Dying Breed's California Black Rozé was used as the female in this cross. Her flavor and effects are extraordinary and much more resinous than the original Zkittlez. Vibrant hues of purple, black and red dominate this heavy-hitting hybrid. Avacado shaped flowers are dense and easy to trim. Her extraction quality is beyond my descriptive abilities.
This strain grew out ok. The yield was a bit disappointing. Smell is very sour and can be off putting to some Tokers. The tase is much better. It taste like proper skittles. A nice smoke and evening vape.
However this will be my last run on this for a few reasons. First of all I have been getting a limited number of immature or fully mature seeds in my bud. Not a lot to completely ruin the experience mind you but it is concerning that it may effect my other plants. Which thankfully it hasn't. So grower be ware this is not a stabe strain.
I have also had experience with its sister strain Mandarin Cookies. My last run with it I got 3 seeds out of the stash. So I'm not sure how Ethos breeds their genetics but there is something odd happening. I rarely, if ever, get seeds in my other strains.
In the end I'm happy but I'm now a little bit hesitant to try another ethos strain.
This strain is incredible. I lucked out with my drying conditions. It was between 55 and 50 percent with a temperature of 69F. I do not whole hang due to space limitations and the fact of smell remediation. I like to be a good neighbor. So I did a stalk rack dry with both a wet and dry trim. This strain was a breeze to trim. Buds were very compact and the stalk on these plants was solid. Even though I staked them these were short squatty plants so if height is an issue then feel free to pick up this strain. I have both vaped this after a week and a half of dry and cure and the taste alone is so incredible. If I thought I had an orange terpine with Mandarin Cookies V2 this version of it has an even more pronounced. It also has an after taste of berries which pairs well with the passion fruit punch that I grew with it. All in all I'm very happy with this strain and will be growing it in the future.
these things have been in flower since the start of December, they do not handle the heat at all they just sprouted hairs and then changed color.
Update i have gone a second round to give this one another chance and she seems to be going okay the last few tops wont go red though but will still be great, check my other diary
