Hello and welcome to week 8 for the quite amazing Nesia. She is growing as if there were no tomorrow... being the largest plant in the series. Please check last week which is now complete. Day 50: Fertigated 5l. Height: 56cm. Yes you read that correctly. 6cm stretch in 1 day. Oh dear. Also added a couple of carnivorous plants to take care of the odd fungus gnat. Day 51: I've taken a long video and some better photos to demonstrate Nesia's size. She now measures 60cm tall that's another 4cm in a little over 12 hours. 😔 What a plant! Day 52: Lazy day no measurements. Day 53: Fertigated 5l - height 62cm Day 54: Fertigated 5l - height 65cm.- Nesia is already my largest plant. Larger even than her majesty the Queen. She's not done yet. 3cm vertical stretch in 24h. It is Nesia's turn in the middle so I've trimmed all leaves that extended outward. Day 56: Height 72cm. Nesia has continued to stretch and is extremely thirsty. She's taking about 5 litres a day at the moment. I fear she is not finished yet. End of week summary: Nesia has continued to stretch fast and gained 22cm in height this week. She's now putting out a lot of pistils but the stretch hasn't slowed yet.

Another great week goto keep defoliating every few days still more LST trying to open her out a little more it's drinking loads and buds are starting to show some signs of trichomes 😊decided to up the nutrients to 1.5 m per L and put explode in this week hopefully she likes it 😀

These photos represent the first week of my first indoor cycle. I'd like to emphasize that if the GMOs don't appear at the end of the cycle, it's because they're seeds from a flower I purchased without provenance. The other seeds are all from trusted seed banks. The soil is 100% organic. For further information, Terro Super Soil offers a similar recipe, with the addition of various flours and other ingredients to encourage microbial and fungal activity. In the first week, mycelia began to form on the soil surface, indicating good fungal activity. Along with the mineral addition of lime and nit, Tricoderma Hazarium, a beneficial fungus for rooting and root health, was also added. Just 1 ml per week is sufficient for now.

Well I decided I had to pull the plug on this girl with all the weird weather we've been having. I've been pulling yellowing fan leaves off her for a couple weeks now and with our 2nd heat wave and all the smoke & ash thrown in for bad measure... it's been truly weird. Yesterday was a day for the record books around here - it was so dark I could tell my pets were spooked. Even they knew it wasn't supposed to be this dark in daytime. Probably how animals react to things like a solar eclipse. If they haven't got somebody nearby to reassure them of some sense of normal - the alarm bells start going off. I hadn't really gotten the impression this girl was all that fragrant during the flowering process UNTIL I was washing all that ash off her this morning - then I was like - WOW this stiff is pretty intense in the nose. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that the sun ain't coming out for a couple more days the ways the smoke be flowing around here. We'll see. Two more plants on the patio but they aren't far behind. September 13 >> Debudded the Widow late this afternoon to make space in my shed to harvest Jack Herer in the morning. She was still a little moist as I harvested her 3 days ago - but it hasn't been that hot. The smoke is still hiding the sun and the atmosphere is labeled "unhealthy". Hung her up in my front bedroom to finish the drying process. I should note the passing of reggae giant (many say inventor) Toots Hibbert, of Toots and the Maytals last Friday. I went looking for some pics of the last show I saw him at and coincidentally it turned out to be one year ago today, September 13, 2019 at the Independant in San Francisco. I was lucky to have seem him a few times. So I uploaded about 30 seconds worth of Pressure Drop from that show. RIP Buddy. 😪 ====================================================== September 21 >> Finished hand trimming the Widow yesterday while mostly listening to the last round of the US Open. In September... while they're playing Stanley Cup playoffs too. Very weird time.... both these things normally happen in June every year. The buds weighed in at basically 8 ounces (227 grams). The trim came in at 325 grams - and in this case I use the Trimbag - although I don't think she was really dry enough to get proper function outa the bag. I still spent over 6 hours hand trimming the remainder AFTER the Trimbag in this case. It wasn't really a problem because I had like 10 hours of US Open coverage for 4 days to burn thru. In the process of turning all that trim into hash at the moment... because I'm all configured to go at the moment after making Wonder Pie hash last week. I'll stick it in the garage to dry for a few days and add the weights later. One thing I've noticed that's probably pandemic-related is 90% isopropyl alcohol has become very hard to find (haven't had to look for like 6 months because I had a couple bottles that lasted). I've used it to clean my glass bong/dab rigs for years. 70% is there - but even that now it's like you have to ask for it. This girl is really starting to thicken up! She smells so damn good!!! The buds have loads of trichomes. The buds almost look as good as ones grown indoor. 🤞 the weather stays nice. Although I built her a shelter that I can put poly over 😏 😎🍿

