A 4 hour planned power outage in my area gave me the excuse to flip the girls. Kept the lights off for a cycle then immediately went 12/12. Although the temperature dropped to a root freezing 58°F, the reservoir didn't have a chance to fluctuate much and I also kept my air pumps running for an extra hour and a half off my computer backup battery! The battle with root rot is basically over. I am taking care to rinse the roots every once and a while. Growth has been amazing! Loving DWC! It also gives me things to do as I lie to pay attention to my plants. Doing a thorough clean with H2O2 every res change. PPM is around 800-900. Drops fast now. Every two days I check PH and correct if necessary. Usually it's been around 6.2-6.3 when I check. I PH it back down to 5.8. I've heard that flowering is a little on the acidic side so I'm planning on dropping my PH to 5.5-5.6. Did a major defoliation after this diary entry. Will do another in three weeks. Day 73, 25th of November 2020: Hi! Well they are getting nice maturing buds getting bigger and all good. I love the red colour of the Red Hot Cookies. Unfortunately, Tropicanna Poison and Red Mandarnine does not show any signs of purple or red colour. Kalini Asia neither albeit, the bonsai version gets purple. Gelato is little beauty. So yes, basically not much to say. Fertilization is still the same every second day with the ratio and mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.

Day#37 update: i finally made her beg for her water . The way all her leaves are hanging at a downward angle , then in the 1st video if you look you can see her “drooping” leaves begin to “pray” stand themselves back up. O watered her to run off then did a life-medium defoliation instead of a super heavy one like I planned and then I “ponytailed” each of her main tops to allow the other nodes to become strong to produce more branching . Day#40Update: the re-growth from defoliating & pony tailing has been decent . On one or two she’s trying her hardest to break out of the tie. I’ll release her from the ponytails later today & we’ll see where we are in two days for day #42 week 6 The plan is still to top all her main tops after untying the ponytails . Day#42 Update : end of week #6 she’s growing so evenly and well that I ru still don’t see a benefit in topping. These lateral sode branches are growing for what they know . She’s a squat plant for sure but man is she full. She’s been in this one gallon since day #9 so it’s been 33 days she should be asking for food soon . I’m debating on top dressing her in the one gallon or up-potting during a transplant for her . Part of me wants to skip forward straight to a 6gall pot but part of me is saying to “punish” her a little more and leave her in this pot a few more weeks .

PK boost was added for this week as lower fans were starting to show serious PK deficiency. Defoliated about 25% of each plant, basically the lower fans/growth that was not getting light. Added some CFLs in a tent dark spot

4/15/25 Things are progressing nicely. Some plants dont seem to be doing too much but 3 of them or so that are really standing out. Im curious if some of these are going to be longer flowering time than anticipated with the very obvious sativa dominant plants.

Plant is growing strong, good growth this week. Did a seaweed foliar spray earlier in the week. Thinking about one more week of veg then flipping this plant to 12/12 and start the flower. Thanks for looking.
