week 8 in the books lemon is still swelling up but has slowed kinda thinking just packing on some weight now im hoping . Trichs are starting to get cloudy but alot still clear so going to wait until i see mostly cloudy and few amber and start a week or 2 flush on her depending on what her leaves are showing me . smells delish and stickyyyy . amnesia on the other hand is either just taking her sweet time to flower i beleive it say 9 week max to flower which im there or she reverted to a photo or something . If she still hasnt flowered by the time i harvest def gonna switch lights for a lil while and see if that can trigger her . Thats all for this week .

Week 5: A little yellowing on the leaves this week. We believe we have a Mag deficiency. Will adjust when watering. Did a flush due to this as well with Cal/Mag in the water. Defoliation: We took a lot more off this week due to the growth spurt. LST: using paper clips for LST and it is working amazingly. They have really adjusted well to it. Height (inches): GSC1 21.5; GSC2 15.5; GSC3 15; Delight 17 7.19.22: The back left GSC grew 3 inches overnight - crazy!!! Raised the light to accommodate it and placed the other girls on a box to be at her level.

Added silica to boost stem strength. Brew compost tea with 3 gallon rodi water, 2 tbsp molasses, 1 cup worm castings, 2 tbsp alfalfa meal, 1 tbsp bat guano, 1 tbsp seabird guano.

The first week of the 12/12 cycle went without any problems. The scrog is going fine and I've done some pruning & defoliation underneath the screen making it easier to water them. On day 40 (5th day of this week) I spotted the first pre-flowers. I gave them tapwater with Plagron nutrients once this week. The rest of the week I gave them ph adjusted tapwater every other day (Ec 0.46 - ph 6.1 - 1 liter each/48h) The cobs stayed at the same height and power as last week (43 cm/17 inch and 188 watt – DLI 28 – PPFD 648) On the last day it got a bit brighter again with the cobs at 40 cm/15.75 inch and 208 watt. Made some major upgrades to the environment. Moved the girls into a Vivosun 4x4 Tent and certainly not looking back. Loving it so much. Also grabbed a Spiderfarmer LED SF1000 or the rest of veg and by the time flower hits we shall have 2 Spiderfarmers ;) also did an extra topping on both! Not gonna undermine this grow one bit.

Week 7

January 24, 2019 The girls are doing WELL. Seedsman Cream & Cheese CBD in a close second in the bud development category this week (just behind the Critical+). But as you can see in the video, she is sticky and stinky! 👍 This week I fed/watered 3 times (basically once every other day). The first time I fed with Recharge, Mammoth P and Big Bloom. The second time, I fed with Mr B’s Green Trees Bloom and Cal Mag. The third time was water only.

Finally got the time to sit down to do some maintenance and training on this girl🙌 It was a wet and rainy Sunday on 7/25 so we pushed back our Farmers Market a day and I got to get soaked in the garden😅 Cleaned up the interior, removing discolored fan leaves that weren't getting enough light and small branches growing inward that wouldn't amount to much. Then I did some LST with 4' Bamboo stakes and PGarden EZ Soft Plant Ties. I staked 4 main branches to open up the interior for better light penetration and air circulation👍 When it was all said and done I brought the trim back down to the barn as a treat for my horse Kestrel, he loves snacking on trim leaves! I also switched the the Neptune's Harvest Rose and Flowering as we're approaching flowering time and also gave them some good old fashioned Crosby's Molasses to get those sugars going!

The room is tuned for consumption. And not every plant is ready to eat like this. Isn’t that hot?” Only if you misunderstand LED physics. ⸻ 🍃 Leaf VPD — Not Room VPD Under LED lighting: • Minimal infrared radiation • Leaf surface temperature runs 2–4°C below ambient • So while room reads 28°C, leaf surface likely sits 24–26°C With RH at 65%: 👉 Leaf VPD lands right in early–mid flower comfort zone. Signs that confirm it: • No tacoing • No stress curl • No bleaching • No claw • Strong praying • Fast metabolism • Uniform green tone We guide with room readings. But we decide based on leaf behavior. And the leaves are calm. ⸻ 💧 EC 2.9 — Why So High? Because the room demands it. Let’s break it down: • High PPFD (850–1200) • Elevated CO₂ (~900 ppm) • High transpiration window (correct VPD) • Strong stretch phase (week 3 flower from seed) This creates a high-consumption environment. EC isn’t high because we want it high. It’s high because: • They are eating. • They are stretching. • They are metabolically active. If EC were too high, we would see: • Uniform tip burn • Dark clawing • Slowed stretch • Salt stress patterns We are not seeing that. We are seeing appetite. Important note for readers: Not all plants should be fed like this. You must read your room before copying numbers. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — Light Haircut, Not Surgery They didn’t desperately need it. But: • The room was being reset • Airflow harmonization matters • Light penetration symmetry matters • Under-canopy exposure matters From the timeline: Before • Healthy canopy • Some interior shading • Early bud sites forming After • Clean lower third • Clear interior airflow • Defined tops • Light pathways opened I didn’t strip. I refined. This is maintenance defoliation — not panic defoliation. ⸻ 🌱 Structural Observations Check the photos: • Internode spacing moderate • Tops stacking evenly • Pistil clusters forming • Stretch still active but controlled • Stems thickening in response to light intensity They are transitioning from architecture phase into production phase. Week 3 from seed-flower timing means: They are slightly developmentally behind traditional veg-then-flip plants. Second real week of flowering completed with a very stable transition after the stretch phase. Plants have finished stretching and clear flower site formation is now visible across the canopy, with abundant white pistils and a very uniform structure. The environment has been kept well controlled throughout the week, running temperatures around 24–25 °C, relative humidity close to 50–55%, and a stable VPD in the 1.4–1.5 kPa range. This has allowed proper transpiration without any signs of stress. Root zone temperatures remained in the optimal range, around 20–21 °C, supporting healthy root activity. In terms of lighting, PPFD was progressively increased to around 850–880 µmol/m²/s, resulting in a DLI of approximately 38–39 mol/m²/day. This is a high but safe level for this stage, always supported by a balanced environment. Plant response has been very positive, with no signs of light stress. Nutrition has been gradually adjusted toward flowering, maintaining a good balance between continued growth and floral development. EC has been stable around 1.1–1.2 mS/cm with a pH close to 6.3. Leaves remain healthy with good turgor and overall color, with slight tonal variations that are normal during this transition phase. Overall, a very solid week: vigorous plants, well-formed structure, and a clean, healthy start to flower production. Everything is set up perfectly to enter week 3, where the focus will be on consolidating early bud development while maintaining environmental and root-zone balance.
