ZodaZa - Umami Seed Co. Day 90 🚿 She was twice this week watered with 3L of RO tap water, with defined nutrients, mixed in order and then pHd to 6.3. I've increased her BioHeaven and Acti-Vera nutrients to help boost her metabolism 💪🏻 ✂️ She has been working hard on bulking her flower again this week! No work required on her this week, as her internodal spacing and low leaf count has made her super easy to manage! 🙌🏻 🌸 Her flower has grown well but still requires bulking! But you can see her other worldly appearance starting to show, with shades of dark green contrasted with the white pistils and dark purple on her sugar leaves - she really is spectacular!! Her aroma is also present, with notes of grapes and candy 👌🏻

W15 - after successful ✂️ topping ESTHER recovers well. It seems like she is focusing now on developing her branches (9 pairs of them 😁 ). Using garden wire I spread branches out to let the sun rays make their magic 🌲💥 So she can become furrier and prettier 💃🏼

11/29 - At this point in the game, plants don't ever look much different day-to-day! I'm wondering, though, if this one is showing her starting to fade... it's either that or she's needing some stronger PK nutes... any thoughts? 12/2 - I'm going to start winding her down... gotta pick up some Ripen and some Flawless Finish ... Probably going to have to shorten the period of time I use these products but hell, she's pretty used to me screwing up - LOL! 12/03 - so my local grow store was out of Ripen - so I guess I'm going to forget that one... I'm going to let her go until Tuesday when she will be exactly 13 weeks old and start a 3-day flush using General Hydroponics FloraKleen (they also did not have Flawless Finish!).... Planning to chop her next Saturday unless the amber hasn't really made its presence known... We'll see.... I'm just going to go by what she tells me... but it really IS time, old girl... it really is. 12/04 - Doing a bucket change today, she's going to an EC of 0.2-0.4 or thereabouts and I'm not going to worry about the pH - my tap water is about 7.5 so that's what she's getting unless I relent and drop it to the upper 6's - I'm just not going to overly concern myself with it. I think her bulking has finished and SHE needs to finish up. Found a few amber on leaves in the middle of the plant and I know those can really be rather ignored .... but I'm still concerned about the trichs on the main cola - haven't seen much change between milky and clear for a while now... so it's puzzling to me. Maybe the drop in EC will kick her into truly finishing... if it doesn't, I can always bring the EC back up, the pH back down and keep her going... She's always been my "experiment" - always been my "tester" - so why not experiment at this stage of her life as well?!

My parents have literally no idea of agriculture and I told them that this seed that "a friend gave me" is a tomatoe seed. They believe me so I hope this isn't ending in a bad way HAHAHA We will see how it goes......

11/17 Week 8 Man I will be glad when this grow is over, if making mistakes promotes learning well... Im a fricking PHD ... Ok progress on Maggie the yellow is limited to the very top as buds are building in particular those a couple inches from the top. Thinking another root drench is in order, cant hurt and letting her dry a bit as a prep. Looks like tomorrow Layla doing ok she exhibits far fewer problems but the same issue are present she is just a hell of plant along with the Runtz which she shares the tent. Thinking about the feeding tomorrow will decide what to do then. They have plenty of time to finish up, had some issues on germination on the grow following so looks like it may be delayed a week from the scheduled 2 weeks. Maggie may need it. 11/19 Have stumbled onto to something it seems. The further I move the lights out, they are now at twice the "ideal" placement of 14" at 28" and the yellowing is disappearing to a great extent. Problem with this of course is not enough light at bud sites not on the canopy which lets face it is most of your bud. It is absolutely something that makes the plants insanely susceptible to light burn. New one for me but maybe some of yall know so making a question of it. Pics at lights out only and I missed today so new pics later if I get back in time. Update : Defoliated and tightened training on all three to spread things out from the center and open up the light and air paths. Raising the lights is working just wish I knew why as lights are higher than crap with little room for more than a few more inches. Would drop the watts to 450 but need the heat to keep the grow room level as our temps here swing 40 degrees all the time. Something I learned with the help of a carbon filter. If things normalize will begin dropping lights to see what happens. 11/20 Setting the lights at 24" as I am not risking yield any further than that on Layla and the Runtz, Have the canopy as level as it can be with Brandy getting the least light being on a coco coir block (heh) for height, which she is responding well to since I opened up the plant and no longer worried over mold issues in that main bud. Have Layla on a milk crate to bring her into decent light as well as the Runtz. She is just a lovely thing building those white crystalline buds. Maggie has turned into a beast at least I know her root ball is huge from the growth above. Seriously defoliated her removing several small lower branches and leaves blocking light and air paths. Next feed will be continuing what seems to be working, Epsom salt and bloom nuets (no calmag with epsom salt) with a foliar feed after lights out which may well be with calmag. Foliar feeding today at lights out, one quart sprayer with 1ml CaliMagic and 0.5ml wetting agent un-PH warmed to 75 F before spraying (our tap water comes out at @50F so...), just trying to hit hard and effective * New Pics after foliar Update Folks its taken 8 weeks and a final piece of the puzzle provided by Grey_wolf resulted in a near full strength cal-mag foliar feeding and the last def bites the dust. See what happens from here but its the first time I have felt good about this grow since the bad time germing at week one. *big sigh of relief* Have a whole list of things I will never do again in soil more about that at harvest. Right now I need to work on why calcium is blocked at the roots but thats another day right now I just wanna look at em. 😁 11/22 Another foliar feed same as before just diluted 30% and all three got it today JIC Cannot find a pale leaf or top and hairs are standing up on the top buds for once and buds building nice on the lower ares the defs were cleared up first. Going to stop the foliars for a few days see what happens but will resume at first sign of need. Maggie has potential even after all this and we going to help her be all she can :D 11/22 Feeding day - Bio-Bloom 7ml - calmag 4ml - Recharge .5tsp / gal at 6.5PH to all three. No foliar today 11/23 The thickness of the hair growth on Layla is amazing! Will try and get pics at lights out of it if my crappy camera will catch it. What a week, the Amnesia Haze from Divine Seeds continues to pack on flower and is honestly worth the wait for weight if you know what i mean 😉 she is currently going through her flush period and will luckily make it for atleast a week of drying and two weeks of curing before competition time, wish she had more time but unfortunately the glory of holding one of the first East Coast Canna Cup Trophies is the goal at hand and we get the feeling that she is without a doubt a cup winner. 29th April is D Day, wish us luck till then everyone

