In my opinion, sea of green (sog) works best with freshly rooted clones. You can pack them close together and can begin flowering them almost as soon as they're transplanted from the cloner. Autoflowers don't clone well and typically people don't top them. This is due to their internal clock counting down to maturity as opposed to photoperiods being controlled by the light cycle.

spartacus_ve commented: My objective is to grow autos and photoperiods together! This is why I wrote audacious to do this as newbie :) thanks to the feedbacks. Answer: I've done this. Most autos take roughly 90 - 120 days to go from seed to harvest. Photoperiod plants tend to take 4-8weeks longer to get to harvest due to the length of time the grower decides to veg his/her plants. By the time you're flipping to 12/12 the autos have typically set in size and are beginning to fill out. The 12/12 light cycle will reduce the yield from autos some-what. How much depends on where they were at in maturity before you flipped to 12/12. There's only 2 potential benefits to growing autos with your photos. 1) You'll have some fresh flower to harvest before your photos finish. 2) Harvesting the autos opens up light and space for the photos to grow and mature. However My opinion is the best use of autoflower seeds is for growing outdoors in a northern climate where photos struggle to finish. If you start an auto in May, they will almost always be finished and ready to harvest before you roll into September and the colder dew filled nights cause havoc in your outdoor photoperiod crop.
