I had to harvest her early. Possibly 2-3 weeks.
The early harvest had two reasons.
1. I had to harvest before my vacation
2. I noticed bud rod!
After drying I had about 50 grams - but I didn't trim so well - guess I end up at 40 after final trimming.
Compared to my Watermelon harvest, I do not know what to expect.
Some of the buds have brown spots, looks like they dried too much. (Might also be an early stage of bud rod).
But I didn't see any mould or growing brown spots.
The smell is very different from Watermelon. It smells like dry hay after drying.
Currently I am curing the buds and the smell of hay reduces.
I am excited for the taste and effect!

One of the easiest autos I grown. Minimal training and she put out some nice looking spears. She was a lot thirstier in flower than I'm used to, the. Again she was a big girl!

Harvested with 75 days. A little bit earlier than what I would've wanted, but life got in the way and I had to chop them early.
Overall pretty satisfied with the grow, but the buds are very mid. Was a very good learning experience though, will improve in the next one.
Total of 72g dry off of Northern Lights #1 (lots of larf) and 18g off of Norther Lights #2.
Neither Northern Lights or Royal Cheese were particularly incredible on the nose or even smoke - although I believe some of it is due to the early harvest.
Anyways, pretty satisfied with how this went through, was able to test some techniques and learn a lot. Now to the next grow!

After snaping big branches i try to snap bads also for be sure if its realy dryed, after puting in yars humidity says 48-55 % befor puting two way control bag (58%) so i think its a good call, its time to cure and wait for smell unlock, open 1-2-3 times a day
Still got work to do 1 was left, this didnt have to thick buds so other one could wait little(not snaping like this two)
Colors are nice! And smelling solid fresh like that, still got time to be better

Sie war von Anfang bis zum Ende sehr robust, was Fehler meinerseits usw. anging.
Sie für ein Auto eine recht große Pflanze
Sie brauchte den gesamten Anbau über wenig Dünger.
Oder der Dünger war einfach sehr gut.
Fast 11 Wochen gabe ich sie gepflegt dass Ergebnis kann sich denke ich sehen lassen.
Sie hat überall dicke, köstlich süßlich duftende, klebrige Buds produziert und davon auch nicht wenig. ????

A lot to defoliate but a good Strain, sadly I got a different Pheno this time and that one had Bananas at the very end of its cycle, about 2 weeks before harvest.
Considering all probably a good harvest anyway.

Final harvest: 18g dry
She didnt get enough Sunlight (only about 4 Hours direct sunlight)
A very good learning experience nonetheless.
She forgave me all my errors & continued to grow as if nothing ever happened to her (accidentally topped during the first weeks of flowering).
Although we had consistent very high humdity during the last weeks of flowering here, she only had a little tiny tiny bit of mold on one bud, which i removed immediately.
In the end of flowering she had a very nice (kind of strong) citrus smell. Sadly, the temps went too high during drying causing the terpenes to evaporate (23 degrees Celsius).
Nonetheless she has a very nice, mellow effect. The smoke is very smooth after only 2 weeks of curing.
I like the Effects of this strain very much. 9/10 would grow again. A bit disappointed on the yield, but this was never meant to produce big yields, it was more of a learning experience for me. :)

Plant was destroyed, bud rot on multiple buds. We had a very wet spring. No need to risk contaminating my drying tent.

I started this grow with terrible soil. Fox farms happy frog was super low ph like 5.2 or so. The northern light still produced 2.5 dry oz of flower but it was riddled with decencies due to lock outs. I’ll try it again in the future with better soil. I’m shocked that it still produced something tbh. It had tons of bud sites but popcorn style. Very few large buds. Look at this journal as an example of things that go wrong lol.

Did not grow as high as expected. Had really big buds. But only 20g dry. Far away from 100g dry. But under the given conditions I am happy with the result. Also it was my first grow and I started about one month too early. So I can recommend this strain to everyone looking for a robust plant that is easy to grow while not be too strong in its high.
