7/2 Last week it was extremely hot (80's-90's) with cold nights. We had a severe thunderstorm last night and it's raining like crazy today. I didn't spend time in the garden as it was pouring. However I defoliated yesterday briefly. I had maybe a half dozen leaves yellow and die a couple days after the organicide application. They were mostly the largest oldest fan leaves most infected with pm. A couple smaller interior leaves yellowed and died as well but they were the leaves most infected. I assume that's normal. As I defoliated I noticed my first aphid of the season. I saw a few dead ones the organicide killed and a couple that were alive. Aphids aren't a big deal. They'll be evicted soon enough. I haven't seen one spot of pm though since the application. Maybe a little on a dead leaf but it seems to be working good. Didn't take pictures today but needed one to update the diary. Trying to upload videos but they take forever. 7/3 Ridiculously hot all last week. Extremely hot yesterday then a severe thunderstorm but it cleared to 90 degrees with 90%rh. This environment is a fungal nirvana. Still a slight smell from the organicide. I'm glad I used it though. I threw away some more leaves but this is the time that starts happening anyway. Before the stretch. With the ideal conditions I saw WPM rear it's head again. Only this time the organicide seemed to still have a residue. The PM only infected the super old biggest fan leaves and a few tiny tiny leaves on the very interior of the plant. I didn't know I had aphids but I've found a few dead on the underside of leaves I defoliated. So it seems to be working. My plants are growing towards the sun (partially due to my tarps which I need to be legal) which make airflow harder to maintain. My dad gave away my pallets this year. I had planned to put bags and supports on pallets with some sort of wheel so I could spin them. Oh well I'll do that next year in my new location. I have also found moth holes in couple leaves so BT it will still be needed. If videos didn't take so long to upload I would have a bunch. Happy growing. 7/5 Watered lightly (as it had been 90's) before feeding three gallons to the garden. Noticed some telltale leafhopper signs on a 9lb kush. The organicide seems to be doing a decent job of keeping PM at bay. The blueberry is now the worst it seems. I'm planning on another application before I try anything heavier. The fishy smell is now totally gone. Plants seem healthy and are a nice dark green. I have had some problems that have effected my ability to fully care for my girls. I have some defoliation I need to do. I also see moths sometimes in the morning plus the pm and the random munch. I guess that's to be expected outside but I need to get on top of this shit. I also have more LST I could be doing. 7/6 Rained all night and still off and on. Can't see any pm but I've found a few spots on the blueberry that could be septoria. I'm going to hit them either tonight or tomorrow with the organicide and if it doesn't work I may try a sulfer based fungacide. Took a few pictures. I need to defoliate as well. 7/7 Uploaded some duplicate pics accidentally. If I could've created the perfect environment for fungal infections I don't think I could've done better than yesterday. Hence the organicide. I was surprised it wasn't pronounced and only a little here and there. Also saw leaf hopper and pillar damage so hopefully this will straighten that out. Blueberry seems weak in it's stalk. I'm not sure if the wind is blowing it against that hard metal circle around it. It may have septoria. If it does I'll have to switch to something different or junk the plant. 7/8 This sucks. I can see signs of leaf septoria on the GDPs. This is definitely not a strain for the Maine climate. It's not resilient enough against diseases. This year has been particularly bad with 40 degree temp swings and rain then bright hot sun. I couldn't engineer better conditions. I appears senescence starts at the same time looking back over the past four years. However maybe that's just the life cycle of the earwigs. Oh yeah. I raked the inside of the grow bag with my hand and AT LEAST a half dozen earwigs came out RIGHT FROM THE SOIL IN THE BAG. I dealt with these prehistoric bastards last year and lost half my harvest. They eat other insects but the spread disease like crazy and they DO eat your plant while leaving behind the worst bacteria and plant disease. I have research to do. Like I said. This sucks. I'm changing locations next year but I need some help dealing with the septoria and the earwigs or I'll be fucked again. I defoliated anything that looked suspect. Still need to improve airflow.

Last week I think. Nice amount of cloudy trichomes next week should show enough Amber to please me. Waiting game now. At least plant 1 is now smokeable. Starting to focus on the next now and letting these do their thing.

