Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. ok so everything has gone fantastic , no nutrient burns at all , and have been slowly creeping up the base nutrients , i have stopped the cal mag and now adding house and gardens bud XL at full strength these girls are now in full swing of flower and i bought a new ph stick this week , i have found when PHing the feed bucket that its best too have air stones in the bucket , add all nuts and then ph but do not use the feed that day as if you check the next day the ph is off again so i left it 24 hours after i add more ph down , and it seems too make the measurements alot easier and stable , i have bent down the main stems " without damaging them onto my netting too A keep the canopy all the same high so my lighting is covering all plants at the same distance and also it allowed the side stems too reach up too , i also was sponsored another new led light by kingbo this week so have added another 600watt led too the grow , so now have two 600's and one 900watt , and temps are still fine sitting at 24c lights on and 19-20 off , so am pleased with that , this lady is nice and compact and tight lots of leaves that I had too remove too open up her bud sites , stretch was also minimal ,

After the 4th week of growth the low stress training and topping had taken effect after the girls had recovered. To start this week I changed.my base neutrients to the Sensi Coco grow A+B from advanced neutrients and up the intake to 4ml/l as well as some carboload so sugars are accessible throughout. Due to the size of the lemon haze and the expected expansion of the smaller plants I will bring to flower now at Day 28.

Another stellar week here. Not much to note this week since there wasn't any lollipopping or much defoliation. Girl is now on auto pilot. Just watering every couple days. Day1: Tent is getting a bit crowded so I had to flip the switch and let the stretching begin! Raised the lamps about 10cm to get some more spacing between the nodes and removed a lot of the leaf mass to promote the lower branches grow. Sunset Sherbet #1 had its newest growth tips turning a little yellow and I'm not sure yet is it overdose/deficiency/heat issue or just a little pH mishap from overwatering.. gave her a little less nutrients to see how it responds. Gonna wait a little more time between next watering to let the soil dry up a little better (saw a fungus gnat flying in the tent and I don't want those f*ckers to overpopulate.) Day3: Some training, all seems fine Day4: Raised the lamps a bit again, not sure if the other Sunset Sherbet and now OG Kush too is suffering from mild nutrient burn or light stress Day6: My hydrohomie fucked up the Gelato#45 cuts I gave him so I took Peyote Critical as my next mother victim. Took 12 good sized shoots from below which I would've lollipopped anyways.. Hope she wont mind since I wasn't planning on defoliating/lollipopping this soon. Planning on training at around day 10 and 20 give or take and then I'll let them grow stress-free. Stretching ain't so crazy at least yet and the canopy is staying pretty much at the same height. Next defoliation/lollipopping I think I will remove all the bindings to avoid snapping the stems. All girls are now showing at least few pistils. Tried using the blooming leds on Viparspectra for two days and the temps are staying pretty much at 28C at most but switched back to just blues since not sure if there's a bit of light stress on SS/OGK. Will switch to full power when the stretching ends.

Beautiful as her sisters! The 3 phenos I have smell just exactly the same and the color is darker in one of the 3. Beautiful autoflowering strain to grow if you want citric terps very lemony and also if you wanna add some color to your garden 💜✌️🌱💚

Week 3 (14/06 - 20/06) 15/06 Have transplanted both plant into 3 gallon pots They are looking good, wont do much for a week before topping them

The end is near! She now has mostly cloudy trichomes, checking every other day for the amber count to go up. I do think it will be maybe a week until harvest, but again I’ll let her trichomes decide when she’s ready. Her leaves are definitely in the fade stages. I decided to let her dry out for 3 nearly 4 days, as you can see in the pics. She’s has gone very droopy, but I’m confident her watering will perk her up, she is on just ph’d water now, and will be until she is ready to harvest. Checking the buds, no issues she smells amazing, it’s almost candy like it’s so pungent. Lovely sweet strawberries and ripe banana scent. I’m hoping she finishes well, after having such a good grow.
