The 2nd week was great for the plants. Specially Banana Purple Punch and Forbidden Runtz They stretched and grow without no problem. I'm excited for week 3. I LST them, I did some defoliation and they got fed with Goldleaf feterlizer and I added mycos chum and cal-mag to the mix. Let see how they do.

This week the girls have stretched for the last time then the fun will really begin with the buds blowing up. Alaskan purple has the frosty sugar leafs which tells me she will be more potent at this point of the grow cycle. Both of the girls are in good health but Alaskan purple has 2 leafs that look like nutes burn from the feeding last week of the ff nutes, so only distilled water this week to kinda flush her then back to nutes feeding, which will be perfect timing for buds to start coming in. Overall it's rained a lot where I live which has made humidity a problem so I got another dehumidifier for my room to help with that problem other than that this grow is on track for a nice harvest.

Fast Buds has been very kind in extending me the opportunity to try our their new strain C.A. There's not a lot of information out there about this strain yet, other than it is supposed to be indica dominant. No solid leads on the name that I have found. I'd going with a guess of Cali Airlines for now (though I suspect this may be a CBD strain). Put the seed straight into the soil in the final container (3 gal grow bag) on March 3rd. I'll spray the top of the soil once a day until I see the sprout appear. Then I'll let the tap root do its thing and find the water below in the soil. The soil was watered heavily 2 days before planting the seed, then left in the tent to get the soil to temperature. My Perpetual Harvest strategy…. Originally my plan was to start 2 seeds each month, but had some seeds from one breeder that did not germinate early in my rotation. Ultimately, this caused single seeds to pop and messed up my 2 at a time plans. But, that seemed to work out OK, because now I think starting one seed every 3 weeks is a better strategy. This should provide me with 4-5 plants at a time, instead of 6. However… Since Fast Buds has been kind enough to allow me to preview their new CC and CA strains I am now going to be starting a new seed every 2 weeks. This should allow me to get all of the plants I want to grow this season in the perpetual harvest rotation. I need to shut down over the summer because my tent is currently in the attic. Plants get fed once weekly on weekends. Seedlings get water only. Plants in vegetation get water and Recharge. Flowering plants get water, Recharge or Big Bloom (Fox Farm). Feeding is done using 2 gallon watering can. Any additional waterings during the week are given on an as needed basis per plant. I lift the plants to help determine which plants are more dry (lighter) and provide water as needed. I give each pot a quarter turn every day in an effort to make sure the plants get equal lighting from all sides. I rotate the plant in place by turning the pot 90 degrees (I am not rearranging the layout of the plants in the tent on a daily basis). The soil is an ‘organic super soil’ I mixed myself using organic top soil, organic potting soil, organic compost, organic peat moss, organic perlite, organic vermiculite, lime, epsom salt, expanded clay pellets and Jobe’s organic fast start. I am also recycling my soil and water with Recharge when using recycled soil. For plant training I have tried a variety of things, but my plans now are to do LST bending only, no HST anymore. I may decide to go back to HST again in the future, but I’m curious to compare LST training only to see how that goes. Around 3 week I'll do a FIM cut/pinch once there are 4-5 nodes established. And some defoliation around the 3rd week of flowering. I have been doing HST bending and having good results, but think the HST may be causing the plants to take longer to harvest. I hope LST only will help increase harvests while getting me to harvest sooner. WEEK 11 - (05/09/2021 - 05/15/2021) Week 3, Day 17 - FLOWER: 05/11/2021 Doing 2 gallons of water per 5 gallon pot this watering due to lack of runoff in weeks prior. I’m thinking I could be letting the pots dry out a little too long in between so the 1.5 gallons hasn’t been enough for each watering. When I stick my finger into the medium 2 or 3 days after watering it still seems like the soil has plenty of moisture so I wait another day or two. I know fabric pots are supposed to dry out usually in 2-3 days, but the soil still seems too moist, and I don’t want to overwater. It seems like ever since transplanting into 5 gallons and switching them to a 12/12 light cycle, watering got more complicated. Maybe I am overthinking the whole process. I just don’t want to risk ruining my crop, you know? Tap water: 223ppm, 8.6 pH, 70℉ (9 gallons total) + HydroGuard: 9ml/9 gallons + pH Down: 30ml/9 gallons Mixture: 267ppm, 6.0 pH, 70.4℉ ppm/ppm = runoff/soil JB#1 - 1330ppm/1063ppm, 6.3 pH AP#1 - 1310ppm/1043ppm, 6.3 pH AP#2 - 1160ppm/893ppm, 6.7 pH GC#1 - 1350ppm/1083ppm, 6.3 pH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Week 3, Day 20 - FLOWER: 05/14/2021 Watered a day earlier than I usually do, with .5 gallons less water per plant. So each plant got a total of 1 gallon of water for their 5 gallon pots. This is really just to take the question out of the back of my mind: Am I letting the pots dry out too much going four days until the next watering? I will check on the plants shortly after they wake up tomorrow to observe their reaction to the watering. None of the plants produced really any runoff, which was boggling to me, because when I water there is usually anywhere between 10-20%, and that’s after watering on the fourth day. Needless to say, I was unable to take readings this time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Week 3, Day 21 - FLOWER: 05/15/2021 5:30 p.m. - Decided to check on the plants since I watered a day earlier (yesterday) than I have been since transplanting into the 5 gallon fabric pots. This was kind of an experiment to see how the plants would react to watering on the third day rather than the fourth, because I keep doubting myself. Anyway, when I checked in on the plants, a few leaves looked ever so slightly droopy. Not terrible. It appears that some of the leaves had begun to swell up a little as well. Not 100% sure if these are actually early signs of being overwatered this time, or if it’s something I have simply overlooked until now. Just to be sure, I’m going to water once more on the third day to see how the plants respond. The plants seem to be doing well this week. I've finally installed another ScroG net on the second level to help maintain the canopy. Since I cut the first layer of net the plants quickly started to get out of control and began to grow unevenly across the canopy. The trichomes are starting to appear on all of the plants, with the exception of the American Pie #1. This pheno is a little behind. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with how differently this plant was trained compared to her sisters (The manifold/mainline technique was applied). Possibly could have even defoliated her a little too heavy and she's taking a few extra days to bounce back. She's still producing early buds though, which is good. 👌 That just about wraps up this week. Things just keep getting more and more exciting with each journal entry. All the girls should have about 5-7 weeks left in flower before they are ripe for harvest. Hoping to have another tent and light setup by the end of flower so I can get some more seeds started. Very slow to mature like the malana bomb. Not too chunky either but still looks like a nice yield. Waiting for Amber trichs and it's taking ages haha. Gonna let it go a little longer I think the malana bomb is closer than this one. Very light smell but still has a small kick to it. Not like the diesel tho wow that was a stinker.

