Cosmic Noodles — Week 5 from Seed Transition Week · Pre-Flower Expression · Two Approaches, One Room Hello everyone, and welcome to a big Week 5 update 🌱 This one is photo-heavy and detail-heavy, so thank you for bearing with us, there’s a lot happening, and we wanted to document it properly. This week marks what we consider a transition / pre-flower week, where hormonal shifts are clearly visible, structure is defining itself, and flowering intent is becoming obvious, especially on one of the plants. ⸻ 🌱 Quick recap for anyone just joining • Two autoflowers, same genetics, same room, same environment • Different early light histories: • One plant received an initial ~15 days under 18/6, then switched to 12/12 • One plant has been 12/12 from seed • Both are now growing side by side under 12/12 • No topping, no cutting, no high-stress training → Only low-stress techniques This run intentionally goes against many traditional autoflower “rules”, and that’s part of the learning process. ⸻ 🌿 Two Low-Stress Training Approaches (No Cuts, No Stress) 🔧 Plant with initial 18/6 period — Clamp-based LST This plant is responding extremely well to structural opening using metal clamps. • Clamps were used early to open the structure horizontally • Most clamps are now hidden under leaf mass, which is exactly what we want • Branching is strong, symmetrical, and well distributed • The plant currently looks like a round, open bush / ball • Internodes are stacking nicely, with great airflow She is not very tall yet, but that’s intentional — she has been pushed outward first. Now that structure is set, we expect vertical growth to accelerate. By the end of the week, she is clearly more advanced in pre-flower, with visible pistils and early flower formation. ⚠️ Important reminder: This plant also has ~15 days more life than her sister, which absolutely plays a role in developmental timing. ⸻ 🍃 Plant 12/12 from seed — Leaf bending & gentle tucking The second plant is trained exclusively through: • Leaf bending • Leaf tucking • Gentle redirection No clamps, no anchors — just guiding light access. She is: • Much taller (around ~30 cm by eye) • Roughly double the size vertically • Growing very fast, with all branches reaching upward • Open, dynamic, and beautifully balanced Her architecture suggests: • A strong root system still building • Rapid vertical expression • A plant preparing itself confidently for flowering She is slightly behind in visible flower development, which is expected given her age, but she is clearly transitioning. ⸻ 🌸 Flower Development & Pistils (White Hairs) On the plant that had the initial 18/6 period, we are seeing many pistils already. These white hairs: • Are the female reproductive organs • Indicate readiness to receive pollen (even though none will) • Signal the onset of flowering The 12/12-from-seed plant will show the same soon — just slightly later, which aligns perfectly with: • Her age • Her different early light history Nothing abnormal here — just biology doing biology. ⸻ 🌿 Leaves, Color & Genetics Both plants are showing: • Deep, lush green • Beautiful leaf texture and definition • No signs of deficiency or stress This is likely a combination of: • Strong genetics • Balanced nutrition • Correct environment • Gentle handling It’s honestly a privilege to watch them grow like this. ⸻ 💧 Watering, Nutrition & Why CalMag Comes In Now Hand-watered plants (the two we’re discussing): • Water: rainwater + dehumidifier-collected water • Very low mineral content → requires supplementation • This week we introduced CalMag Pro at 1 ml/L Why now? • Rapid growth + pre-flower = higher demand for Ca & Mg • Prevents: • Leaf issues • Structural weakness • Uptake problems later in flower Current hand-watering parameters: • pH: 5.9 • EC: 1.43 • Nutrition increased because plants are asking for it ⸻ Autopots (other plants in the room): • Mineral-only approach • Organics don’t work well in autopots • EC: 2.29 • pH: 6.1 Different systems → different recipes → same goal: healthy plants. Photos show measurements clearly for transparency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Check (Winter Reality) Outside conditions: • 4–5°C • 90–95% humidity Inside: • Temps dropped slightly but remain stable • Day RH ~58% with lights on • Nothing concerning yet That said: • Winter is humid • Conditions may shift • We are watching closely and will adapt as needed For now: all good. ⸻ ☀️ Light & PPFD PPFD is adjusted per plant size, not uniformly: • Ranges roughly 700–850 PPFD • Plants are praying constantly • Clear sign they love the spectrum and intensity Again: light is tailored, not brute-forced. ⸻ 🌱 Daily Handling & Plant Care • Hand-watered plants are taken out individually • Weight is checked • Plants are observed closely • Positions are adjusted so no one feels crowded The room is becoming a mini jungle, and that’s exactly the intention 🌿 ⸻ Fungus Gnats — Honest & Controlled Yes, we have some fungus gnats. • Yellow sticky traps are in place • Watering is controlled • Dry-downs are respected Personally, I see them as: • A manageable part of organic systems • A reminder to stay balanced • Possibly even a mild defense trigger (personal philosophy, not science) They are under control, and roots are healthy. ⸻ New Team Member: Mr. Baggy This week also marks the first appearance of Mr. Baggy — our fluffy blue buddy won in a Grow Diaries contest 🏆 He’s officially part of the crew now, and you’ll be seeing more of him around. ⸻ 🌱 Final Thoughts & Encouragement These two autoflowers are growing beautifully, despite: • Non-traditional light schedules • Different early paths • Ignoring much of the usual “bro-science” This run is a reminder that: • Cannabis does not behave linearly • Each garden is its own ecosystem • Trying, failing, observing, and learning is how knowledge is built I strongly encourage everyone to: • Test things yourself • Think independently • Respect the plant more than the rules Nature often surprises us. ⸻ 🔮 What to expect next • Continued stretch on both plants • Clear flowering progression on both • Structural payoff from current training • Ongoing environmental adjustments as winter continues Thank you all for following along, for your patience with this big update, and for the love and support. 🌿 Woche 4 🌱 Wachstum & Training 🌱 Es war an der Zeit, das Training zu beginnen. 🔧🌱 Der Plan ist, sie so symmetrisch runterzubinden, dass ich die allermeisten Triebe auf einer Höhe habe. 📏 Ich hoffe, dass sie sich nicht zu sehr in die Quere kommen – und alle Triebe wieder schön hochkommen. 🌞🌿 Ein kleiner Bruch ist mir dann doch passiert. 😬✂️ Bin aber guter Dinge, dass das wieder wird. 💪🌱 Hier und da musste auch wieder gut entlaubt werden. 🍃✂️ Ich fahre gerade so etwa 300 PPFD und werde es nur langsam erhöhen. 📉💡 Somit sollten die Triebe immer wieder nach Licht streben – und hochkommen. 🔝🌞 💧 Blumat & Gießen 💧 Ich gieße weiter nach Fahrplan: 🕒 Alle Paar Tage bei 110 mbar 🚿 2 l Wasser ☀️ Wetter 🌞 Kurzzeitig waren die Temperaturen wieder fast normal warm – so 26 °C. 😌🌤️ Aber ging dann wieder Richtung 30 °C und mehr ... 🔥 🎶 The Grow must go on! 🌱🎵

