She continues to put on weight. It has been a hot week here in Northern California but I don't think its gotten over 80 F in the tent. She is looking great to me and I am looking forward to seeing some amber so I know its time to harvest.

Had a bit of a cat-tastrophy this week. I left my tent open to go and fill a bucket of water, came back and zipped it up. What I didn't know is that the cat got in. Not 5 minutes later I can hear all sorts of shit moving around so I came in to find I had zipped him and and he went bonkers and bent almost every branch on the Skunk. So I had to do emergency tie jobs, but I ended up losing 2 medium colas and 1 small one. Could have been much worse if the skrog net wasn't there to stop them from snapping. Injuries look like bent plastic straws, so I'm going to be watching her closely to see if she herms from that massive amount of stress. Some of the pics have cat hair in them, thank the little brat. Anyway, Skunk is a 45-50 day finisher so I'm going another week and then she gets the chop. Lots of microscope videos today and finally found an amoeba. Also something moving in an egg...what is it? That's at 400x so I think it's a nematode egg based on what I found online. If you look closely at the super zoomed in trichome shot, you can see the reflections of other trichomes...just fucking epic.👏 All the food stops now, too much in the soil for her to start senescence. Nothing but water and FFJ now. New pistils are still coming in so who knows, maybe she'll keep going a few more weeks.

Cookies and Cream is growing great under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. I changed her solution today, I also defoliated her, and pruned the tips off the long roots. I then proceeded to lollipop the canopy. She has been growing strong, and fast. I hope it continues 🤞🏻. Approaching the finish line. Fertilizer is now at its final dose. Both plants stopped growing now and started to build thick buds. Ken in fact is way ahead in terms of buds but it might be because he Hase a little bit less in number. It’s possible that I trained Ryu too much for his pot size 😆😆. But let’s see. Both looking very good and a lot more powerful than in my first grow. Water intake is still massive. The top soil is rock solid while draining water super fast which must mean the pots are filled with massive roots. The erected teeth came down a bit but they were never that severe in the first place so I’m still not worried about that. I skipped one day of watering to account for possible slight overfeeding but I mean, today’s watering then was with the increased dose of fert 😆😆. I know I’m pushing it a little bit but that’s deliberate. I have high demands both in mass and quality so my approach is riding the edge as good as possible from the beginning 😆

Bien hallados los que llegaron a este seguimiento, comenzamos durante esta semana como se venia advirtiendo en el post pasado nos afectaría una sobre dosificación por parte del bio-vega aplicado la semana 4, una de las plantas mas afectadas es la Critical Mass CBD quien fuera la primera en demostrar quemaduras en sus puntas, posterior a ella la siguiente mas afecta es la Forum Cookies x OG Badazz que a diferencia de la Critical presenta menos quemaduras, la O.M.G y Brain Cake al ser alimentadas con otra dosificación no demostraron quemaduras. El otro punto importante es una deficiencia de calcio y magnesio, que e ido detectando durante la semana 4 y comienzos de la semana 5, para corregir dicha carencia se comenzó a dosificar con 0,8 ml de calmag de atami, lo que se ira administrando de manera constante en los riegos debido a que estamos trabajando con agua des-mineralizada, por lo tanto es necesario agregar este suplemento. Probablemente la próxima semana, volvamos a abonar con bio-vega solo a la O.M.G y Brain Cake, con el fin de eliminar la sobre dosificación de la Forum y Critical quienes solo se les seguirá suministrando agua, rhizotonic y calmag con bajas dosis. The other important point is a calcium and magnesium deficiency, which was detected during week 4 and at the beginning of week 5, to correct said deficiency, the dose was started with 0.8 ml of atami calmag, which will be administered constantly in the irrigations because we are working with demineralized water, therefore it is necessary to add this supplement. Probably next week, we will fertilize with bio-vega only the O.M.G and Brain Cake, in order to eliminate the overdose of Forum and Critical who will only continue to be supplied with water, rhizotonic and calmag with low doses. 1/15 Day 85 from flip, which is about day 71 of flower. I think both are ready for the chop finally. Looking around the tent today I noticed most leaves up at the top were crispy and falling apart, so I went and trimmed all those off. Looking at trichomes for pheno 1, its pretty close to 50/50 clear and cloudy, but I’ve noticed the amber is really starting to come in. Pheno 2 is more cloudy than clear, and also with a decent amount of amber showing up. I don’t want a large amount of amber trichomes and think it’s about perfect right where it is, so even though both still have some clear I think it’s time to call it. Tomorrow will be chop.

