🌱 Animal Mints — Week 6 From Seed (≈ Week 2 Flower / Pre-Flower Phase) Quick Recap for New Readers This run includes multiple Animal Mints plants, all treated similarly, but we’re mainly cataloging two reference plants to clearly show how timing affects structure and development: • Plant A → 12/12 from seed • Plant B → ~15 days under 16/8 veg, then flipped to flower Same genetics, same room, same feeding — different timelines. That’s the whole experiment. ⸻ Plant A vs Plant B — Why Two Plants? • Plant A (12/12 from seed) • More compact • Slower early structure • Responds very well to gentle leaf bending and light training • Still stretching and stacking nicely • Plant B (short veg period) • Bigger frame • More developed branching • Further along in flower at the same “seed age” • Took light cleanup / lollipopping better This small veg window made a huge difference in structure and flower progression, and that’s exactly why we’re documenting both. ⸻ ✂️ Canopy Work (No Heavy Defoliation) This week we did selective leaf removal, not a true defoliation: • Opened airflow and light paths • Removed shaded or blocking leaves • Light lollipopping on Plant B only • Plant A kept mostly intact, just leaf bending and spacing Goal wasn’t stress — it was space, airflow, and efficiency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day Temp: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on height & position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm (now stabilizing around 909 ppm) As outside temps stayed cooler, the room naturally became its own heat source: • Increased plant mass • Higher light intensity • Under-canopy lighting added No forced heaters. No extremes. Just letting the system balance itself. 🌬️ Airflow • Vortex extraction • Multiple cross-flow fans • Constant gentle movement No leaf chaos — just steady motion. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks a clear transition phase. • EC: ~2.4 • pH: 6.5 (transitioning down — all feeds now 6.0+) Why Higher pH Right Now? As plants move into flower, nutrient demand shifts: • Better Ca / Mg uptake • Stronger phosphorus & potassium availability • Root activity increases Slightly higher pH at this stage supports structural growth and flower formation, especially under higher light and CO₂. Salut les copains 👍👍 Bon semaine 5 de floraison, et je vais attaquer bientôt le rinçage . Les plante on fortement gonflé c'est dernier jours. Aujourd'hui nous sommes au jour 61 du cycles des plantes . Comment dire que la GC reste la meilleur variétés que j'ai pu faire . Et aujourd'hui je ne suis pas déçu . La Strawberry et vraiment une surprise de dingue moins haute mais bien plus dense en Bud c'est impressionnant. L'odeur des deux et juste inexplicable 😍

Day 50 - Starting week 8 now and getting more and more pistils so going to say this is the start of week 1 of flower. Didn’t really have to do much with her but she is starting to go through water pretty quick so upped the watering to a gallon and a half, along with nutes. I noticed a couple of leaves with a little calcium deficiency starting to added Cal-Mag to nute mixture. Day 51 - Everything is looking good with this girl and not much going on today. I removed a couple GIANT fan leaves and will continue removing some of the bigger ones every few days. Her canopy is almost perfectly even and looking like this will end up being a pretty decent harvest. Day 52 - Nothing much new today, this girl is getting pretty damn huge. Just really took her out to check if she needs water and got some updated pictures. She should be ready for some water and nutes tomorrow. Placed her back into the tent and tucked as much as I could to get all the sites getting lights. Day 53 - She’s been going through the water and nutes recently so I upped her from 1 gallon of water to 2 and gave her that with nutes today. She’s definitely starting her stretch and with her having a nice even canopy, this girl should end up being a beauty. Day 54 - Nothing much new today, just took her out for some updated pictures. Put her back into the tent and tucked as much as I could. I want to remove some fan leaves but she’s doing really good right now and I don’t want to stunt her in any way. Day 55 - She’s starting to take off and stretching big time. She added about 1.4 inches in about 24 hours or so and she’s really smelling sweet. Going through water like crazy too so will give her water and nutes tomorrow. Placed her back in the tent and did a bit of leaf tucking. Day 56 - The end of week 8 and the girl was thirsty today so gave her 2 gallons of water and nutes. Gonna let her soak that up for a bit and probably remove a couple big fan leaves tomorrow so she’ll be opened up a bit more.