(Log date week 7, day 49) So this week was a mixed bag, Tuesday started off with me finding a spider web on one of the lower fan leaves on my Hulkberry plant and noticed some bite marks on some of Fat Banana. In my haste to give rid of the spider mites, i caused some minor wind damage to some of the fan leaves on Hulkberry which caused some copper spotting and a stunted Fat banana cola. After i correctly treated both plants for spider mites and wind damage, they both bounced back and started to recover quite nicely. I also noticed a difference between topping these plants at different times; i topped fat banana when it had 4 cola's but i waited until hulkberry's roots reached to the bottom of my 5gal bucket and she had 8 cola's. A BIG difference in their recovery and overall structure, where fat banana jump out the gate with explosive veg growth and hulkberry struggled for two weeks just to develop it's first set of fan leaves. To now whereas hulkberry is much bigger, greener and bushier than fat banana. Hulkberry has responded much better to the additional stress whereas fat banana has struggled or stalled due to the stressful conditions. All in all wasn't too bad of a week, except for the power going out for a couple of hours on Saturday which raised my grow-room temperature to 90f, i was able to put out a couple of fires this week without any adverse long term effects. I also topped hulkberry on the last day of the week and I'm going to continue to feed them Technfloa at the full recommended strength since they have both responded very well to last week's formula. as always my pic are in chronological order Mr. O.G.T

