Week 2: Light Struggles, First Adjustments & the Patience Test Update: 14.03.25 Good morning, grow fam! Week 2 of my photoperiod journey is running – a mix of challenges and small wins. Here’s a look at the early days of my Blueberry and Durban Poison seedlings. Current Observations: Light Deficiency & Stretching Stems The first days post-germination were intense: The seedlings developed extremely long, thin stems (check the photos!), a clear sign of insufficient light. Since I’m intentionally avoiding extra lighting to save resources, I had to improvise: - Tray Rotation: I rotate the seedling tray multiple times a day to ensure even exposure to the weak March sunlight. - DIY Support: For the most stretched seedlings, a bent wire acts as a crutch to prevent them from collapsing. Interestingly, the tomato and cucumber plants in the same tray show no issues – their stems stay compact. Seems like veggies are better adapted to low-light conditions than cannabis! Nutrients & Alfa Boost: An Experiment Even though my Biobizz Lightmix should provide enough nutrients for the first weeks, I tested a sample of Alfa Boost (freebie from the grow shop) during watering. The product claims to boost roots and stress resistance – perfect for my light-stressed babies. So far, no negative reactions, but no explosive growth either. Slow Growth – No Cause for Concern The plants are growing just millimeters per day, but that’s okay. My focus is on building sturdy, resilient plants, not speed. Once days get longer and sunnier, growth should pick up. They’ll stay indoors until mid-May anyway – plenty of time to bulk up. Next Steps & Tweaks - Transplanting in 1–2 Weeks: Once the first true leaf pairs emerge, they’ll move to small pots with my Biobizz All-Mix blend. - First Topping Soon: Once the plants hit 4–5 nodes, I’ll top them to encourage bushier growth. Week 2 Takeaway: Patience is key! Even in suboptimal conditions, I trust Dutch Passion’s resilient genetics. Fingers crossed for greener progress next week. All round a very good plant to grow , one of them stretched but I lollypopped and topped it late into flower due to outgrowing my tent and she took it well, producing absolutely top quality buds covered in milky thricomes and glistening all over the nuggs. Absolutely frosted. The smell at this point was around 7.8 smelling strong of orange and citrus , the main cola nice and dense, with lots of other colas branching off. Easy strain to grow to this point although I did have a calcium deficiency but it was fairly rectified.

Sanlight evo at 100% Day 71: Looks really good 👍 a couple of days now and then darkness 🤙 giving No water now... Day 73: well, that's IT🤗 The Journey Has come to an end.... 😢 Today I turned off the lights, sprayed purolyt. She will get 48 hours of darkness and then cut and hung..

Quick update. Everything is going pretty well, it's growing quickly. 😉✌️

Start of Week 4 begins tomorrow, unfortunately I'll be out of town. I've been removing branches, but in the last 3 or so days I've stopped removal. It's time for these girls to really start stacking. ran out of potassium silicate. Will be continuing with out it for the rest of the grow. Started to notice a slight smell when leaving the door open and returning after a few minutes. This started in the last couple days

Thursday, July16th. Solocup Challenge 2020. @Silky_smooth asked me to Participate. and well why not Iam always open to new Challenges, And I think It will be challengeing. Never grown in a Solocup Before So Iwas thinking a While wich Strains i should take, And i decided to take good growers and resiliant ones. I´ve chosen 3 Strains , 1 Photoperiod and 2 Automatics "Rock Machine" from Doctor´s Choice I started like always in soaking the Seed I took a Bavarian Beerjug called " a hoibe Maß" , its a 0.5l Jug I am thinking about tthe Drainage Material i should take Claypebbles? Claygranules? Mesh? Perlite=? So Pls tell me what you prefer,,,, thy Friday Seed went under a wet Kitchensponge Saturday Seed cracked, Sunday Seeds were Planted. I took Claypebbles and let them soak and wash them a little then into the Jug and some additional Perlite Filled uo with my Soilmix and " Living Organics" Some drips of water.... done Friday# I forgot to update The seedling shows up... but still in the shell

