Why you Should buffer your Coco. Lets get to reading! (Its Worth it for those that dont know about it) There are cation exchange sites in coco that will interfere with nutrition until they are buffered. The cation exchange sites in coco naturally come loaded with sodium (Na) and potassium (K) cations. However, the Na and the K are only weakly held to the exchange sites. In the presence of calcium (Ca) or magnesium (Mg), the sites will release their Na or K cations and lock onto the Ca or Mg. These processes are known as “cation exchanges”. Buffering coco is accomplished by soaking it in Ca and Mg. This allows the cation exchanges to take place prior to adding plants. Simply soak your coco in a solution of Cal/Mag water and the exchange sites will release their K and Na cations and lock onto the Ca and Mg. When the cation exchange sites bond with Ca and Mg rather than Na and K, it is “buffered”. The bonds that hold the Ca and Mg to the sites are very strong and cation exchange will largely stop. This means that all of the nutrients that you add to the water will be available to the plant at the ratios that you provide them. 2. Alot of growers Grow in Unbuffered coco coir and its a big mistake guys, I myself was a "victim"😬of unbuffered coco and it does cause alot of problems... now i am going to try and fix them! -----GROWING IN UNBUFFERED COCO--- Many growers are unaware of the need to buffer the coco and they try to grow plants in unbuffered coco. In unbuffered coco, the cation exchange sites will strip the nutrient solution of the Ca and Mg and replace those cations with Na and K. This creates a sub-optimal Nutrient Element Ratio (NER) and renders Ca and Mg unavailable to the plant. Failing to buffer the coco is why so many growers suffer calcium deficiencies in coco grows. Manufacturers of prepared coco products try to exploit these problems and convince growers that only their proprietary products are suitable for growing. However, it is actually very simple to properly buffer your coco yourself. This tutorial walks you through the process and provides all the information you need to turn even the cheapest brick of dehydrated coco into a superior growing medium. So i had to take all my plants inside because i found bud rot on 2 of them & the weather wasn’t going to get any better, had to transform my bedroom into a grow room😂 & i have 2 more plants which i am going to finish next to a window.. The smaller plant to the right is a Northern light by zamnesiaseeds that has a seperate diary if you are interested! I really hope the bud rot doesn’t spread anymore & if anyone has any tips or tricks for that they are always welcome!

20/02: The plants are overall reacting well to the larger dose of nutrients especially the ignitor - there are lots of bud sites throughout. I was under watering some plants which has resulting in wilting stems and leaves - will move onto 1 litre of water every other day from next week. 1 OG kush and 1 White Widow is lagging behind but we'll get there. Good strong stalks mostly for all the plants. Gave the a hefty defoliation this week also trimming the fan leaves and letting light penetrate the lower branches and bud sites.

The autos are flowering and just loving the sun. They are drinking daily. What a difference the sun makes. The others are moving soon. Gorilla is ready. Slurricane is ready to be cloned. So I must find time to set up the cloner. Maybe I'll go old school with it. Once I top her she will start branching. This is what we need more clones. I've been having trouble with seeds, got some more coming. I just dont have the time or energy to take care of them. That is obviously the problem here. The fluctuating humidity from 10% to 99% doesn't help.

The Bruce Banner girls went wild this week! 💪 At the start of the week, all three were sitting on IFCO crates to even out the canopy, but #2 stretched so much that she had to be moved down to the floor. She’s officially the tallest now and really taking off.🚀 #1 started stretching more as well and keeps growing strong, while #3 is still a bit smaller but catching up nicely.🌿 All three look healthy and vibrant — deep green color, no signs of stress or deficiencies.💚 They got a light defoliation this week, just removing a few big fan leaves that were shading lower budsites.🍃 A proper defoliation will come once the stretch phase is over. All girlz are doing well. I'm not sure how many more weeks until ready to harvest. I get different information from different websites. Run off water is 5.9 on three plants and one was 5.7 Now that the plants are larger I noticed that I mislabled two of the when I first planted them.

Harvest pics. In the glass jar is pineapple gummy. Same breeder as the lilt. I forgot that I popped one of these seeds it was the last from the pack. The hanging dry pic is the rest of the pineapple gummy it was close to the gavita light and was very hairy. The big top next to it is the top of the lilt plant grown under the mars hydro 150w led light. When the feds choped it all down the lilt was given an extra week than the top which was cut off im absolutely pissed about that I didnt use a carbon filter I think the smell got a bit too strong will be back soon live and learn

26.07 Moved the girls to 7l pots. About 5 l of medium coco/perlite 70/30. They will be rooting for a couple of days with gentle light around 400 ppfd. Co2 - 600-800ppm

Finally! it's the Day I've waited for and now i can't believe it's actually done. The plant is hanging in the tent, looking so good. Like she is the prettiest plant i've ever grown. I don't know how to show it better on pictures, but i just upped my weed quality. Super dense, super frosty, SUPER LOUD! 10/10 I LOVE this strain! i can't imagine her being cured hahahaha Thank you, Fast Buds for providing me the seeds!