Ya estamos en proceso de formación de la flor. Se ven algunas más grandes que otras. Pero a grandes rasgos estan muy parejas. Me preocupa un poco la cercanía a la luz, dado que estoy en 15cm y cualquier estirón extra, sería una complicación. Vamos a ir viendo como se dan las cosas, pero al momento, no me puedo quejar. Las plantas se ven bien y saludables. Día 24. Se empieza a notar el engorde. Esperando a que aparezcan las hojas de azúcar, que ya se empiezan a visibilizar las primeras. Voy a ver si puedo conseguir overdrive de advanced para cuando se terminen de formar las flores. Entre tanto solamente tuve un inconveniente de pérdida de agua por una manguera que moví al atar las plantas, pero ya repuse la solución perdida y todo va encaminado. No sé si van a tardar las 6 semanas que dice el catálogo, pero cuanto mucho serán 8. Seguiré actualizando. Día 26. Las flores empiezan a yomar su forma voluminosa. Estoy en duda sobre si agregar PK la semana próxima o la otra. Quizá empiece a usarlo en el próximo depósito. No quiero tampoco sobrepasarlas y agregar el producto antes porque tengo entendido que puede ser contraproducente. De todos modos me quedan dos días para el cambio de solución, así que voy a ver cuando termine la semana. Entre tanto, ya empiezan las emociones. Día 28. Hice ina poda de hojas bien fuerte. Ya de esa forma dejo expuesto a la luz todo lo que tiene que terminar de engordar y de paso me esquivo posibles problemas de humedad. Al final voy a usar el PK de greenhouse que tengo, pero voy a subir la dosis. Mañana se viene el cambio de solución, para lo que sería la ante última semana en teoría. Vamos a ver como evoluciona, porque los cambios son muy abruptos de una semana a la otra. Y llegado el momento miraré los tricomas, como para ir haciéndome a la idea.

Very easy to grow, this is my second Gorilla Zkittlez and both grew without problems

Day 64: It seems to go well. I am still keeping an eye on the "hanging" leaves. I think they tend to hang a little more when light on, and less with light off but its hard to say if it is normal. It might be as @GrowingGrannie mentioned, they might be under watered, as there is not much run-off at the last couple of watering's, maybe 1l each time and I will give them a 30% run-off next time to be sure UPDATE: I have noticed some more brown spots on the right plant caused by Calcium Deficiency. I think I should up the PH a bit more, going for 6.5 this time. I will also increase my CalMag supplement by 50%, and do 30% run-off today Day 66: Thank you all for the kind answers 🙏 You all have different opinions, and it is hard to pinpoint the exact problem. I am almost certain that I got some heat/light stress as mentioned by @GrowingGrannie and @Chow_13. I have therefore raised the lamp and are keeping the dimmer very low, using about 140W in total. I am still investigating if there might be other problems to it. @m0use, thank you for your answer. I do not think they are thirsty, at least not any more, as I am already on the subject for the last couple of days. About PH, It was difficult to get a good picture of the PH solution, but it was light-green to green (6.5-7.0) on the picture (And that was run-off PH) and what I put in was adjusted slowly from yellow to light-green aka 6.0-6.5 (I wrote 6.25 but it was auto adjusted) @gottagrowsometime, thank you for the answer. I do not think it is a nitrogen toxicity. My leaves aren't that dark green, although they are a bit to the dark side but not like what I see on other pictures with that problem. I also think the curling is caused by light/heat stress as I just got a new lamp and are experimenting with it. But I will keep your suggestion in the back of my head! @Chow_13, thank you very much for your answer. I think you are spot on, however I am not sure it is the only problem... It might be as you say, nutrients are not absorbed correctly due to the light-stress, but I will not put all my money on that @Nugsery and @GrowingGrannie, a big thank you for your answers. The deficiencies might not be the same, but the cure is very similar. I cannot make up who is right, but I do have a plan. I will follow your recommendation @GrowingGrannie and @Nugsery, and do a flush, but with a ph 5.8 as both nutrients should be able to be absorbed in that level. I will then give her a light nutrient mix and adding PK, also 5.8 ph. This is almost the same solution for both deficiencies. I will then slowly get the ph back to 6.2 @ernesttwwg, thank you for your answer. I have known for some time I have some Interveinal chlorosis, but I do not know what is causing it. There is multiple deficiencies giving those symptoms. The tacoing of leaves, and leaf tips curling down I think is caused by the light, and I have therefor raised the light. I will keep investigating the symptoms you mention OBS: I will not edit my nutrient schema as this is only temporarily, next watering will be as described UPDATE: After flushing with 15L~ ph 5.8~ and a small feed with 5.8~ ph I still get about 6.5~ ph in my run-off water. I am going to do another flush tomorrow to see I can bring it down to around 6.0~ ph Day 67: I think I see small improvements on the leaves. The new heat/light level seem to have done something. I did that second flush and are still getting about 6.5 ph in run-off.... I think I will let her dry for now, monitoring what happens, and do another flush in a couple of days
