She smells good of sweet strawberries and also of typical glue 50/50. the first trichomes are turning amber so it really can't be long now. even the first seeds are getting color..fast girl 😎 that makes me happy... 85% of the time it was either cloudy or raining (at least half of all days)...bad weather test passed💪..without mold without anything despite the shitty messed up soil everything done right the girl ..very robust and really worth a try👍 under top conditions definitely worth a trip!!!! End of week 8 for medusa 1/5. Plant is looking beautiful with the LST. I will reduce thd nutrients week by week from now, ensuring for a clean finish without flushing. I still feel the veg time for these genetics are too short for big yields. I reckon it will yield around 60 grams. 2/5 was topped and will yield more by the looks of the amount of shoots compared to 1/5. Check my other diaries for the entire experiment. Watering 3L every 2/3 days Smell is very strong now. It will probably be ready in 3 weeks time

Day 36 / Week 6 Issues, Solutions & Defoliation Log 1. Issues & Root Causes: Acute Ca/Mg Lockout ("Formula 1" Effect): Pushing metabolism to the absolute redline (DLI 55, CO₂ 1200 ppm, 29°C) triggered a severe root zone acidification down to pH 5.5 alongside high EC (2.5). Heavy potassium cation competition combined with acidic media blocked calcium and magnesium uptake, causing necrotic rust spots on the leaves within 4 hours. *Dehumidifier Failure: The 12L dehumidifier was overwhelmed by peak transpiration from four mature plants in coco, dropping air and Leaf-VPD well below safe thresholds and stalling the transpirational pull. 2. Implemented Solutions: Substrate Reset & Buffering:** Flushed the pots with an input EC of 1.5–1.9 mS/cm cut with tap water to introduce a natural bicarbonate buffer. Runoff stabilized right inside the ideal target window for bloom: pH 6.1–6.3 and EC 2.2–2.4 mS/cm Climate Recovery (30L Dehumidifier Upgrade): Installed a heavy-duty 30L unit, bringing humidity down to ~54% and holding air VPD at 1.44–1.50 kPa, which delivers an ideal Leaf-VPD of ~1.25–1.35 kPa Light Intensity Relief: Dialed PPFD down to ~520 µmol/m²/s (DLI ~37 mol/m²/d) to halt photo-oxidation of damaged leaf tissue and allow vascular recovery. 3. Defoliation & Lollipopping: Under-Canopy Strip: Stripped the entire lower third of foliage directly up to the trellis net line. Pruning Non-Productive Growth:** Cleaned out all shaded popcorn/larf bud sites and removed necrotic leaves damaged during the lockout. Airflow Tunnel Established:** Created an open air channel underneath the canopy and around the elevated fabric pots, preventing stagnant humidity pockets and redirecting full hydraulic pressure to the primary top colas. Day 38 Netafim bow instaled. Day 39 Mastered pH stability. It was dificult but now runoff are pH 6.1 ec 3.5 No lockouts. Happy Day 42 Swapped out the empty CO2 bottle today after running dry on Day 41. Dialing in relative humidity and VPD in a fully sealed room has been quite a challenge, but parameters are finally locked in: temperatures consistently above 28°C and VPD rock-steady at 1.4 kPa. Really hoping it stays this stable now, as constant swings in humidity and VPD are far from ideal for the plants. Just hoping no other equipment dies on me like the dehumidifier did 6 days ago! Canopy is looking strong and ready for peak flowering. Netabow watering a great.

