Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Hey guys! Sorry for the late update, I've been hella busy lately! 😱 This week was good and for that very reason it was uneventful. I did some defoliation to let the lower branches receive more light and it seems the plants received it well. 😁 Matcha still has some weird looking leaves 😰 but I suppose those are old leaves and they are just there because I didn't cut them earlier. Pistachio in another hand is doing great! 😍 I also took some photos of their roots, they look interesting! I suppose they are that way because the root mass below them must be huge. End of week 4 marking around the half way point as both strains both have 8-9 week flower periods. Runtz Muffin #1 already looks like it's going to have more of a longer airy bud structure compared to the others

Defoliated and in its flowering pot, switched to 12/12 on day 35 she's stretching out nice. Will start feeding from week 7.

8/2/25 she seems extremely happy and very vigorous in her new controlled environment

Very dense and sticky buds with a little purple in them , she smells very good too, looking forward to her taste

Hello fellow buddlovers! It is my great pleasure to announce the start of week 3! All our competitors are looking healthy and strong! Today we begin to nourioush our little Padawans into becoming true committed servants of JAH. They had have a taste of God forbidden fruits of nutrition from Gold Label such as root boost and soil a/soil b and some supplements for desert from humbolt county's own Ultra snow & Cal mag. To inspire the growth and the quality of the beauty sleep we replaced old CO2 bag with a new one. Glads me to see that our soldiers are doing really good. They have growth from 17cm(day 15) to 20cm(day 17) in just 2 days since i fed them. Really looking forward to see the full veggie bloom out. Yours own Glada Minnen! Don't be shy to ask anyting :).

There is very little to do with the plants, they are getting fatter by the day and frostier by the day. I found out I was giving them way too much nutrient so I started giving them 0.4 EC less (its still a work in progress). The lights are still on 85%. It is starting to smell more and more sour and there is also a fresh lemon smell coming from it now.

Caught up... things are going well, Bruce stretched like crazy and has evened up its canopy to the others idk if it's that big bud in it or what. Lilac has looked a solid week and half ahead of the others since flower, she looks wicked though, trichromes are starting to build. I've done my last training, I usually go hard on thinning but I'm trying to be conservative and only uncover buds under leaves. Still same feeding routine.. looking forward to the finish line but know this is an important time with terms and trichromes beginning to resonate... I sick at this guy's but I want to get better at chronicling my grows.. so hourly I will improve in the process of Journaling.

***Note that I started to count the days when I placed the seeds between paper towels. The seeds were planted 3 days later and sprouted from the ground 2 days after being planted. D80 (13/05/2021): I'm looking at the trichomes every other days. Glue Gelato is starting to show amber on top buds. No amber for Banana Kush and Gelato. This time I will chop them all at the same time so the one I will rely on is the Glue Gelato. As soon as she is ready, I will harvest them all. Banana Kush and Gelato would probably need more, but in term of logistic, I need to harvest all my plants at the same time. D83 (16/05/2021): Not ready yet. I'm checking trichomes closely! 😬 - Light: the lights are at 100% and at 12 inch form the plants. - Temperature: during the day: 24-25C ; during the night: 20C. - Humidity: the humidity is maintain around 46-48% all the time. - Air circulation: There is an oscillating fan on the ground, one fixed fan pointing on top of the canopy and one fixed fan to help cool the lights. - Water: I gave water every other day or when the ground feel dry or the pots feels light. - ***IPM: I never mention it but I'm using nematodes pouch as an integrated pest management. I had trouble with pest in my first grow and I learned from it. That's the only thing I do for pest and of course watching closely and regularly at my plants 😊

5/27 curious to see where this week ends up at 5/29 the one plant indoors is packing on weight. The one I put outside to finish (possibly stupid) seems to be maturing faster but bulking slower. She's seemed healthy this whole time. Not even a burnt leaf tip 5/31 attempting to take pictures in different lighting to get a better idea for yall viewers

Well, that day has come, the girl would have been really different if not for the high temperature, strong light, and a huge lack of potassium :( well, everything will be fine next time :) live and learn :) I am satisfied with the result, which is what I need :) got 200 gr of liquid :) gathered a lot of sugar leaf :) they are already in the sweet shop :D I will make an addition!! good growth and success :)