Last week of veg for these beautiful ladies then it's time to flip

Humidty Around 52% and temp around 20c lights on 75% capacity in the middle of week 2. Will be updating in a few days. So temperature shot way up, it got a lot colder outside so my heating started to work overtime and because the thermometer is in my livingroom, it got prettty hot in the growing room. It peaked at 30 and after i adjusted a few things it has now stabilized at 27 degrees celcius. Humidity went way down (-40%) so i turned on the humidifier and it's now back to aaround 55% Despite that te plants are looking good and the lights are now at 100%.Most plants are looking good, only the one in the front left of the tent is looking weird. It isn't growing it's main shoot, instead it looks like it is developing more of the side shoots. Will keep an eye on it the next few of days. I also sealed the room from light and adjusted the exhaust pipe for better air circulation.

Day 42 This girl is looking fantastic! The canopy is nice and full, with multiple strong tops forming evenly across the plant. The internodal spacing is tight, creating a bushy and compact structure that’s perfect for future bud development. Leaves are a rich, healthy green with no signs of stress, and side branches are stretching out nicely after training. Overall, she’s thriving and building a strong base for the flowering stage!

This girl is by far the healthiest plant I have ever had at this stage. By healthy I mean she is the biggest, the greenest, and has the thinckest stem I have grown yet. Today is day 28 from seed and she is as thick as a marker lol. I grow in small 5 gallon pots. My stem is normally as round as a milk jug cap. I feel like this could do better.

Week 3 of flower 12-12 Shes been top dressed. 2 tbs buildaflower 1 craft, 1/4 cup poo. Well i dressed 2 days ago with the others. Just just got it watered in today. Cal/mag 5ml, drops 1ml. Recharge 1/2 tsp. ( Split the water) And 14 ml EM1.

Day 28 - lookin good.... checkin everything daily, adjusting as nessec. .... might start lookin at a top/trim/bend/flower plan..... Day 32 - post some ... watch the vid.. pretty sure u know whats about to happen here... lol i'm a pretty good grower... :) check out the base on both those super silver haze... that last video... shows u the perfect base and stalks and stems ..... those stalks are each going to be for a beautiful long bud... lol didn't really start with a clean glow solution.... so just kinda been winging it..... in the next week or 2 i'll think about flush both out completely, start with fresh new flower solutions, and switch to 12hr lights....... getting some awesome growth out of the 60 W on each plant..... thats 6 x 10w household led light globes..... 👍😎

