Black Widow Fem

I popped 1 seed of Black Widow fem-photo from ILGM in a rapid rooter. 142 days later here we are. The long flower time was definitely influenced by my environmental conditions, and a deficiency that I was able to fix. The fact that she withstood that and produced some nice looking buds with heavy aroma was impressive. I can't wait to grow again indoors and really push her to the max. Great genetics in my opinion as I did not experience any type of issues, herm, diseases, etc.

What a beauty 😍 these buds are just so frosty it's hard to work on her if you have hairy arms 😆 other than the height it grew it was a perfect grow, height is always an issue with them wanting to fall over once the buds get big. I would think this would be a great plant to scrog

Black widow is one my favorite plants to grow... She started off slow due to bad soil, transplanted into coco loco an she was praying whole time her leaves wom re ay

Indica and sativa is outdated. You decide when you harvest. And you decide how far along the trichomes have developed. Wide leaf ("indica strains") take shorter to flower. And generally have more amber trichomes with cbg(responsible for the couch lock body high). Narrow leaf ("sativa") takes longer and has less dense buds making them seem larger. Meaning the grower harvests when there are less cbg and more THCA. If I harvested these a week ago they would be more of a "sativa" high. I waited to the exact time I wanted the trichomes ratio of cloudy to Amber to be as I desired. Therefore, these will produce a more pain relieving anti anxiety couch lock stone for sleeping. That's what I wanted so that's good.

Being that she's a sativa dom, I learned she likes to grow tall, HUGE even, if left untrained. I would recommend using a scrog net just because towards the end of flower her buds tend to weigh her down. I noticed I had to use several wires to help prop up the branches. As far as training goes, she seems to favor super cropping more than topping and definitely start tying down branches early in veg, the earlier the better. Be careful not to allow humidy to climb above 60% otherwise that when you run into issues with her. The first run ended badly because I kept my temps and humidity too high. So before the mother died (which I started from seed), I took this clone so I can reattempt this cultivar. She was definitely worth the redo and the long wait (mind you been waiting since the mother plant to try this stuff) lol

The grow took longer then expected but I failed to realize the difference between feminized and autos.

Mr Nice seeds and the infamous Black Widow. Defiantly a lot of fun to grow. This was my first Grow. Actually this was the first time I’ve seen a cannabis plant...alive and I was about to get an ounce per plant. Only imagine what you can do with experience. Cannot wait to grow her again... maybe next to a white widow for a side by side comparison.