This plant was an absolute dream to. Grow, no issues at all with health of plant, just struggled to tame her as she was a a thick strong climber 💪💪. I'm so impressed with how this turned out, I could have flushed for another 3 days to make it 12days but I needed the space. After The 2 days of dark I was recommended I can definitely say it has vastly boosted her trichomes and the smell when I opened the tent blew my head away 😍😋 Aiming for a 10-14 day hang dry, The 10-12 weeks curing in jars with humidity packs. I will update with a dry bud weight and smoke test 👌 Bud wet weight is just 500g+ Final bud dry weight is 298g. Of juicy resinous purple and orange buds 😍 smells like sherbert and hang dry smoke test revealed a candy sherbert, no banana yet but hoping like the grow it matures with cure process now. Hits eyes straight away, sandy bottom kids, giggles, munchies, fun time with Mrs, bed. The transition from veg to flower is a magical time, and our plants are already showing signs of their future glory. Let’s dive into the exciting details of this week! Entering the Flower Stage Our P.C.R.s have officially entered the flowering stage, and the transformation is already visible. The stretch has begun, and you can see the plants reaching up, preparing to produce those beautiful buds we’re all waiting for. This stage is all about supporting their growth and ensuring they have everything they need to thrive. NutriSpray Magic This week, we’ve been diligently spraying Aptus Holland NutriSpray, and the results are phenomenal. NutriSpray is like a spa treatment for our plants, providing essential micronutrients directly to the leaves. It helps with nutrient uptake, reduces stress, and boosts overall plant health. Our P.C.R.s are absolutely loving it, standing tall and proud with their leaves praying to the light. Nutrient Transition With the start of the flowering stage, we’ve made some important adjustments to our nutrient regimen. This was an amazing experience for my first grow. Was super unsure of what I was going to yield, but I think 27 grams is a realistic harvest and Im looking forward to see if I can get bit larger of a yield on the next run. I want to try main-lining, see for better energy distribution and more equal bud growth. Also investment into a proper reflector and possibly enclosed space. Note- I trimmed my plant the night before harvest morning. I removed than fan leaves to start, and then proceeded to trim the plant. I pulled out a lot of the leaves with no frost by hand. The sugar leaves had so much crystal on it I thought I would leave the smaller ones on the bud. I gave it a light trim, and used all the trim to make Isopropyl Alcahol (99%) based extract. Got about 1 gram from the run. I also had a nice little ball of finger charas from the trimming. I harvested it in the morning at about 04:30 am before the light cycle triggered at 7am. She hung and dried for about a week, where I then chopped her into buds. She cured for 2 weeks before i started smoking. Ask anything you want to know! Or if I can be more clear on any areas of the grow! One Love!

Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Day 92. Plants are doing great !!! Frost is already amazing and they will surprise me more , I know it ! Today water, next time they will get last feed. From last week every time I water them, I do 10 leaves defoliation for each plant. So last week they lost 20 each, think this week I will do 30 more. Girls grew so nice and i knew that I'll have enough space for them, so I left them only heavily lolipoped . Was doing selective defoliation here and there, but max 20 leaves were taken from each plant before. Mostly just to expose crown side colas. Happy Growing !!!
