Week 8 - this Afghan kush will be monster and she start drinking water like crazy every day 2.5L 😃 So far it's growing well had small issue with leafs but now she is getting back to normal.

Hey hey growmies! another longer week, as I wanted to show these girls bouncing back from some problems I ran into with my Kratky experiment. about halfway through the week my plants started drooping and showing signs of overwatering, my guess is either the plant outgrew her air roots or the reservoir was too hot, inhibiting the plants ability to take up oxygen. either way, a quick peek at the roots showed some very healthy looking noodles, so I decided to not take any chances and come up with a solution that would solve both those problems. I took a 3 litre container, put a coat of primer and black paint on it to keep light out, then a layer of plumbers tape to bounce some of the grow lights off of the container, theoretically keeping the heat out, some other things I could have done was paint it white, or put some wall insulation around it. I could have also kept my jars and tried some troubleshooting, fill them less and more often. but I am happy with the roots created by Kratky, that's the nice thing about that system, it forces the roots to grow more horizontally, the roots have now created a sturdy foundation for low stress training and are perfect for placing into DWC. so that's what I did, I added a tiny pump and air stone, and for now both plants will sit in this tiny container, The Runtz will be moved to the tent as soon as possible, hopefully before these girl's roots get entangled, If that does happen, I will have to trim back some of the Runtz roots, I don't want to hurt the autoflower. now you've likely wondered what is up with the host of deficiencies the plants are showing, honestly that's just neglect on my part. I can tell there's damage from overwatering, pH fluctuations and even some lockouts. I am more on top of it now, the pH is more stable, the plants are getting oxygen and will recover plenty before flower. Plus I get to show off how hardy ruderalis is, look at the auto-flower compared to the photo period, she barely cares about the high temps, pH fluctuations all she appears to want is more food, so I have increased the ec to 1 ms, but most importantly, ill keep the pH in a range where they can actually take up the nutrients now That's it for now Growmies, Thanks for checking out my diary. First week of vegatative growth still on the small side but going smoothly overall. Water every 2-3 days depending how dry it gets and then re-watering with 190 ppm all purpose plant food once this week then other times with water again. pH averaging around 6.2 but still having some issue with pH. Will top one or them next week and attempt mainlining

It's been a pretty good week. I did quite a big defoliation, as things were getting crowded. The girls are having a very strong diesel smel! I switched to a more flowering dominant feeding, I decreased the Nitrogen and pumped up the phosphorus and potassium. I will soon do a flush, as it looks like the nuts are starting to accumulate at the roots.

Since i put my filter the temperature ir a bit high, i think the extractor in not powerfull enough 😔 All 3 Sensi Skunk are 50cm tall, and starting to flower, Big Bug is 35 cm and only a few pistils.. I realized that i started to count day 1 when it was already day 5 or so.. but no problem 😁 I dont have a ph or ec meter (will be my next investment), i just have those drops for test ph, And today when i finished mixing the nutes, i tested with those drops and it was to low, (orange color) so i had to take off 1/4 off the solution, and add tap water, which has high ph and i manage to bring the ph up,(yellow color). Hope they like this mix of waters and nutes i gave them 😆 13/06/2021 Day 27 (from seed) - 1.7L water+nutes Day30 - 2L water Day32 - 2L water + nutes Big Bud is not looking good 😔 bottom yellow leaves and the upper leaves very pale.. growing very slow compared to the others. Same water and nutes for all of them, so i dont know whats the issue. ☹️

On wednesday 21/07 the deficiency got pretty bad and did a quick water change. In the timelapse it’s very visible that the plant collapsed. The plant is now recovering but will be fine evantually. I’ll let it grow for this week and then do another round of Topping

3/11 to 3/17 Veg Days 22 to 28 Week 3 Transferred to Auto pot base and continue to top feed for another week before setting up and turning it on. Began node strength training by simply pressing down on the branches to encourage water way repairs into the branches since these are the main arms of my mainlines. They more than doubled in size in just 4 days. Feed this week was 3 cups of 6.3ph RO water once using 100ppm of Veg Mix (recipe Week 2) However, I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0). Then about 4 days later when I transferred to the auto pot, I added .5gal of plain RO water to top feed over the new soil. Feed plan next week will be to start using the reservoir and autopot base feed by the end of the week. I expect to use another .5 top feed prior to that tho.

This plant was not to bad in terms of lst needs and defoliating needs as much as the other ones. This will be the last week they are in Veg and switching to flower cycle next week with a 12/12 photoperiod. I was going to try a 13/11 but I wanted to test out the automatic light functions on the Medic Grows Minisun-2, So this will be relieved next week. Been having issues with PH in the medium again and some nutrient uptake. I am thinking I will switch to another brand I have to use up, trip tonic from my last grow on the balcony. Its a bit more complex and not as easy as mix into water and feed but I think its going to help me solve a lot of the issues I am getting. Given this update is a few days late some of these pics are not from today. the clones in the photos above are from the beginning of the week when I potted them up. They have not done well at all and may not make it. can only hope for the next few weeks they pull through. Turned light to 12/12 start week 6 day 35. Defoliated the central cola's to allow the sides to catch up. She's stretching fast at the moment. I'll start feeding her from week 7

day 42: LOTTA leaves, had to defoliate 2-3 times. they started to show their first pistils a couple days before the Ayahuascas, hope I can do a harvest before May,(the Peyotes) but it seems really tricky..unfortunately I need to leave them for a week in April. I'm pretty scared to leave them alone at the end of flowering... Day 43: do you think the leaves on 2 plants might be too dark green? Thanks! day 46: defoliating

I see a lot of branches growing out, i kept cleaning the bottom side so it focus on main colas. I see the size change so quick i wasn't even ready for it :-( i had a really busy working period this time i only add the feed. The Moby is the tallest and as i noticed it frosted out completely, Og is little smaller but fatter if you follow me, Lemon is a little behind but will be very nice Colas... After keeping an eye on the tricomes I've seen most of them turn white so last night I mixed 1.5ml/L of flawless finish and saturated the soil and left to set overnight this morning I flushed all 3 plants so far they dont look stressed out at all I was scared being my first time yet I still dont know if it was successful