The first picture day 44! Well, we've finally got the purple colours coming in very strongly! Even the fan leaves are turning purple. The progression of the pigment looks like a pathogen has taken over but it's just the cool genetics of this plant. Smell is increasing, they have a very sweet odor so far when crushing the flowers. Still nowhere near harvest but the buds and calyxes are starting to stack. Very exciting that I got this one to grow!

omg, another week has passed...... :) Day 100 - and then there was 11 Buds ....... lol Switched over to normal water on both ... smaller has been on water 1+ weeks ..... Endoscope arrives this week i hope..... harvested afew buds to fit it all in the tent and setup lights properly... trimmed em, wired em abit to support the weight of the buds.... I'll see how the endoscope results show, as to harvest...... i think growth slowed abit over last week or 2, because of poor light setup, not enough room in tent, and other grow 6400k led.... got a new tent on the way... 😎 Day 101 - Pics - edoscope, usb arrived... it's very good, but hard to stabalize / focus, i'll have to work out how to use it better...... the pics i posted were of a younger bud from the bottom..... i'm happy with the cloudy with amber, and harvesting.... 😎 Day 103 - vid of all trimmed and drying out upside down in tent. Day 105 - pics vids of drying and into curing.... i'll list all the test buds and buds i trimmed in the final harvest report.....😎

Alright, bad news ladies and gents, I got the bud rot. It’s been humid as hell here and I think the buds were way to dense and not drying. I noticed it by inspecting the buds. As bud rot rots from the inside out, I noticed a few “out of place” leaves on the buds that were brown. From my experience with late season bud rot last year I knew right away. I peeled open the bud and sure enough rot. I looked around a bit more and found it in a few more places, I decided right away to take the large buds, and leave some on the plant to mature. The big green behind the garage, I also found some on one bud, I cut and tossed it. The purple one has no rot yet, I think because of the spacing between the bud sites, it’s not dense. Anyway here is a partial harvest, and some bud rot pics. I’m letting them finish, I’ll just keep an eye on them. Pray for dry weather for me. Cheers.

Start of week 3 of flowering. This Do-si-dos girl is hungry! She's now up to 6 liters per feeding. Bud sites are developing nicely, added B52 to the feed this week.

I transplanted the plants into larger pots, the photoperiodic in a 50-liter pot filled with supersoil while the auto fractal by divine seeds in an 11-liter pot hoping there are no problems. Delay on the autoflowering, humidity at 75%, pH of the osmotic water 6.5, air conditioner 25 degrees, marshydro fc4800 .

Amazing structre, form, and build. Hardy and full of colas. These 2 are creating a absolute sea of flowers. I'm in love with these plants. Stacking away and its been all flowers. I'm just sitting back enjoying the show. They got treated with Dr zhymes as a preventative. That will basically wrap up their treatments ...possibly once more with lost coast. Upped the pk intake as they are blooming strong now. Gotta keep those engines well fuelled. Response was stellar. Happy happy happy ladies. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

This week marks the 7th week of flowering in my cannabis garden, and the plants are thriving beautifully. The buds are dense and covered in sparkling trichomes, showcasing their incredible development. Each day brings more resin production, giving the plants a frosty appearance that's truly a sight to behold. Highlights of Week 7: - Growth: The plants are still growing strong, with the buds becoming more substantial. - Trichomes: The trichomes are maturing, turning from clear to milky white, indicating that the potency is reaching its peak. - Health: The leaves are lush, and the garden's overall health is excellent. Welcome Back!💚 Die Sleepy Joe befindet sich nun in der sechsten Blütewoche und die Blütenbildung entwickelt sich wunderbar. Das Blattwerk habe ich nochmals ein bisschen ausgedünnt. Der Geruch hat sich auch nochmal stark intensiviert. Aktuell kommen starke Nuancen von süsslicheren düften, kombiniert mit Lösungsmittel oder ähnlichem hervor. The plants have limited space and are in 4 litre pots too keep them controlled. This week I defoliated again and started adding sugar royal.
