Well the older (28 day) gal is doing great, bent the main stem quite a bit along with a few side budsites, excited to see how much is stretches out in the new tent. The younger (21 day) gal is doing her thing - power veg mode, interesting to see even though she's a week younger, she's just doing her own thang ;) I may need to trim a few leaves off her to get light to the bud-sites underneath. happy growing y'all! 😎

08/30/2021 - Noticing more gnats than usual. Could be overwatering, anaerobic soil conditions, or both. - Going to set up fly traps, starve both the plant and the gnats of water for about a week. - Will observe any stress responses due to an extended dry period.

Both girls started preflower on Tuesday and already I can see that they started stretching nicely. Scrog net will be installed by the end of this week. Week 5 13-19 Nov. 13/11 day 36 First runoff experience for girls. Loaded both pots with approx. 2.5 ltr each in 4 stages of 500-700ml. Runoff 100-150ml from each. Runoff PH 5.9. Nutrients for this watering were same as on previous week and added only calmag. Next watering possibly Friday but with new measurements. 14/11 day 37 Both 🍌💜👊 girls started preflower on same day. Xena is catching up quick to her larger sister and possibly soon they will be sharing this growing space 50/50 15-16/11 days 38-39 Just happy and healthy days 😁 nice steady growth. 17/11 day 40 Second watering for this week. 5.5l beetwen both. Runoff Ph 6.1 19/11 day 42 Most busiest day so far. Both girls got very bushy in last few days and they stretched enough to install scrog net. Top of the tent. Has a dimmer switch to help regulate temperature. I have it mounted at the top of the tent 55" from top of soil. If it was any lower it would overheat my tent. I also have a 6" inline fan with a 4" carbon filter running full tilt. I also have two 8" fresh air vents pulled out at bottom of tent. It's also reinforced with a wood frame so I can have a lot of negative pressure without collapsing the tent.

This plant was not to bad in terms of lst needs and defoliating needs as much as the other ones. This will be the last week they are in Veg and switching to flower cycle next week with a 12/12 photoperiod. I was going to try a 13/11 but I wanted to test out the automatic light functions on the Medic Grows Minisun-2, So this will be relieved next week. Been having issues with PH in the medium again and some nutrient uptake. I am thinking I will switch to another brand I have to use up, trip tonic from my last grow on the balcony. Its a bit more complex and not as easy as mix into water and feed but I think its going to help me solve a lot of the issues I am getting. Given this update is a few days late some of these pics are not from today. the clones in the photos above are from the beginning of the week when I potted them up. They have not done well at all and may not make it. can only hope for the next few weeks they pull through. These have been put through hell. With the makeshift tent door really struggled with conditions especially humidity which has been around 68% which is miles to high. Unbelievably no sign of mold and they’re definately frosty and smelling the part. Yield will be well down but so glad I didn’t pull the plug on them.

Week went good some are further along then others but they all looking beautiful fan leaves starting to yellow and purple and such on some then others they just stretching still they won’t all finish at same time I don’t think but it’s ok

So far my confidence in this next go around is very high! 😃☀️ Putting the seeds straight into a jiffy pellet is the way I am going to proceed with germination going forward. You are just adding extra variables to what should be a simple equation (seed in sterile medium + warmth + moisture = seedling) unlike with the paper towel method, where you need to transfer them to the medium. But this is just one opinion of a rookie grower.