All week I have been doing root flushing

I starting to see a bit of light bleaching this week. This week I did a bit of defoliation but nothing too crazy, next week I will do the last defoliation. so I think I overwatered a little bit at the beginning and it was super small pots. So at least they have good roots system so I transplanted into the final 8l pots. I did the mix with the substrate with the Startrex, Mycotrex, and the Organic Tabs (1.5 tabs per plant for me). And I watered with a little bit of orgatrex and bactrex after transplanting.

Method 🎚️ Medium: 🥥🥥 We ran this one in an even parts soil, compost, coco and purlite mix. The hope was to minimize required nute feedings and maintenance. The addition of nute nuetral coco proved to be somewhat of a mistake and may have contributed to some unnecessary plant stress when she used up all the available natural nutes in the soil and compost. There simply wasn’t enough good stuff in the medium to see her happily through the cycle without extra supplementation. I’d do this again but leave out the coco and layer the compost at the bottom with minimal medium saturation and runoff in early/mid veg. This should achieve better results the next time round. She was entirely untrained and allowed to stretch to her highest height. A better yield definitely would’ve been derived with some topping/mainlining and training but regardless, her freak flag flew high and She went unnoticed by unwanted eyes. We won’t be able to grow high next year due to construction next door so this may be the last time I run a skyscraper outdoor in the rear yard. 1/5 volume emojis for method because there really wasn’t any training. 2/5 coconut emojis- not for the lack of training but due to the unsupportive medium amendments like the coco. Yield🌴🌴🌴 And now the part we all seem to measure with great expectation. The expectation in this case was to pull 9-12oz off this girl and we fell well short of that. For the reasons mentioned above as well as the fact that she was putting at least some of her efforts into seed production too. We spotted it pretty early on in flower and some stalks started showing signs of ball formation that every grower fears. I was really concerned she’d be a full on hermie but this didn’t happen and it seems it was just localized pollination. Probably due to an occasional, randy bumblebee that had come from elsewhere. It’s not all bad at all and we did pull a few seeds off of her that we’ll give a shot to in the future I think👍. Final yield - 7.18oz. I’m never going to complain about a quarter pound off a plant that needed almost no maintenance whatsoever👍. 3 palm tree emojis for not going full hermie and putting out enough of this magically intense bud to share with friends and family👍 Props As always, big shout-out thank you to GD for making this site accessible to us. Most of my autos in photos were put to pop nearly fifteen days ago. Some of it has been slow.But it's okay because they're gonna pick up soon.

Good growth this week. The inchworms are still munching away so I sprayed with some neem oil. Will be watering in some Big Bloom and molasses later. Really looking forward to this one flowering in a couple weeks. It had the prettiest purple flowers last year!

DAY 37 FLOWERING!!. ( i screwed up my counting !!. flowering began 12th july. ) This lady continues to impress me. with 3-4 weeks left on her she has some serious potential for fat buds. I have found sone bud rot due to high rh , killed me to lop it off but had to be done. Working with 2 extraction fans now for air. She smells beautiful and is very very sticky now.

12/04 - Well, Pinky had a bucket change today and I'm a little concerned because, quite frankly, my aging brain completely forgot she's probably allergic to the Micro ... so I may have to do another bucket change tomorrow and get rid of it... I'll let her rest overnight and see how she's doing in the morning ... She's definitely a light "eater" - her EC should have been at 0.8 last week and this week it should be getting to 1.0-1.2 - but she just doesn't react well to the higher EC levels... She has gained SO MUCH HEIGHT this past week! It's truly astounding... Maybe the lights weren't close enough, maybe she's just a helluva gal but seriously - 8-1/2" in a week?! She's starting to scare me! LOL! 12/06 - LOOK AT HER LEAVES!!! They've started to uncurl!!!! In talking to another grower about her, I'm realizing that what she had been desperate for was more PK so the addition of the KoolBloom liquid AND the fact the pH kept going up (apparently a sign she's gobbling up the PK) says THIS is what she was hungry for... in fact, I need to give her more today as the pH is still floating upward and is too high... But PINKY!!! Maybe I've figured out what you've been wanting?! (Well, to give proper credit, @Roberts helped me to see what you were saying!) ... cross your fingers, she's on her way... And she's starting to show her colors in the buds now, too... I'm excited! 12/07 - Had to move this lady... she's gained 5" in the last 3 days and I was running out of options.... Next time, if there IS a next time, I'll probably end up scrogging her... But now she's a roommate to my #2Bruce in the closet with a 7' ceiling and she'd better not run out of upward growth space!!!!