Week 5 Flipped to Flower. Finally recovered from Light burn and spider mites. Closed up all my light leaks and added a little CO2 to the room. Will be adding more CO2 soon. Trellis has been added Turned Lights up to 75%

Here we go! Day 1 Kosher cake 15-05-21 Today for her, is the first day under the light 🙌🏻 I hope she grows up healthy and strong. I added a quarter of Biobizz's recommended dose of Root-Juice (1ml / L) I start to give less, and then increase in the next few days so as not to be aggressive with the baby. 👶🌱 I will be uploading new updates soon! Day 2 16-05-21 ..There is not much to say, the plant continues to grow and seems to like his little house 😋 Day 3 17-05-21 The girl is loving her life! 🌱💚 today I added (1g/1L) of Micro-vita to the recipe, to ensure that it is able to assimilate better nutrients and it has beneficial bacteria and fungi available for the protection of roots and for general plants growth. HEY Guys , I've been in a crazy & exciting week really, these contests motivate me to work on my photography and make delicious edibles 😋. after tasting that brownie/muffin everything change!! You guys Can't imagine the damn taste of it. ( I was high about 4hrs after eating a Muffin and there was nothing I could do to chill down a bit Maybe I should pay attention to it's dosage next time.😀 Also Taking Close shots of my buds and my homemade Extraction was really amazing, I enjoyed every minute of it and really worked on them for hours, when I find sth worth it, I always go all in. I put lot of time and effort to the point where I was finally satisfied, with both growing and taking memorable photos of my first grow. Week 1 Day 1 - 8/12/2023 1st Water change Day! Such a special time it is when you remove the little bit of Nutes that you gave them as an appetizer and you give them their first real meal. Added 39 Gallons of Water to my system SILICA= .5mil/Gal = 19.5 = 20mil Root Drip = 1mil/Gal = 39mil Cal Mag= .25mil/Gal = 9.75 = 10mil FLoraMicro= 3.0mil/Gal = 114mil FloraGro = 2.0mil/Gal = 78mil FloraBloom = 2.0mil/Gal =78mil ORCA= .5mil/Gal = 19.5 = 20mil Week 1 Day 2 - 8/13/2023 Everything is looking good the roots are making thier way to the water and the new grow is looking nice and green. Week 1 Day 3- 8/14/2023 Everything is right on track, they are looking beautiful and in the praying postition all leaves happily lifting towards the light. Week 1 Day 4- 8/15/2023 Looking beautiful today and looked like she could use her first haircut.. gave her a TOP off. Roots are laying in the water everything is looking right on track.. Week 1 Day 5- 8/16/2023 walked in and the humidity was under 60.... ohh noooooo.. So I added 2 humidifiers to the tent and attached them to my InkBird controller which is set to 62. She had roots nicely in the water.. this grow is on!!! Week 1 Day 6- 8/17/2023 Humidity was a little low this morning, so I refilled the humidifiers. Other than that, the temp looks great, the PH looks great, the PPM looks good the plant is in the praying position and all damage from the little drowning seems to have been fixed. Happy Happy. Week 1 Day 7- 8/18/2023 Yay.. week 1 in the books, roots in the water growth has started first hair cut given and both side nodes are growing. Everything is looking good and on track.. A lot better than week one of the last grow when I had them drowning week 1. Really excited on how this grow is going to come out.
