Aug 30: very hot for the Labour Day weekend. Defoliated some upper fan leaves that were growing inward and blocking sunlight. Buds need direct sun to ripen. Sep 2: heat wave has past but now we have smoke for a couple of days. Decreased water volume from 9 L/day when it was hot to 5-6 L/day now.

Week 3 of flower, she is going good.

She’s a beautiful girl! Super healthy and filling out nicely! Nose on her is incredible and only getting better!

got some nice smell now! shes growing slowly but surely. have some nice little flowers and they are slowly growing. another 2-3 weels until harvest. cant wait!

I chopped her down after taking a closer look at the trichromes, she was quite amber on some buds and I did make sure to check the calyxes, not the sugar leaves. Didn't want to risk over opening her, and I'm already nervous about drying so. Better to get it over with no? Low and slow. 60%rh and 60°F. My cheap equipment is struggling to keep the tent there, but it's chugging along. Anything id buy won't get here in time to save the harvest, so if it gets overdried.. it gets overdried. Its a bummer but what'll you do. This was a very educational experience for me, and my second plant (check out my new diary) will hopefully preform much better! Kudos!

End of course for this Persian Prince project! Unfortunately, he failed to cut short this flowering a few days in advance following the start of a pest attack. Our two beautiful ones would have certainly enjoyed crunching life with full roots for another week, but prudence forced us to cut a little prematurely. Never mind, our flowers have dried for 10 days and are now ready to begin their maturing period in a jar. Despite these conditions, which are very well known to them, our Persian Princes still present impressive characters: the buds are huge, covered with a thick layer of trichomes and very fragrant. In terms of flavors, cheesy dominates 🧀 the two phenos smell strongly of semi-roller/Emmental style hard cheese, definitely the dominant aroma, for one of our two plants it is the only aroma that I am capable of to raise. The other phenotype is more complex, on the salty-cheesy smell a fresher and tangy/lemony smell is superimposed, very pleasant and different from its sister and at the same time linked to it by its common dominant cheesy aroma. Every thing has been going well, plants looking very lush, & healthy, put on a bit of a stretch, added 2nd scrog net to train them through as they stretched. Been busy lollipoping & defoliating lower growth to allow more air & light through. Removed a lot of lower popcorn branching & lower bud sites, so they can now focus & send all their energy to the top bud sites. Going very well.

Hi growmies, unfortunately I skipped a day checking on the reservoir and the plant must have consumed a lot more water than expected, probably due to the heat we are experiencing where I live, since I realized tip burn getting worse everywhere I checked the ec, which was close to 3 😳, topped up with RO water right away and this seems to have stopped it. Other than that I don’t think it bothered the plant too much either, as she keeps on swelling bigger and bigger. A&B fertilizer was reduced already and once, either next week or the one after I’ll start flushing, depending on the stage of ripening.

11/3 - Today is technically the first day of Week 5 and also the first day I could see a visible drop in her water level since her last check-in (~12 hours apart). As a result, her ppms shot up to around 800. I diluted the solution with straight tap (7.5pH, 170ppm) since her pH was registering around 5.3. This brought her up to 5.6pH and 670ppm (1.0ec + tap, 500ppm of nutrients). I would have liked to adjust her pH more, but the water level ended up at the bottom of the basket. I'll adjust further as necessary. The other day while attempting to LST her top branches, they ended up snapping off, so I just topped her down one node and broadened her other LST to make her as squat as possible. Once I am able to find a suitable individual ScrOG screen, I will put it on her. 11/4 - I wasn't even planning on doing an update today, but I want to note a few changes. The first of which is a visible difference between her foliage density in a span of 36 hours. Her root bundle is over a foot long and getting more wound up every day. I removed her LST ties in order to take advantage of the ScrOG screen apparatus (see notes below). After lights came back on, she measured 645ppm and had another notable drop in water level. Currently, I am preparing another nutrient solution that closely matches what she is feeding on now. I will be upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket. I will be aiming for 1ec of nutrients/additives (500ppm + Tap on my meter, Hanna Primo .5 conversion). Tap measured 180ppm, so target ppm would be 680. Later that same day... So I finished upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket before I actually got done writing the update. Added one photo showing new 5 gallon setup. Solo ScrOG test mk1 - In an attempt to do a ScrOG, but maintain control over each bucket, while still having relatively easy access to each reservoir, I decided to throw together this little contraption. I removed the lowest complete segment of a tomato cage, leaving a short "tail" beyond the lower ring to act as a peg to insert into corresponding holes in the lid. The lower ring is 10" in diameter and the upper is approximately 12" in diameter. Each ring is 11" apart. I would prefer to have a shorter segment, but I haven't worked out exactly how to do this yet. I would prefer to set the screen height at around 6" above the bucket instead of 11". This will have to suffice for the time being while I let my latent conscious work out a solution or one is provided by the community. Above each cage will sit a coated wire fence with grids measuring ~2"x3", as shown in the above picture. 11/5 - Uploaded short video showing Solo ScrOG Apparatus in place. Welcome to week 7 of my first Grow diary. Unfortunately it has rained a lot this week, but the temperatures have risen again. On Sunday we had perfect weather, which I would like to have all the time. The plant is growing bushier from day to day, which has made LST a little more difficult for me. Apart from a bit of aphid infestation, which I fought with neem oil, everything is going well. This week I fertilised with nettle manure again. I completely forgot to give you an update on the cuttings. A week after I cut them I unfortunately discovered mould and had to dispose of them. I really like the weather forecast for next week. Cash Express 03.01.2025 Tag 36 / 11.02.2025 Die 5. Wochen ist erreicht ! Die zwei Pflanzen haben alles gut überstanden, in der Zwischenzeit habe ich die Cash Express in ein größeren Topf gesetz. Nach meiner Beurteilung haben sie eine gesunde Höhe und Breite erreicht, man erkennt gut wo später die Blüten entstehen. Ich nehme gerne Ratschläge von der Community an.

They bounced back great after breaking some necks, I’ll add one more layer of trellis a foot above each of these to seperate new growth but otherwise we just let it ride to harvest from here. Adding mammoth microbes at .6 ml/gal also. For veg just use b1/b2 at 5g/gal same for clones. Start microbes with clones through flower.

It's doin its thing. Smells great, skunky cheese but creamy. Not bad given i jammed it in a corner and hsted by breaking the branches to make it spread n fit.

This plant was outstanding was with the other two that caught a little bit of powdery mildew but this one did not show a sign at all so I would say it is very resistant to powdery mildew. It was the smallest grower but produced the biggest yield and the prettiest flowers. She will sit and cure and I will update with the smoke once I am ready. But other than that I would see the stunted growth is cultivator error as they are my first auto flowers I was very careful not to overwater so I very well might have underwater. So I will experiment with a little bit more water next time and maybe a 20-4 light cycle.
