Hey I know I'm late buuuut. I am also doing hydro grows for the first time and I had the same rust issues in the beginning. I tried to follow the advice of keeping my PH at 5.8 for hydro and it seems like the plants did not like that. I found that they stayed happy above 6.... 6-6.5 and I had no issue after that. I hope that helps. Ridiculous grow btw!!! I have some fastbuds strawnana hydro going right now for the first time and I'm excited seeing all these yields!!