This week was when I first recognized that there was something wrong.... Initially I only realized that the stems of my little girl were slightly bent downward. In some cases I have experienced this orientation when a plant is exhausted and about to got through its sleeping period but, this seemed different. In the following days I began to notice that the lower leaves were beginning to fade, the stems began to turn red, and still the leaves were bending downward and not praying to the light! At first I just figured that my plant was in need of a feeding and transplanting to a larger container but, after doing a bit of research I realized that the I may have been experiencing a phosphorus deficiency. From my understanding I knew that these plants require nutrients that is high in nitrogen during the vegetative part of its life however, I did not realize that it's still needed an adequate amount of phosphorus in this stage too. As I mentioned perviously, I decided to reuse my soil for this grow and as a result of sterlization my growing medium no longer had any nutrients to offer my plant at the time. I believe this is the reason I began to see signs of deficiencies and going forward if I ever reuse my medium again I will make sure to re-amend it before using it. *I also topped the plant at the 5th node this week as well*

25day Grow... 25-27cm beautiful Girls. The last day of growth, 25 days and I switch to a flower..

Lower leaves died and so I needed to defoliate plants grew quite a bit in this stage and preflowering shows they are girls temp dropped outside finally and so dehumidifier is constantly running. With a nice 78 degrees 50 rh

Plants are looking good. Hope they get a little thiccer.

The Bubble OG plants are looking really good. They're all pretty big and have a similar structure. It'll be fun to see how they develop their own personalities as they keep growing. Well, another year has come and gone. Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy 2025. May this year bring you all the things you've been wishing for. So, guys.. This is her first month blooming. 4 complete weeks has passed. Here we are for 2 more. Gave Her a super powerful egg shell fert (all powdered - Phosforium Whelthy.) 07/10/20 - We are in the middle of week 5. Thats the way they look like. For me a good number of buds and they are as dense as I thought they would be by this time. I think everything is under control despite some foxtails cuz the heat. Loving the experience.

This week has been fairly chill. Had a couple unwanted moths trying to vibe on my lights but hey, you can't blame em I guess. Watering has been fairly frequent but no real jump in intake of water. Not 100% sure when I should start the flush but will most likely make a grow question thingy about it in the near future. Other than those minor things the plant has been doing fine!

Las ramas de abajo estan creciendo que es lo que quería va como lo tenía planeado a tenido algún problema lo he notado x las hojas pero lo va superando muy bien aquí tiene 25dias de vida. Es toda una bestia nunca había puesto Indoor y nunca había puesto kritical Bilbo es mi primera vez de indoor de seguimiento y de todo siempre he plantado en guerrilla o balcón. No mido ph ni ec ni nada esta a 18 horas de luz 6 de oscuridad la pasaré a florecer en unos días cuando note que se ha recuperado del todo y las ramas de abajo crezcan un poco más para poder atarla y abrir bien la base de la planta es lo que hago con todas mis plantas, recordár que cuando era pequeñita le pode el primer nudo y luego el segundo. Tiene 25 días actualmente creo que cuando haga 30 la pasaré a horario de floración

I did some trimming this week. The plant grows well and healthy. I didn‘t use any nutrients because of the slight burn last week. Next week I am going to transplant the plants in their final pot and prepare them for flower at week 6. 🌴🍪

Still only giving them water at ph6. 5 The soil I started them in is a full strength soil. House and garden bat special 🦇💪👍 Some people say I shouldn't plant seeds direct into full strength soil, I've been doing it for 20 years and never had any issues . Each to there own I say 👍

Day 41, start of week 7 tomorrow!

Plants are responding well, still on a very light regimen, using only compost tea, declorinated tap water. Stem is thick, and strong, has a many colas shooting up with minimal training at the moment. Leaf color is vibrant, and dark. Using compost tea in the third watering as usual. > Compost tea with a twist #3 - 1 cup earth worm castings -1/4 of a cup bokashi -5 tsp recharge -1 tsp shell flour -1 tsp azomite Did not have organic molasses so preferred not to put anything, as the recharge and the bokash i use have some, originally is better to use some in pure form like 1/3 of a cup. EC after 24h is around 0.5 - 0.6, ph close to neutral. So used in pure form, possible to dilute if needed. So far I did not PH the water, only filtering it, gave a bit up on RO for now as the water discard is just insane... probably takes 2 gallons + to make one pure... Just not ecologic... so I have detached the membrane for now and am using two filtering steps, carbon and another one... This diary is probably the nightmare of any nutrient company. Note that Recharge is not needed or azos, I’m using because I have laying around here, a substitute would be some sprout seed tea. My choice for the organic, was to be able to abort ph, have a cleaner product, try something new, and reuse my soil...
