This week made a few oopsies . I gave un-ph’d water to one of the plants “moving to fast” . Started defoliation during this week to attempt to redirect plant energy into establishing a full canopy since flowering has initiated. Whilst defoliating I broke a branch that had to be taped to save it. Humidity went out of whack when I stored 4 prepped 5 gal pots for transplant in the tent sooo I’ve got to buy a dehumidifier bc at one point all my plants fell out in a fit . STILL haven’t filled these pots out, & I’m kinda sure/unsure it’s time to re-amend the soil for flowering. I’m conflicting on waiting until beginning/middle of week 7 so I can flush week 11 & 12 . I think that covers it pretty well Week 5 in the 📚 📕 📖.

Our prayers were answered! Honestly, I'm not sure how well the plants would have done if it hadn't rained during the week. We got enough rain to keep the temperature and humidity just where we needed it for most of the day. However, at night, it was a big hassle because water got inside the greenhouse, affecting the humidity big time. After that, it was super hot, so the water evaporated quickly. Transferring the plants into bigger pots was pretty simple, but I definitely recommend the process for outdoor plants ONLY. This whole experience has been a learning process. We gave them nutrients a little too soon, but since we were able to catch it, we've only been giving them water and nutrients once a week moving forward. We've also been spraying them with neem oil since we don't know what could be festering in the greenhouse by now. Nevertheless, the plants are thriving and starting to grow more than just three leaves... hehe.

I have been checking them every other day now and this is the week they'll be 'going dark' before I chop and hang them to dry. 12/5- I'm continuing to flush all three with 2g of straight well water with NPK Yucca Extract added, which I then ph to 6.5 @ 68℉, twice daily for a total of 4g each day. The two purple pheno's are just breathtaking in looks and their aroma's! The #2 plant is a beautiful cultivar as well, just not purple, with several huge cola's having formed due to her being topped! 12/7- Today at 'lights out' I placed all three Tropicana Cookies in the dark for 72hrs. I moved them to a dedicated room that is totally dark and which I can keep control of the temperature, humidity and air circulation (same room I use for drying). For the 72hr dark period I keep the temp's between 60-65℉ at a RH of 40-45% with decent air circulation. 12/11- Today, all three of the FastBuds Tropicana Cookies were released from 'Dark Jail'. I actually let them go an additional day, for a total of 96hrs in the dark, and from the looks of them it didn't hurt them one bit! All three look absolutely fantastic and the aroma coming off of them is just incredible! 🤪🔥 Every plant is heavily frosted up and all have tightly stacked, dense flowers. After chopping, I'm going to hang each of them whole to try to extend their drying time as much as possible. My dedicated 'Drying Room' has no outside light and is maintained at 58-60℉ with a RH of 50-60%. I use a de-humidifier, humidifier and two fans in the room. One fan is for air circulation, the other brings in cold outside air and the humidifier/de-humidifier handle the RH. I'm shooting for a 10-12 day dry, but that can always change because we all know 'shit happens'! 😁 My next diary entry will be after these fine ladies are done drying, get trimmed up, weighed and jarred. 02/01/2021 Will update when dried and cured, smells sweeet! Very candy like sticky but have grown stickier strains, nice colors hope it looks as good dried. Greens and purples are striking! See ya next week Ps I will not do this monster cropping again good harvest but too much trimming! If I do I'll train longer into better shape. But I learned how not to do it next time. Should have vegged longer and training would have helped, I just wanted to experiment.🙏 Getting back to soil and putting Hydroponics away for a while. I will grow outside this summer to see how she does, I'm curious to see how she handles PW outside, no issues inside. Got a little PW but it didn't spread and didn't see it again. Also got all my trimmings(about 1 ounce) in the freezer, going to try and make dry sift once I figure out how. 10 days since harvest. Auto Ultimate is an absolute BEAST!!! She’s taller than the another two by far!!! They are all flowering really well and seem to be hitting it out of the park!!! This grow is by far better then our first grow!! The plants are bigger the bud structure is looking amazing everything seems really to be on point!!! We have defoliated far more this grow and it seems to really be beneficial!!! The only thing I would have done differently is I would have LST’d sooner as these stems got super thick super fast so there was only so much bending we could do without breaking them. Had we done no LST these girls would be at the top of the tent by now especially Ultimate!!!

