Why does uploading photos take for ever? This needs yo be built into an app. This is a good idea but too many issues trying to use the app lately

I think the site has crashed no new diaries since 2 days ago now also I uploaded mine and it's still says it hasn't done it . When I click on the diary it shows the new weekly update but it doesn't show the new cover photo or show that I've updated it nor does it go up onto the home page of gd.