Medium: Look, I love coco/soil, organic/synthetic just as much as anyone. I’ve never really hated on any particular method and each has its uses depending upon the environment. That being said.... hydro is likely to be the predominant indoor method for us going forward. It ticks all the boxes that the average hobby grower is looking for. Maintenance is generally pretty easy, while I’ve found myself monitoring ph and tds more frequently, I’m still only mixing nutes once a week instead of three. The hassle factor is crazy mitigated here: 1:. From a sustainability perspective, nute consumption is wayyyy down, saving more dolla bills y’all! Added bonus is that veg. Growth rates are just insanely fast. Easily a 2 week savings in time pre-flower🤟😎😳. It is a little bit of a tricky medium but once you dial in the ratios - smooth sail’n the whole grow. I can focus on training/maintenance instead of feeding🤟🤟. If there’s a drawback to DWC it would be that I’d have concerns about leaving it for more than a couple days when she’s in full flower. They just drink so much that It’s a constant top off. All told, far and away the most effective and economical medium we’ve used😎. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️ Under this COB light system, the best method to date has definitely been a mainline. It’s got so much canopy penetration that we’re pulling down 16” long colas packed with well developed buds. The mainline training didn’t take long in DWC - roughly 4 weeks of veg. And she was ready for the flip. We only extended it a further 2 weeks to keep pace with another grow in the same space. Otherwise, I would’ve cut the veg. Time back to 4 weeks which would’ve made the behemoth of a root ball a little more manageable. We also iceballed the res. With frozen water bottles twice a day throughout the grow. Just to keep temps down and avoid any potential issues. Whether or not there’s a better, more efficient way to get these kinds of results remains to be seen. We’re still trying to strike that balance between faster veg. Times and maximized yields. If anything, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the hermie issue at the end had something to do with the root ball binding on itself due to size. The true culprit was an unanticipated light leak but still - The ball could’ve been 2/3 the size and likely have produced similar results🤷‍♂️. I’m giving the method a slim 4 because it was a great success but too long a veg. Yield/Harvest🌴🌴🌴🌴 Regardless of the final number, we had hoped that the yield would’ve been bigger. She’s a beauty of a plant but didn’t really puff out as much as we were hoping for. At least not a mainline on a 6 week veg. At 5.125oz we’re obviously not complaining and the colours in late flower were some of the best ever seen😎👌😎👌. What she did yield was frosty, dense and surprisingly stinky AF. I see no discernible difference in the quality of the terp. Profile vs. Any of our previous organic soil grows. For those who tout this as an advantage in soil media, I say get urself a bucket and a bubbler, then we’ll talk. Hydro is just straight up awesome: 1:. 4 palm trees on the yield - any haul north of 5oz is a great addition to the cellar: 1:😎: 1:😎. -Was excited to see roots shoot out basket during the beginning of the week. Then some major root growth throughout the week. -Noticed some brownish coloring on roots, thought root rot or nutrient sludge? Found out, through advanced nutrients, organic nutrients will leave a brown tinge. -pH finally where it should be. Still using GH pH testing kit to measure so no exact number. Based on their chart, yellow 6.0 -Leaves look a lighter green then I'm thinking it should be. Will add a little more nutrients during next water change in couple days. -Humidity still low! Running a temporary humidifier I already had outside closet door. Brought up humidity by 15%, but still only measuring 35% at it's highest. -Started playing music for plant about 30min/day, also talk to it a few times a day. Anyone else do this? -Disappointed in sludge build up, and mild/strong fish smell during first half of the week after water change as AN claims otherwise for this nutrient. Growth looks great besides that. -Lots of growth this 2nd week, very exciting to see, both above and below deck.

Well she has had 2 feeds and has doubled in size in the last week. No signs of flowering yet but looking very healthy. I have stopped lst as she is very bushy and making it hard to train.

I really feel like changing the lights in week 5 was a bad idea with both this and the gorilla glue. The quality of these nugs is great, but they could have done more. When running autos, its like a hurdle race, every little hurdle you hit takes away from the end product. However, despite my apparent mishandling, the smoke on this stuff is still great. The flavor is there for sure.
