Oh man! This was awesome for my first hydro grow. The biggest thing I learned about is root and leaf maintenance. When I started, there was a gnarly light leak messing with the roots and I think was ultimately choking the plant. (You can see in the pictures). I countered as much as I could and still ended up having a healthy grow despite this. I changed to a solid black bucket instead of a painted black one, and I added some hydrogenated every week, which seemed to have worked as well as it could have. The other was I trimmed my leaves WAY too much!! I would trim almost every day, even during flowering. Big mistake. I ended up getting a very respectable yield, but I definitely know I could have gotten more if I left her alone. If anyone has gotten this far and is reading this, be mindful of not overdoing the trimming. All in all, I’m still learning but I’m getting much better as a I go! Can’t wait to grow again.
