So my phone died early in the week and I lost all my my update pics. On the plus side, I have a brand new better phone that takes better pics of my ladies. (The only reason to have a phone) - I’m still only giving the girls plain water and letting them use up the last of the nutrients in the leaves. I’d say there’s still ~12 days to harvest for the indica dominate strains and a week or so beyond that for the rest. - I’ll be taking clones in about week with an aero cloner I borrowed from a friend. That, will start a new diary from the beginning. I’ll flower the moms I have now and I will also pop some new seeds for the grow after that one. I’ll be posting more closeups soon.

the plant keeps swelling at a slow pace. looks bigger every day and smells stronger

4/23/24 Discoloration in top buds is worrying me so I chopped the last plant. Per RQS this may be a week or two early but I am seeing a lot of milky trichomes. Would rather pull it now then end up with bud rot or something. Lower buds look excellent. Will follow up and wrap up this grow in about a week after drying and some curing. 4/27/24 Final weights : Rachie 18 g Lily 18 g Lucy - EDIT 6.24.25 - Will never use RQS again. I switched to Barney's and I will never look back. I had a seed from the RQS pack go auto in the middle of my grow and threw everything out of whack. When I asked the rep what he thought the issue was in my comment section, he said something to the effect of "PM me and I'll take care of it. When I PM'd him he basically told me to not put RQS on blast and just call the 1-800 number. Like bro, you can't even tell me what you think might have happened? Do seeds sometimes do this on their own? Was there a mix up? A "sorry for your inconvenience" bro? Nothing just hey, don't be commenting at me about it just call the number. Barney's customer service has been out of this world. Of course it's a better product as well. No issues so far and everything is exactly what was on the package.

Documenting the progress after another week. Here's Week 3. Starting to show secondary leaves now coming in. "Acapulco Gold" and "Something Good" seem to be showing the most growth so far (more leaves, sticks in cups). Once they all get to be about as tall as the cups they're growing in, it will probably be time to transplant them into their bigger pots. These solo cups have a small hole for water to drain out as we've been manually feeding them and facing them where there's the most sun. During the day, it is sometimes warm enough to leave them outside. Lately, the air temperature has still been a bit too chilly. Once the air warms up some, we'll be putting about half of these plants in 3.5 gallon fiber pots and the other half in normal plastic pots. Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. WEEK 12😍 This AU is doing very well, im just studying and learning best time to harvest sativas like this. Maybe first ?? 1 one week first? 5 days?? dunno we will study it through microscope and daily checks. I think surely another week but i could change my mind this week if i decide to give her more sativa effects. UPDATE : i will harvest tomorrow 9th october with 5-10% ambered trichomes

Smooth sailing, but if there's no pest pressure, that's mostly the case for me at this stage. Early flower and finishing can be tricky, but mid flower is just watching the ladies get plump. I did spot the first signs of an imbalance, will not intervene in any way, as I want to see what the baseline of just stupidly sticking biotabs in the soil is. I cut my tap water with RO to an EC of 0,4 and we have almost no Mg in the tap water, no runoff either, probably there is an imbalance of the K:Ca:Mg ratio causing some problems. If i intervened, I would start pHing the water and adding some epsom salts. Like this I just hope that it will lead into a nice fade and not have too much impact on flavor.

