<span class="link_user">@Noweed</span>, I&#039;m not fully sure. I&#039;m cheap and still use drop solution. I basically just get a sample runoff sample and 3-5 drops depending on sample size. I&#039;m more so trying to see if my soil is alkaline or acidic based on the runoff. I usually start my grow by just pH the water for the plants but once I&#039;m a month in I&#039;m checking the runoff as way to up or down my pH for the water there after. It works for me and people have told me this is the way. Still not a bad idea to keep testing your water for any spikes or dips in pH.
