Blue Funk is a great strain based on the multiple crossed genetics of Cheese and Blueberry. Cheese, which arrived from the USA in the 80’s and which is based on original Skunk genetics, was carefully nurtured and developed for both indoor and outdoor use in the UK over the last 20 years by an underground squatter collective. Winner of the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2000 and runner-up the following year, Blueberry is a real genetic jewel. The resulting Blue Funk is a strong, not very tall plant with a short growth cycle, producing strong lateral branches covered in resin-filled buds.

Not a bad outcome but not entirely happy how it grew. Grew too fast and seemed to mature too quickly. Split its own stem during growth but still finished.
Prob 50/50 decent and crappy buds. Not made on the formation being honest. Tasted one dry not cured, had a nice high and wasn't a bad smoke, some flavour but lacking, the cure should bring it out.
120g dried curing and probably an oz trimmed today of lower buds that I left longer.

Found a couple of seeds in this, a couple of minor naners had popped out towards the end of flower. This pheno of Blue cheese felt distinctly middling, skunky and blueberry tinged and earthy, felt quite oldskool. Big plant yielded 6 Oz which is good.

Haven’t tasted the product yet as I still have to finish drying will do a report on taste before cure and once the cure is complete. (Smoke before cure reports): bud is very strong taste of blueberry the smoke was actually pretty good to have not been cured can’t wait til cures complete!

This strain is my favorite no question of the 4 strains from Expert Seeds. I give this a 10 out of 10 for taste, smell, denseness, and yield. Super easy to grow and so earthy tasting yet also with a slight blueberry hint.

Buds are very dense, look beautiful, and smoke great. Very strong strain, it was my first grow and I put her through a lot of stress and fed her a lot but she handled everything very well and continued to push forward. Would love to grow this Blue Cheese again and make a few adjustments because the quality and quantity would be even better.
