindu Kush en Purple Afghani. Deze genetische achtergrond zorgt voor een stabiele en krachtige plant met een compact formaat en een brede groeiwijze. Tijdens de bloeifase, die doorgaans 8 tot 9 weken duurt, ontwikkelen de planten dichte, harsrijke toppen met een karakteristieke paarse tint. Hoewel het paarse bij mij pas echt de laatste week kwam, was dit alleen op het grote blad. Aan het einde van de bloeiperiode kun je binnen een opbrengst verwachten tot 500 gram per vierkante meter, terwijl buitenkwekers tot 800 gram per plant kunnen oogsten. De toppen hebben een hele zoete, aardse geur. Voor een succesvolle teelt is het belangrijk om de luchtvochtigheid tijdens de bloei te verlagen tot ongeveer 40-50% om schimmelvorming te voorkomen. Het handhaven van koele tot gematigde temperaturen tussen 18 en 24 graden Celsius bevordert de ontwikkeling van de paarse kleur in de toppen. Ervaren kwekers halen zeker positieve resultaten bij het kweken van Purple Kush, met name wat betreft de potentie en de unieke smaakprofiel van de geoogste toppen. Since this was my first grow - I have nothing to compare this to. Overall I think it was pretty straightforward - learning points all around with this grow and for that I'm pretty happy to have made mistakes and learned from them. And hopefully put the experience I gained towards a second grow which will turn out "better". I ran into some deficiencies later in the grow and early on overfed which in turn made me reluctant to feed more. I feel pretty confident that going forward I'll have a better feel for this. One thing I have realized is that the use of cal-mag is a bit overstated (when I stopped adding it the plant seemed to respond better). I have no proof of this but it seemed to be the case. The plant battled with fungus gnats in the late stages of vegetation and early part of flower. Due to watering issues, from my side. I was hoping to maybe get a few more days out of the grow before harvest (December 21st) but the plant started to produce male organs (is that the right word?). A lot of things going on - I assume plant was stressed and I didn't have many other diaries to compare to for this strain. I was hoping to maybe run one more week, but pulled these all out with tweezers and decided after looking at pistil color and them pulling back into the bud and checking trichromes I decided to harvest. It was really towards the end of the cycle here that I started reading more about VPD etc and realized that here I was also having the plant in a stressful environment the last weeks. On this basis, I will definitely need to read a bit more and in general just learn from my mistakes in order to have a nice run the second time around. I am pleased with what I have, but understand I can do better!

Nice plant to grow, really good smell, grows quickly so after 1 or 2 weeks in a 4x4 (1.20 x 1.20 meter) so what more is there to tell. I find the smell unique, its very candy like. Also the trychromes 😎 its sticky as hell. Very good to make some hash. Will show you how to make ice o lator hash later!

Nice plant to grow, really good smell

Red Wine was a joy to grow. Very easy plant that does not need a lot of nutrition. Grows fast from Seeds till flower (11 weeks) Smell is out of this world, cant pinpoint because Ive never done Red Wine but its fruity, a hint of berries and trychromes is so much, this will make a good hash plant. Rock hard buds!!!

This is a very easy strain to grow. Doesnt need that much Nutrition. If u stick to half doses youre ok! Smells like candy and bubble gum. Very nice taste and good smoke!

Today i cut down the Durban Poison. Its 1 plant and total of 120 grams. Seeds Genetics Co. did a very good job to this Genetics. Very easy to grow. Doesnt need much nutrition. Smell is very special, with hints of berries, wood, some citrus. Leaf butt Ratio is very good. Not a Bushy plant. Will do an update soon

Best to train her or she'll grow too tall and flop over in flower.
