My overall impressions of this strain from MSNL: Ive noticed that MSNL genetics tend to switch to flower earlier than all the ther autos i've grown. The initial growth on the plant starts out small headed into flowering but then explodes during flowering. Because of this I start my feed at week 3 and I used the full NFTG advanced feed but only at 1/2 the recommended amounts of the early veg schedule they made. This works out well with these plants and by week 5 they can handle the full Nute schedule. A proper flush was needed at-least twice a week during the flowering period. It is a lot of work to maintain PH and soil PPM but its essential with the NFTG and if you do it right you WILL get rewarded with Danky goodness. Last time around I grew three plants and tried 3 different training techniques to see which method worked better for this strain. I learned that LST with minimal defoliation is the best route and I stuck with what I knew and im pretty sure it worked out great! I got nice uniform growth growth and 4 truly massive main bud stalks with very dense growth even below the canopy. I virtually had no popcorn nugs, I think I had one! I also contribute that to my NFTG nutrients and Spider Farmer sf2000 202 W qb, that thing kicked some serious ass during flowering, although it is relatively strong and some of my other autos seemed to be affected by the intensity but this Purple Hulk was very heat resistant through it all. Overall I would definitely recommend using LST to some extent with these genetics because of the small initial growth you will get at first. Start the nutes sooner than later. maybe week 3, but at half the strength. Feeding the soil would be a good idea right from the get go . Mammoth P is a cool microbe that targets phosphorus directly and recharge will slam pack your substrate with beneficial microbes and ive noticed a very clear difference after incorporating these into my NFTG feed. Another thing I did that seemed to help was weekly epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) sprays on top of my bloom khaos foliar sprays. I didn't deal with any deficiencies at all this time around following this feeding regiment 👌 I do not have taste/aroma info for this specific plant just yet but I will update this frequently with new information when I get it including dry weight, taste, and aroma, more photos, and overall impressions of its medicine. so please stay tuned!! A great week this week with their growth and colour. They have all got over their topping sessions and the trauma of being sat in just a cube while their fellow plants basked in their pots !!!. They have begun to grow overnight it seems and I now remember how NFT can go. Better be ready with some ties and tape for the bursts in growth. They are loving the mc at the rate I am using now alongside the shogun silicon and calmag too. No signs of tip burn or unhappiness so far. I snapped a coupke of branches during their supercropping but they certainly wint miss them I sont think. there ate so many good candidates for final colas now . Now the training can get underway. I want to flip them soon so the speed is the deciding factor as to when they get their flowering cycle. Have fun Growmies

Hello This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. Everyone is doing good here. They have overcome their repotting experience and are growing a bit now. Getting those top branches spread out and under that first rung of the cage. I'll push the smaller branches up through the middle of the plant while spreading out the upper branches. They are getting about 3/4 strength nutrient now. Still watering it down a bit. The seed description said these seeds produce big plants, so I'm doing what I can to keep the size down to manageable. Welcome growfessors to the harvest of Mandarin dreams! These 5 ladies got chopped down this week, the three pheno 1 strains have nice dense buds, very sticky! One pheno 2 is very fluffy, airy buds and the other pheno 2, is someplace in between, not rock hard, but close to it. Last time I'll be growing this strain, she was easy to grow, but not a smoke I enjoy, the indica hits harder as the buds cure and I'm not that interested in couch lock. Will update in 7-10 days with dry weight.

To be clear I flush with plain water for two days and use nutes on the 3rd. At this point the doses are tailored to each plant but the general count is correct. Added the lava lamp for root warmth and the good vibes; thanks Dave and Busters !

Love this strain and breeder, he is a Virginia based and local. Super easy to grow.

This Critical Purple Kush is getting close. I think I'm even starting to see some purples and reds just starting to come in. A little nervous because she's a particularly fast finisher it looks like and Id like to not harvest this with too much amber if i can help it. I don't see any yet, and still mostly clear trichomes. But most the stigmas are turned brown. I still see new white ones growing so she's not quite done yet. MY other plants arnt too far away. logistically for me its best to get everything harvested about the same time. This one may be able to be harvested next week. My Acapulco gold turned out to be an autoflower so wouldn't be too big a deal to put it in its place after i harvest. But normally i would have a plant ready to goin its place to go into veg for another few weeks. The main bottleneck is my drying area. I don't like running the ac more than i need too and if i get overlapping drying schedules I'm spending a lot of energy on drying. plus it makes my studio rather uncomfortable to work in so. I switched the lights to turn off 30 minutes sooner at the beginning of the week to help them transition. So 11.5/12.5 schedule this week. Following week is going to be dropped another 30 minutes to 11/13. I also want to start getting the temperatures a considerable amount lower than what they have been so that I do not off-gas my terpenes and negatively affect the potency and flavor. I been battling the humidity, with the plants drinking 6-8 gallons ever 2-3 days. I'm hoping reducing the light intensity as well as the duration will get them to drink a little less, and I can keep my vdp better in check.

Day 21 She looking strong and Healthy

This was my first time growing outdoors, and this variety did well in Eastern Ontario region. I started seeds indoors and put the mainlined plants in the garden in early May. They were done flowering September 27th. The plants were beautiful and purple. The flavour is sweet and earthy. This is remains my favourite variety. One thing I learned from this outdoor grow is that I need to allow more space between plants. One of these Purple Kush plants was choked out and didn't grow as well as she could have. Next year I'll do a better job.

Plants started getting real bushy a couple of days after topping. Low Stress Trained all the plants at the end of the week by tying them down using rubber coated garden wire to spread out the newly grown tops. Also spaced out each plant evenly on the tray and turned on the other 2 PB2000 LED lights I had ready to go.

She is also experiencing a general yellowing all over. I contacted Advanced Nutrients support and they consulted me to increase the feeding. Let’s see how it goes. On the other hand, she keeps growing buds. Looks like stunned a little. That’s why I am waiting another 2 days for lollipoping.

2 feet high by 20" wide. Watering daily, little less than a liter. PH still coming in close to 7, (+/- 0.3) Never over-water, have kept soil moist since seedling, letting it dry overnight. Always mix 0,50 ml / 1 L

Topped her to third node to prepare her for manifolding. Cut off the tip as well as the branches on the second node. Had to move the camera up again since she's growing so fast 😁

Wet yhe coir and put the seeds about 5-10mm deep. Took 3/4 days to germinate

10/21- Flower has begun!! I've been gradually removing growth from under the canopy that I dont anticipate will become sizeable buds. Now we wait for the stretch. Took a few clones to try my hand at that. Air is drying out big time lately. I'm probably going to have to give in and buy a humidifier because it's going to be essential to keep my buds from drying out too fast and keeping these plants in healthy rh range. Despite humidity swings, plants seem to be doing well across the board so I already have a leg up on my last grow. I sprayed for bugs as a precaution. Neem and peppermint Castille soap diluted in water was the choice. Left a residue on my plants though so live been keeping my light between 30-40% and gradually turning up the intensity each day until I reach where I was(70) I dont want to burn my leaves because I have treating for bugs before. I will add pictures this weekend. This is posted on Day one so there's really not too much change to show in the plants. Really excited to see how they develop over the next 2 weeks. 10/24 Added pics of two plants. I accidently deleted my shoot of GZ 2 and I don't feel like taking them out of the tent again because it's a bit of a pain with the net. It's much taller than it's sister and maybe the healthier plant at this point. Moby dick is a bush, very healthy even still. No real signs of flower yet. They do seem to be stretching a bit but when you look everyday it's hard to tell. I'm hoping to have a really nice canopy in a week.