Der erste Strain des Outdoor Grows den ich Euch vorstellen werde ist die Purple Lemonade FF von 2Fast4Buds, eine 60% Sativa die laut FastBuds etwas nebulös als eine Kreuzung aus purple und citrus Cali Genetik beschrieben wird. Egal, sie soll sehr fruchtig und zitronig schmecken und könnte schöne Farben bekommen. Außerdem soll Sie eine kurze Blütezeit haben. Die Stecklinge kommen in die Mörtelwannen, die selbst gezogenen kommen in die bereits bewährten 15 und 20 Liter ROOTiES. So kann ich die auch mal direkt in die Sonne stellen. Der erste Steckling ist die Blueberry von Hanfgarten, eine 80% Indica, einer Kreuzung aus Afghan Indica x (Thai Sativa x Mexican Oaxacan Sativa), die nach 8 Wochen Blüte Mitte Oktober fertig sein soll. Außerdem soll sie fruchtig, beerig und süß schmecken. Die Aussicht, meine Schätzchen immer im Trockenen zu Wissen, lies mich sofort (also sofort nach einem Recall mit meiner Liebsten) zuschlagen. Danach war nur noch ein teilweiser Umbau unseres Gartens nötig, einen kleinen Weg anders verlegen, ein Fundament ausheben, Bordsteine zersägen, 2 Zentner Beton verbuddeln, Löcher bohren, verdübeln und verschrauben ohne das der Beton ausplatzt, einen haufen Astwerk vom Wein opfern und viel Rasen neu anlegen, das war's schon fast. Neu: Sind auch die zwei 90 Liter Maurerbottiche, in denen sich meine Pflanzen wohlfühlen dürfen, 4x soviel Platz wie im letzten Summer Outdoor Grow. Zur Drainage habe ich Rheinkiesel 9-18 verwendet. Da drauf kam mein altes Erdmischungsrezept mit frischem Kompost von Piluweris, Lehm, den die Wühlmäuse ständig in unserem Rasen aufwerfen und Sand aus'm Kieswerk mit gaaanz viel Staub drinne, praktisch Gesteinsmehl. Auch hier gab's was Neues: Hornmehl zusätzlich, hatich früher schon verwendet und ganz vergessen. Der erste Sack Sonnenerde Hanferde wurde mit der oberen Schicht meiner Mischung vermischt. Der zweite Sack kam dann blank obendrauf. Neu: Für mich ist auch die angewendete Keimmethode noch neu, die Samen zuerst in einem Marmeladenglas mit temperiertem Wasser mit Zusatz von Wasserstoffperoxyd keimen zu lassen. Das ist jetzt das dritte Mal, dass ich diese Methode anwende. Der Vorteil daran ist die superschnelle Keimung, der Keim schaut tatsächlich bereits am nächsten Tag aus der Schale und nach ein oder zwei weiteren Tagen haben sich die Keimlinge von der Samenschale befreit. Das weitere Vorgehen bereitet mir noch Probleme. Ich verwende immer noch die SmartStart Plugs von Zamnesia die ich praktisch halbiere, also von oben nach unten einmal Mittendurch. Dahinein lege ich jetzt den Keimling und klappe die zwei Hälften dann zusammen und pflanze den Plug in den Topf. Neu: In die Wannen kommen zusätzlich Gäste als da wären erprobte und neue sowie überwinterte Chilisorten, verschiedene Basiliken oder -kums, Weiße Melisse, Roter Klee, paar Blumen und so. Tag 64: Im Greenhouse hat es tags bis 40°C bei 24% RLF, heiß und trocken. Die Mörtelwannen bekommen jeden morgen 10 Liter, die Töpfe 2 Liter Brunnenwasser. Abends gibt es noch eine kleine Erfrischung. Nachts hat es 16°C bei 89% RLF, bisle kühl und feucht. Tag 65: Tagestemperatur im Greenhouse heute 41,5°C bei 24%RLF. Für's Wochenende sind Unwetter angekündigt. Nachts kühlt es auf 18°C ab, bei 90% RLF. Tag 66: 42°C bei 20%RLF, die Sonne brennt, dass es auf der Haut richtig unangenehm wird. Nachts 18°C bei 87%. Tag 67: Unwetter gab es einige an diesem Wochenende, bei uns hier im Südwesten gab es in der Nacht ein wenig Regen und am Tag war es wieder heiß. Tag 68: Es ist nicht mehr ganz so heiß, wie die letzten Tage, es hat 34°C bei 44% RLF, Nachts bleibt es bei 18°C und 96% RLF. I started the spring with the experimental "Black Mamba 42," and here are my impressions. The plant spent 108 days indoors. Roots appeared on day two, and the seedlings shed their seed shells on day four. The plant stretches significantly in height; I managed to fit it into a 130 cm tall grow box by topping it and training the branches outward with plastic clips. At day 108, the buds were still a bit small; they could have easily gone another 2–4 weeks. The scent was moderately intense—nothing overpowering. Visually, the buds turned out to have medium density. The maximum wet weight for the two plants combined was 300g; I expect to harvest a solid 50g dry. We’ll know the exact figure in seven days—I don't like weighing wet material with the stems attached. As for issues: one plant suffered from acidification around day 15 (due to a faulty meter), which severely stunted its growth. Towards the end, the grow box was hit by spider mites. I also left it on an auto-watering system (using a 15L jug) for a week, and it dried out a bit. I had another plant from an international seed bank in the same group for comparison, and it handled the identical conditions perfectly. This strain isn't the easiest to grow and is a bit finicky. It requires a 2-meter-tall indoor grow space; in a one-meter space, without bending or training, the tops will get burned by the light around day 30–40 from seed. Bottom line: I didn't love the strain, though I’ll give it another shot later with the remaining seed. I plan to try seeds from two other banks. I recommend this strain to anyone with a 2-meter grow box who enjoys long grow cycles and cultivating massive Sativa monsters—and to anyone wanting to support our local breeders.
