The_Kitchen_Raccoon Hi guys, and welcome back ! 🌱
For this run, we’ll be taking a closer look at Golosa from Delicious Seeds, a cultivar I’ve been particularly curious to explore for its reputed terpene profile and overall quality.
Golosa is an indica-dominant hybrid, bred from Blueberry × Grapefruit × Bay 11, and is generally described as being around 80% indica / 20% sativa.
What interests me most with this particular plant is her terpene potential. The cultivar has been around for several years now, but I’ve heard some very promising reports about her aromatic intensity and complex terpene expression. So, beyond simply chasing potency, I’m really looking forward to seeing what she can bring in terms of aroma, flavour, resin production and overall character.
For the medium, she’ll be grown in Soma’s Sacred Living Soil, with the intention of keeping the nutrition as simple and biologically driven as possible. I’ll be using Biobizz Root Juice and occasional compost tea, with no conventional bottled nutrient program.
Because Soma’s Sacred Living Soil is quite nutrient-rich, I’ll be giving her a gentle start in Biobizz Light-Mix for the first couple of weeks. Once she has established a healthy root system, she’ll be introduced to the living soil and allowed to develop from there.
I’m particularly interested in seeing how Golosa responds to this more organic, soil-focused approach and, ultimately, whether the living medium can help her express the terpene complexity and resin production she’s reputed for.
So, sit back, grab your favourite smoke, and enjoy the journey with me. 😎💚