6/17/24 she's winding down to the end(still a couple weeks) she's throwing out purple on the fan leaves. Thinking she may fade out nicely. 6/21 seeing some yellowing on the purple fading. Niiiice 👍

03.10.2023 Tag 71 Die Wassermelone ist heute gefallen. Ich kann es kaum abwarten sie zu probieren. Der Grow lief eigentlich ganz ruhig ab, obwohl ich immer wieder Spitzen der Aufregung hatte. Insgesamt bin ich aber sehr zufrieden mit der Dame. Sie hat hinreißend schöne Blüten gebildet und duftet einfach verführerisch. Wirklich sehr, sehr schöne Blüten, die mit Trichomen überzogen sind. Sexy AF. Terp 💪😎

Things have been great this week for this girl. She's my pride this run as far as overall looks and bud structure. Falling over at this point from the weight. Fans leaves curling up and trichomes almost there. Will be looking to wrap this one up by the end of the week.

🌾 Harvest Day — The Grand Finale of the Eternity Grow Cup 🌾 Days 72–73 | Trimmed on May 25 | Posted May 27 What a journey this has been — and what a finish. These five incredible Runtz phenos have now completed their cycle, and today, we celebrate the final stage of their flowering life: the Harvest. We sent the girls into darkness on Day 70, allowing them a full 48+ hours of rest and reset. The dark period was just a bit longer, truth be told, because time… it flows as it must. This extended dark time helps increase resin production, allowing the trichomes to mature just that final bit more. On Days 72 and 73, we harvested them with care and reverence. Each plant was hung upside down, whole, in a perfectly controlled 60% humidity environment for 13 full days. Before hanging, we gently removed only the fan leaves, leaving all trichome-rich sugar leaves in place — a natural armor for the delicate resin glands during drying. Why do we do this? Because those sugar leaves help protect the essential oils and terpenes, preserving potency, flavor, and aroma for the smoothest experience later on. 🌿 The Dry Room & The Trichome Guardians Throughout the drying, we used a moisture meter to monitor the moisture content in the stems. Once it dropped to around 12–13%, we knew it was time. This tool is a simple but game-changing ally in ensuring a perfect dry — not too fast, not too slow. We then trimmed everything by hand over a 6.5-hour focused session. Armed with trim bins and good energy, we collected an abundance of glistening trichome heads in the process — a golden bonus from these resin-packed beauties. The leaves themselves told a story: deep purples, near-black shades, autumn fades and metallic tones — just stunning. Each girl was trimmed in order: #5 → #4 → #3 → #2 → #1, revealing dense, chunky buds all the way from top to bottom. Not a single pop-corn bud among them — only rock-solid nugs, heavyweight champions in every sense. 📦 Cure Begins – Grove Bags & Glass Jars Once trimmed, the buds were tucked carefully into Grove Bags and glass jars, each stabilized at around 61% RH. The Grove Bags handle the microclimate beautifully, keeping humidity between 58–61%, perfect for preserving all that hard-earned quality. We’re now opening the jars daily, monitoring aroma and feel. The UV pushed trichome development to the max. The deep reds gave us thickness, color, and weight. And this time, I wanted to honor them too. When we unpotted the plants after harvest, we were met with massive, dense root systems, completely filling the Autopot trays. These roots were vibrant, white and healthy, looking like noodles in a thick herbal soup — a true sign of vitality. Looking good and smelling better. I have not harvested yet, but I've sampled some flowers after a flash dry in the vape. It definitely does the trick and is firmly on the indica side of the spectrum. Day 67. I decided to early harvest the side colas that formed off the main 4 branches of the 2 plants. It's my first grow so I am interested in comparing an earlier vs later harvest so thought I'd take this opportunity as well as expose some of the lower buds thats were blocked by the dense patch of colas in the middle of the plants.