Strap yourselves in this is gonna be quite the revelation update. Day 33 - Northern Lights This girl is fast becoming the pride and joy of the tent showing no signs of flowering yet still well and truly in Veg mode without the female indicators about to end week 5 so she will be getting another round of LST this weekend to maximise freeing up access to light for the parts that otherwise without a Defol wouldn't get chance to blossom. She wants the full tent to herself at this point and the next update is going to help her with that. 20210219_103956.jpg I mean just look at her. She's a monster! Now onto some slightly less satisfying news and an admission of another noob fail. Day 28 - Chemdawg #1 This girl is abnormal. She has already made it perfectly clear she's not far off going into flower so whilst I did tie this girl down for some LST upon inspection from @autobeast he recommended we leave this stocky girl to try and get a bit of height without LST. Now for the admission.... When this girl was topped I cleaned out the top 2 Colas in the process so the top node was literally just two big fuck off Fan Leaves sucking all the good stuff away from the rest so off they came last night leaving this girl with only 6 branches to grow from instead of what should have been 8 had I topped her properly. In a way I'm glad this has happened and I spotted it myself and managed to understand why she wasn't flourishing as much as her cousin. Granted they are different Genetics but you only need to look at the next girls update to see that something just doesn't seem right with this one. 20210217_222845.jpg Here's what she could've won but instead we are going to be leaving her to her own devices. I am a little gutted about this as I've only been able to observe the Defol and training on one plant before I'm let loose with my own little lady that you're about to see next. Day 19 - Chemdawg #2 With the mistake in mind from the previous Topping I double checked with AutoBeast on where to top this and I'm kinda happy that he just stayed silent and said top it where you want its your baby. So being careful not to cut the top cola off too I chopped her head off and cheered her up with 1L of Water with 2ml BioBizz Fish. I've also been adding a foliar spray to her of the biobizz FishMix. Once the leaves reach the edge of the pot I'll be starting with 4ml of Parts A and B of Monkey Nutrients Grow Feed and 1 tablespoon of Blackstrap Molasses every 3 days. This is my favourite 6 days of growth I've witnessed so far as the plant tries to decipher which of its Colas is dominant. 20210219_104018.jpg Summary Don't top your main cola off when you realise what you've done it'll hurt like hell. Approaching 2nd week of feed keep a closer eye on the water levels in your plant they get thirsty sometimes but other days not so much so there is no one size fits all in those weeks 4-5 in my experience so far in Organic. Not all plants have the same life span so if growing a variety in one place understand that they will all veg and flower at different ages so while it's nice to have rules of thumb ie no earlier than x to top or no later than day x to start feed there will always be flex between days and that applies even to the same genetics although perhaps not so prominently variant. Every day growing is a day learning. Ok so it's end of week 5 for this @fastbuds_genetics @fastbuds_backup_account @420fastbuds Northern Lights Auto and well just fucking look at her. She's taking over the tent with her canopy dwarfing the 2 Chemdawg Autos and only just showing signs of Preflower. A vast contrast from the 2 Chemdawg but the aerial view gives an idea of the incredible amount of Bud Sites formulating on the upper canopy. I've been leaf tucking twice a day this week for around 15 minutes each time talking to my girls about what I'm doing to free up light to the lower canopy and its bearing fruit for sure. I knew this week was going to be an eventful one for this staggered tent but having thought the Chemdawg had fallen behind she is in fact further ahead in her life so adjusting the feed schedule for the baby accordingly. Every day growing is a day learning.

All is developing nicely, introduced cannazym and boost to the mix. Finally I have access to a better camera which you will see on the later pics. The cuttings I took seem to survive for now, with some outrooting their cubes already.

Final veg day today, still watering straight water with Pro-TeKt (twice this week, 3 since I last fed) & the run off PPMs oddly keep rising at the pH drops was hoping to kick into the AgroThrive flower formula next water but I many hold off another time average run off PPM is 2768, I don't know if this rise is an organic thing but the plants look generally good to me. Trimmed more & added one more LST clip this week.

30/12/21: final week of veg - the plants have responded better to the increased intake fan speed lowering the temperature overall. no more yellowing leaves. been on a dose of 0.5 bio bloom to prepare for flower. I have switched the lighting schedule today as they enter flower. the plants are responding well to the nutrients and the light - with tall stems and the topped kolas have sprouted well. I have added a carbon dioxide bag to increase CO2 intake.
