This week I tried to let them go, only did some gnat hunting with the vacuum to keep populations down. Sunshine found a great way to hold the plant down with some thrift store Christmas light fixtures. At the end of this week, I tied the remaining upward stalks down and away. The final bits of training before we can hopefully go towards flowering coming week. I did some foliar feeding also to help the soil dry out a bit, also to fight the gnats. Maybe overdid it a bit with a few yellow points on the leaves. On to flowering!!

Apollo is in early flower. I water and fertilize Tuesday, Thursday and water on Saturday or Sunday. Even though the plants started within 2 weeks of each other, Apollo is in flower now. We just pushed through another absolute beast of a week, and the first half of it was pure survival mode. The temperatures peaked at a jaw-dropping 39°C, and even the nights offered zero relief, staying at a sticky 26°C minimum. It’s been an intense endurance test for an outdoor grow! The Daily Hydration & Feeding Strategy: 💧 To keep them from turning into crisp, dry twigs, I had to switch to a strict every-single-day watering schedule. Missing even one day in that kind of heat wave would have been catastrophic. Amazingly, the ladies are showing incredible resilience—they haven’t displayed any noticeable signs of distress or major issues so far. Development is moving along beautifully, though I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any delayed fallout from the extreme heat stress. Nutrient-wise I'm feeding them at about 75% of the recommended dosing plan to keep them happy without overdoing it in this heat. I figured nothing could go wrong with 50% amber / 50% milky trichomes. Harvest day, Medical Mass: Huge buds and no traumas but got bud rot because of too high temps. The best I've ever smoked. Harvest day, Pineapplex Express: Got an early trauma when transplanting but handled it beautifully. Potent smoke. Pretty satisfied for a first grow, and I have a lot of changes for my 2nd grow!