9/15 I'm starting by saying that the plant doctor is a great product. For the first time in forever I have no traces of wpm. The fusarium doesn't seem to be spreading g either. Blueberry is exploding in growth. It seems like everyday the buds are bigger. We had a MASSIVE wind storm. I mean a windstorm that knocked down trees. The blueberry was the only one that wasn't properly vertically trellises. My tiny little supports didn't hold. Nothing broke and there's no damage but I had to move the plant and secure it better. I didn't have time before the doctor but I HAD to do it. I used the trellis from another plant to keep the branches upright as they're so heavy. If it RAINED those branches would've snapped for sure. I put the little one in the lean-to beside the barn out of the wind. Blueberry is getting closer. I really think k it'll make it. UPDATE: I took some buds from the plants that died in early flower and washed them for ice water hash. Well I'm in the process of washing some. There's a lot and I want to see if it's any good before I kill my arms. It's a great forearm workout though. Although it's hard to take a drink now. Of course that's when it REALKY started bubbling furiously. I know I'll get double the next pull at least. I'm going to let it sit and maybe add some more when I do it. I'll post a temple ball if it works out. If not I have other stuff to wash. I may do a diary on that. Went back over and all plants seem happy despite the gusts of wind. Luckily I was able to get the tarp up. I'm taking a break before I die from exhaustion. I felt off the ladder earlier this morning..... 9/16 I watered the plants a little. The soil was dry to the touch but i noticed the container was still heavy so I lightly watered. With all this sun and it supposed to be 80 today I felt I needed to water. The wind is still horrific. I have my blueberry trellises pretty good. Others have wind breaks. I fell hard yesterday morning hurrying around. I was on an upside down bucket on one foot and it kicked put from under me. Legs flew in the air. Luckily I wasn't injured. At least that's something I've taken from martial arts that's benefitted me. Knowing how to fall. Anyway everything is progressing nicely in flower. I'm goi g to continue with beastie bloom but I'll switch over shortly to cha ching. I'm getting close. Also ran a batch of water hash with the buds of dead plants. I didn't think I'd get anything but I did. Now to properly dry it and see if it's any good. Still a heart break. Oh well. 9/17 I totally fucked everything up. I uploaded a shit ton of pictures to the wrong week. The app wasn't working. Hope I didn't fuck or too much. Fed everything today. The blueberry is in late flower. Some buds look REAL close to being done. My wife keeps talking to me so I can't finish this. I have to do things one at a time sometimes and this just isn't working here. Massive wind storms but no broken branches. Temps get down close to freezing at night. Low Temps are bringing out fall colors. I took a video of the blueberry. the other two won't be done for a little bit though. Oh well. I'll just bring them inside the garage at night. 9/18 I've been out multiple times to shake the buds today. It's not raining now but it did last night and today. Another day or two of rain and then some. I che ked some trichs and some buds are done. I'm just waiting for the rain to clear up and we get some sun. Wish I checked the trichs before this bout of rain. It's not raining now though and hadn't for a little while. Prime for thieves but I'm not realky worried. To much hassle for one plant and there's dogs. I may harvest in sections. I was going to do plant doctor today but it will have to he tomorrow. 9/19 It's been raining but today looks good. Treated with plant doctor. I can't say enough good things about that product. I got the trich scope out after a few friends said my plants look ready. Some buds are. That's how it goes. Buds don't all mature at once. I like a solid couch lock though. If the forecast is just going to he more rain then I'll do a selective harvest. It's about the same time the strain finished last year. Now I've got earwigs eating my buds from the bottom up. UPDATE: I found my old trich scope but couldn't find the right batteries anywhere. I wad able to buy a new one for ten bucks. I went back over having more time. After ACTUALLY checking the trichs they were mature. Obviously the whole plant can't be at the same stage but everything is nice and milky. Earwigs were starting to eat the bottom of buds and had stripped a couple lower branches. After seeing this and having a nice day where the flowers dried out and an upcoming rainy forecast I chose to harvest the majority of the blueberry plant. I left some small branches but I'm almost positive it will just turn into earwig food. Seems early to ke but looking back this was about the same time this strain was ready last year. Same problem with the ear wigs only I let them eat the while inner plant before I called it quits and took what was left after it was my finally my perfect stage. I was using a USB microscope and was being to picky. I think I made the right choice.

To tell the truth, I am very surprised myself, how amazing she is FastBuds Gorilla cookies, she copes well with a small space:) she drinks 1 liter every day :) everything looks better than expected:) good luck to everyone.

This week I did some defoliation on her just did lower bud site LST. I forgot to mention last week I did do some removal of lower bud sites focusing more on the to bud site production.Just got some new food to add to the list will be feeding it the next few days see how she likes it.

This will be the 7th week in flower . Fitting to go into 8th week in flower. I learned that I was heavy feeding and the mite I figured a way to get rid of em completely. I was using Plant Therapy which is oil and has peppermint smell to it. I just use that for spray bottle and back using hydro peroxide to kill the insects far as mite or clean up anything that may harm the roots inside the soils. I want to see these girl strive to the end. Definitely running London Pound Cake again after the Birthday Runtz . MSLN will try their LPC next up in 2024.

Day 72 - 07/01/20 This one was the only survivor of my 4 x RQS diary. my blueberry auto, jack herer auto and GG auto didnt sprout but the diesel did and here is her harvest! I added some nice photos of the plant and the yield was 325g wet weight. Should be over an ounce once its dried. Update - Dry weight was 30g although much of the bud is small :) Ive been curing for a few days and its insane how the flavour and burn changes throughout curing :) Update - Day 78 - 13/01/20 The sweet diesel smell and taste is coming through. buds are becoming more and more enjoyable to smoke as days go by. :) il post a few pictures later tonight! Added the photos of some buds and a video so you can all have an opinion on how my buds turned out visually. let me know in the comments :) Il do a few more curing updates to let you know how the second week of curing goes! Day 86 - 21/01/20 I finally finished the NYCD after about 2 weeks of curing. It smokes fairly well and is definitely the best thing ive grown so far :) Buds developed quality and a sweet earthy diesel flavour/aroma over the 2 weeks of curing. one major improvement i would make is to source high quality soil as i really struggled to flush this properly. even still without lab quality conditions ive never felt so depression free since ive been taking this medicine regularly. to finish up i will say that I liked the NYCD diesel taste but i still preferred sour diesel. The plant grew to a reasonable height around 60cm and produced an ounce of average bud. and I might not have won any GD competitions, but im still a winner! :'D Lucky for us I just started an Sour Diesel Auto from fastbuds so you can check that out to see what i thought of it compared to this one :)

This week went very well, I did some minor LST, and some light defoliation. I believe I have a nice base built for her, now I am just hoping she grows a little bit before flower. She is starting to show some tiny white hairs, but I think I have another week of growth left. Thanks for checking me out and blaze on.

Yes ANOTHER week of veg and probably 2 more atleast..I just chopped 2 girls today and have another 2 coming down sometime next week so she'll have the whole tent to herself and I will have her in a bigger pot atleast a 4 gallon ... this grow hasn't had the love and attention she deserves and it shows... 1 gallon pot .. minimal lighting and poor diet but now that room is clearing up big changes are coming for her.. she WILL be glorious when she done probably around week 22 🤣 .. Happy growing ✌️. Day 60 we transplanted her (4 gallon )and will give her a couple days then another round of topping so we'll be at 32 .. gonna top there so gonna veg another 2 weeks then flip
