Here we are with another super strain from Royal Queen Seeds!!! This one was my first choice, but she was still not available on March, so I had to wait to have the chance to grow this super plant! Royal queen seeds sent me this amazing package full of gadgets and goods for cultivate, so I'm testing their organic nutrients to see the differences and the yield they will have on my tiny plants :) During this week I was not at home, I waited germination then I went to holiday, but everything was ok when I came back! For the moment the Hulkberry auto is under led light -a cheap one, just for first two weeks- I’ll move her outside when she will become a little bit stronger (I have a lot of snails and parasites in my garden and they literally love this kind of plant 😒) Thanks Royal Queen Seeds to gave me the opportunity to grow this beauty ❤️

Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.

Day 41 - 07/12/19 This one has grown a hell of a lot of fan leaves. had to pluck a lot of them. now the light can penetrate lower growth. theres a lovely NYCD smell coming from this one! smells amazing! Height is 36cm at the tallest cola and thats with a big LST. trying to keep height down as i have not added rope rachets to my lights yet. Im gonna be giving a fair bit of Nitrogen this week (Canna A), potassium and phosphorus (Canna B) as flowering stage is here :) Changed Ph from around 6.6/6.7 - 6.3 Added a few pictures and a video to show progress from last week. not much else this week just happy little plants! Day 43 - 09/12/19 Just rotating the diesel now twice a day so it all gets light coverage as im keeping my Quick One plant mostly under the flowering lights until its harvest next week. apparently the quick one has a polyploid mutation causing it to have a much bigger yield. so i think it deserves the light for a few more days. The diesel is still giving off that lovely smell and getting bigger every day. its definitely wider than my quick one and soon to be taller. Had to defoliate some of the bigger fan leaves to allow more light through to lower growth as the odd fan leaf was turning yellow. Ive been feeding 2 times with nutes and water phed and giving only phed water on the third occassion to prevent salt buildup and nutrient toxicities. Check out my other diaries if you get a chance and keep on growing!

So the power went out due to city power failure 6 hrs into the light cycle for the day. That was fun. Buds have started to put on some size, so thats great! We were also in the longest deep freeze where I live in 50 years so the basement ( grow room) got really cold... especially during the power outage. Leaves are showing purple due to ( what I believe) cold temps. Maybe the outtage actually helped them because since then they really started packing it on. Very nervous about the possibility of herming because of what happened but i am keeping a close eys on things.

Day 49-56 (June 18th - 25th) (Day 51) Slurricanes and tuna are doing excellent despite their hail damaged leaves. I’m seeing good growth and decent dry downs. One of them looks like it’s been ravaged by pests but I still can’t find any evidence or signs of a pest. I’m suspecting caterpillars so I’m going to grab some BTK killer and also some all purpose insecticide sometime this week if I have time. The clones are all really lagging so they won’t be flipped until July 15th at least. I’m still not seeing normal growth on any of them yet. It’s still quite gnarled and twisted. (Day 52) The slurricane and tuna roots are starting to poke through the bottom of my pots. This is usually from underwatering, a thick soil or a hot root zone. I’m going to give everything except for the autos a good watering with some runoff. I am going to start incorporating 5mm sand into all of my soil mixes to help make the soil more loamy and give it some better drainage. I will also top dress every container and bed plant I have. (Day 53) I was at a local department store today and I was shocked to see pallets of Destiny dark matter soil selling for 60% off! I bought 10 bags for a hundred bucks. At any hydro store that would have costed me 250 at least. I might go grab more because it looks like no one is buying it for 60% off even. (Day 54) I’m going to be harvesting both of my indoor crops today and tomorrow or the next day I am going to be reusing the soil-coco blend for the slurricanes. I’m first going to till it, add a gallon of sea compost, a gallon of Destiny soil and a few cups of 5mm sand per container. I will use the excess for 5 gal pots. I will be amending with: 5 tablespoons of nature’s pride bloom 4 tablespoons of kelp meal 2 tablespoons of Gaia green AP 2 tablespoons of glacial rock dust 2 tablespoons of oyster shell flour 2 tablespoons of alfalfa meal 1 tablespoon of rock dust blend 1/4 teaspoon of langbeinite (Day 56) The autos are really making a comeback now. I was under the impression that I was working against the clock and they would start flowering after 3-5 weeks. I guess if they’re stunted from the cold they will delay flowering. I don’t see any pistils or signs of flowering yet so I don’t think they’ve officially started flowering yet I didn’t get a chance to do my transplant this week or pest control. I will get to it ASAP because my photos are drinking almost a liter a day

I almost stripped them naked kinda but I need to get more light to the lower bud sites otherwise they are pretty much popcorn. The Green Gelato is happily starting to produce flowers while the Lemon Cherrys are taking their time to stretch one of them is almost 130cm tall and that was the 1 that was the most behind in the early weeks ahhahaha. Week 6 day 1 video Week 6 day 4 video I’m still pushing very hard with carbs every watering, humic acid, soluble n, soluble pk, microbial mass, b+, fishshit. Already tried testers for lowers. Very potent hits harder than a pen. Feels like 30-40% baked for 1-3h per j, different phenos. Not harsh just testers dried for 0:01:15, checked seeds and developing for 2-3 weeks
