Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. the buds are getting thicker and the odour more intense. it's my first almost buds and i'm really impressed by her performace. she's currently still getting biobizz top-max and she seems to like that and lots of sun. :)

These 2 ladies go their separated ways, 1 stays lower but branching good and slightly paler green, the other dark green leaf and more height to it. But the branches go slower. Rather impressed by the 2 hindus, who got like 4 to 5 days less than the sweet chees xl, and they are overtaking in growth now. Thats it for this week Grow tall!🍀🍀🍀

Hello fellow growers! 🌱 Despite a few bumps along the way, I'm thrilled to share that my contest journey is officially underway. After some delivery hiccups with the controller, the third attempt was the charm – it finally made it to my doorstep! 🚚💨 The initial excitement hit a snag when I faced issues connecting the controller. 🤔 Thankfully, the fantastic support team guided me through the troubleshooting process, and voila! 🛠️ My controller is now up and running smoothly. * ***************** Week 3 of Growth From Seed, April 25 to May 1, 2020 - Days 15 to 21 from germination ********************** * Started the head scratching more this week and wondering what is going on with the slower growth she has experienced the last 4 days or so. She is looking good and not dark....environment is good.....what the heck is the pH so high when been given feed well inline and below 6.0......why runoff numbers in low 7's so early in the run?? A number of heavy feedings this week so that I can read the runoff numbers for her. Going to keep staying the course with feeding but lower the pH because she is still progressing and its still pretty early in the run........not much veg time for an auto though so I need to get this figured out pretty soon. Gave her some Epsom salts this week as well as I have been battling Magnesium deficiency the last run or two. Always just used CalMag but I don't think the girls always want as much Calcium as they are given this way though. Fed at a rate of 1tsp/gal in a two litre feed early on in the week. Little more Detail........... Apr 25/20, Day 15 - 500ml feed - VitaThrive and Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml - 700ppm and 6.0pH - small feed of base nute to try and perk her up. - noticed the lower leaves are droopy while the upper leaves are perky still. - Still working on dialing the light for these girls as they are happier at 30" away from canopy. Apr 26/20 - Day 16 - 500ml feed - AN Sensi Cal @ 1.5ml, Sensyzime @ 2ml, Epsom Salt @ 1tsp/gal - 700ppm and 6.0pH - The Epsom Salt alone shot the ppm to 500 - Only have the veg switch on for the UnitFarm light. - feeling some of the other girls are showing some magnesium deficiency with the yellowing perimeter of the leaves. Apr 27/20 - Day 17 - dry out day - Cut slits in the bottom of the bag today to let more water out, more quickly when feeding. - Wondering if the root zone is staying too wet and therefore causing some stunted growth. - She has been falling a sleep too early in the day so either too much light or getting root bound? Apr 28/20 - Day 18 - needing some runoff numbers to see what the hell is going on - fed 3L - Piranha @ 1ml, VooDoo @ 2ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml - going in was 575ppm and 5.3pH - runoff numbers were 1450ppm and 6.9pH - WTF......bring it down......next feed at only 500ppm and 5.0pH to lower her?? - leaf colour is perfect. Stems are a little immature yet, but side branching is coming out stronger. Apr 29/20 - Day 19 - 8L feed - Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml = 325ppm and 5.0pH - runoff after the watering was 500ppm and 7.0pH - WTF.....expected it to be more in the 6.5pH range and not that high still? - KK looked worse off, still droopy, after this than the other girls did. Lack of oxygen in root zone with so much water? Its coco though shouldn't be for too long. Apr 30/20 - Day 20 - dry out day - KK likes it a little dryer in her medium.....she perked up more today and looking a lot better. - She has had more vertical growth the last day and she is spacing out some of her nodes. - Her stem is thicker and she is getting stronger. - Still a week behind though in my opinion and they should have been this size a week ago. Apr 31/20 - Day 21 - dry out day - she has done very well the last two days and going to keep riding that wave, didn't water today. - She has certainly gotten taller and wider.......getting her back on track? That will wrap up this puzzling week........pH is not staying low after being brought down......shoots back up over 7 in only 24 hours idea. Working on it Growmies. Welcome to 📅 Day 1 of veg 3/15/2021 as you can see the seedling has grown a lot she had a 1 inch root sticking out the bottom already so I know the root starter was working. If you look close you can see she has her first true leaves and that's when I say day 1 of veg has started. I will do the video tomorrow germination under the mars hydro TS 1000 was a dream the dimming gives it a hand up over my Aglex light.
