I have formal education in horticulture specialist, however marijuana is so resilient and so strong and so willing and ready to live. But I plan to take it to its limits

This was her first week on 12/12. She's grown 8cm this week. I've switched to 6-12-36 powdered nutrients now.

Got a new light now under mars hydro getting transplanted tonight to bigger pots and 10 are going to 4x8 tent 6 staying in 5x5 going into flower in about 2 weeks

Disconnected from autopots due to overwatering symptoms. Some leaf edges curling up so I am also suspecting on heat/light stress. Went forward with LST on both plants.

week 6 officially started, leaves are starting to get a little yellow on the right plant which is a lil worrying, trichomes on the left plant look insane so far, smell is pungent at this point, other than the yellow leaves the grow is growing really easy

Ich fahr halt gleich ein doppel Experiement mit dem Licht. Bisher aber holt sie ganz gut nach mit 900-1000 PPFD auf die ziemlich gleich hohe Krone . Aug 24: cool and rainy lately but will warm up again in a couple days. Gorilla Cookies looks really good and is flowering nicely. Very nice strain. Added some soluble seaweed to the water mostly for the K. Don’t take flash pics of photoperiods unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm light to put them into dark mode. Using the far red light like this is known as phyto-forcing and it’s like getting an extra two hours of darkness making a 26 h day. This far north I think it moves flowering up by 3-4 weeks so obviously a huge trick. Easy and cheap if you have daily access at dusk. Aug 26: it’s been a couple of weeks but I figured it was time for a lazy compost tea. I watered with it slightly diluted and the plants look almost immediately greener and more vigorous…amazing actually. 👍👍 Aug 27: this is definitely the fastest flowering of the four. Hopefully it stays sunny for a few more weeks. Thinned out the understory a bit as there were some small branches and bud sites that were not going to do anything. Check out the birds sounds on the first video. The magpies thought I was too close to their nest in the tree or something…they’re usually not quite that annoying. Aug 29: this is a great strain, and the manifold is working its magic.

Super hot week again, 32c days, she's loving it. Growth slowed a bit, just starting to finally see pistils, so hopefully on track for end of September harvest. Total days above ground: 63 Total flower nights: 24 Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. The Mountaintop Mint has made great strides but is still a lanky bitch. I had to HST every branch, and may need to bend a couple more down before vegetative growth abates. Not a fan of this growth pattern and still unhappy about 2 out of 9 seeds providing a viable outcome. The bright side is that yield should be fine given the plethora of bud sites. Despite being difficult to grow next to other plants, I feel much better about its prospective outcome than I did just 1 week ago. That whole "crazy shit can happen in flower" thing rings true, again. Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action... One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health. I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless. Side note: The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference. Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.

A new week with new developments :). Not much to report but the girls are doing really well. Pistils are popping up left right and centre. The stretch on both plants has actually been less leggy than I'm used to from this strain. Ive just been doing straight water feeds with no added liquid seaweed and no top amendments to the soil this week. As you can see the girls really aren't in need of any more nutrients at this time but next week I'll be feeding with liquid seaweed again and the next top amendment dressing isn't due for another three weeks along with another defoliation to allow light to those lower bud sites. I have done some tying down just to ensure a more even canopy for better light penetration to the lower growth. Since I haven't got a lot to report I took a couple of videos and some photos for you all to enjoy. Day 44, 30th of October 2020: Here we go I am back from holiday this girl grew a lot. The first 6 pictures before LST and the rest is after picture. I switches the light to 12/12 from tomorrow and leave her in darkness for one day from now. She has got already some smell also... ;) I have ordered and extraction fan kit so with filter it will be used soon. Next week starts more intensive fertilization as well :) Let's start to flower hahaha :) Happy Smokes ;)

Sorry for the late update, everyone. Thank you for checking out the garden. This lady has absolutely exploded! I am anxious to see how her buds stack up over the coming weeks. She has been drinking and feeding so much lately that I went ahead and bumped her up to 75% nutes instead of just 50%. We will see soon how she handles them. I was getting crazy pH swings (down to 4.4) because of how heavy she had been feeding. With the tap water I have, the new nutes measure about 850-900 ppm, but tap is about 200, so ~700 ppm of actual nutes. On day 1 I transplanted 2 BB clones into 3 gal smart pots with coco coir. I watered them in with veg formula and set up my blumat watering system with week 1 flower nutes. I raised PPFD to 600-700. On day 2 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.4 to 6.0. The rez is 823 ppm. The tops are 16.5" from the grow light. The blumats have not started watering yet and I will monitor to ensure it goes smoothly. I have the blumats set at 1.25 carrots on left plant and 1 carrot on right plant. The average PPFD of my 16 tops is 703 PPFD. I increased temps to 85 day 81 night to get leaf surface around 80 f during day. On day 3 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. The rez is 782 ppm. The blumats have started watering and I will monitor closely over the next few days. On day 4 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.3 to 6.1. The rez is 717ppm. On day 5 the reservoirs PH is steady at 6.1. The rez is 706 ppm. The highest top is 15.25" from the light. I defoliated to bring in more air and light to deeper into the canopy. I increased the flow rate of blumat by .5 carrot on the right plant as it was a little to dry for my liking. The Clones are preforming well. On day 6 the reservoir PH is going down so I adjusted up from 6.0 to 6.2. The rez is 730 ppm. The highest cola is 14.75" from the light. The left plant had a runaway so I reduced blumat by 1 carrot. I increased flow of blumat on right plant by .5 carrot as it is still drier than I would like. On day 7 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.3 to 6.0. The highest cola is 14.25". I reset rez with nutes.
